  1. Famous E reviewed in the latest SOS issue: “Conclusion There are of course other sampled and modelled Rhodes out there, and for some perspective I loaded a few leading contenders alongside. All subjective of course, but for me the best modelled competition offered similar responsiveness but couldn’t match the timbral complexity. Meanwhile, none of the multisampled alternatives had such an immediately attractive and vivacious character, despite various strengths of their own. So what we have here may just be a single MkI, but it’s a spectacularly good one: it seems all that hype about the original ‘E’ is justified! Vibey, responsive, sophisticated and effortlessly inspiring, this is a great electric piano library. Pros A fundamentally very attractive, warm and open tone quality. Simultaneously precise, in sound and implementation, yet full of character. Excellent tremolo and chorus. Plenty of possibilities for more creative tone shaping. Cons Delayed‑effect parameter tweaks take a little getting used to. Summary One of the best, if not the best, sampled Rhodes pianos currently available.“

  2. Agreed, it's a clear winner and I have several good ones, too. This will replace them in most, if not all use cases. And I have owned a Fender Rhodes (forget which model) and played many a suitcase model one during my younger playing days in Chicago.

  3. I remember this thread. Only place I've ever been banned was from a Kmart when I was 13 for stealing a machete. Kvr ban is weak. Do better.

  4. I just sent this to KVR DIRECTLY... I just got this message from KVR: You have been permanently banned from this board. Please contact the Board Administrator for more information. Reason given for ban: I can't believe that you are not a dealer... I think it's time to end this abuse of the Sell & Buy forum. I have NEVER been a DEALER of ANY kind. THIS is WHY you don't make "forum members" Administrators!!! They make "judgement calls" based on their "personal assumptions" and their own "Biases"!!! I am NOT, nor have I EVER been a "Dealer" of ANY kind!!! I've been a member of this forum for YEARS!!! Also a member of several OTHER forums. I have NEVER abused your forum, but apparently you have "Administators" who believe that they have the RIGHT to "ban" members based on their OWN biases and personal assumptions! I have followed the rules of the forum, and 100% positive feedback in the Feedback Forum for my posts, and sales, which are NOT from a "Dealer", and I should NOT be punished, and banned, based on your Administrators "assumptions" of "I can't believe you're not a dealer", and THIS administrator should either be DISCIPLINED or REMOVED from their position for ABUSE OF AUTHORITY, banning someone based on their "Assumptions" Sincerely, Larry W. 5. Sounds like it's a library that's going to want you to use the batch resave feature in Kontakt. If anyone else doesn't know what that is, I've recently discovered it's well worth giving it a go! It's a function that re-saves the files in what must be Kontakt 6 format (it warns that you lose compatibility with older versions) which makes for faster loading times. If you have a library that sits unresponsive for a minute after you click on it, this can solve that. Makes a huge difference with Pearl Concert Grand Piano for example, so the UI appears in about two seconds (I have it installed on an 8 gig HDD, not a speedy SSD).

  6. I suggest to take heed as iZotope is on a slippery slope with subscription privileges and the like. Bought by the company behind Native Instruments so a merger seems likely, maybe even in Komplete 14.

  7. I absolutely recommend you Ozone Standard (I mena you refer to that product), or any Standard version of iZotope products over the Elements versions. Standard versions are a huge step forward. Elements is more focused in users needing a very simple and straightforward tool (similar to Toontrack EZMix). If you are not that kind of user then standard or advance are the versions for you.

  11. The new amps are actually pretty decent. However there are only 3 of them. One is a Friedman, one is a 57 Fender-ish, the other is a super clean solid state bass amp. They also redid the available impulses, which make some of the old amps sound better. They did not update any of the old distortion pedals beyond cosmetics. As far as effects go, they added in nearly all of their studio effects. You get the mod pack, the crush pack, a version of Replika, the softube reverbs and compressors, the solid series, Driver, SuperCharger, Raum, Replika Shimmer, and a new Doppel Filter. They claim that their new machine learning based amp technology will allow them to deliver new components at a rapid pace. However, we haven't seen any new amps or distortion pedal components since release. If you were one of the people who said "I use Amplitube for guitars, Guitar Rig for FX", Guitar Rig 6 might move the needle but it won't replace Amplitube.

  12. This question has come up a few times so I I am sharing some info I got from Celemony. This primarily applies to SONAR users who are now using Cakewalk by BandLab. As part of SONAR Platinum users got a license of Melodyne 4 Essential. (If you are a new Cakewalk by BandLab user you are offered the trial version of Melodyne) Melodyne 5 has many advantages over Melodyne 4, including ARA 2 integration and workflow improvements. As far as Melodyne 5 Essential goes the biggest advantage is that unlike version 4, it supports polyphonic pitch to MIDI out of the box. In version 4 you had to purchase Melodyne Editor to get this. To get your free Melodyne essential update to Melodyne version 5. a. Login to your Celemony user account and find Melodyne 4 Essential b. Click License Options c. Click the Download button for your free update. d. Install Melodyne That should be it. If you have any issues transferring your license contact Celemony support.

  13. My best EDM type track ive done to date i think and it passed the mountain bike test i.e riding through the countryside with headphones on in sun haha. I'm really happy with my base playing and drums on this one. The song builds up, subtle flowing uplifting vibe. I do repeat the lyrics, its that type of vibe "keep it easy" and dance vocal FX. Addictive Drums Black velvet through modulation and phase filters in places. Then i sample the 808 and pop kit for for main kick and snare. Mostly done on KeyZone classic, Surge and Synth Master free bundles with tweaking Audio FX. Video just something i bang together to share my music.

  14. I realize this request is for a rather narrow feature with a view that not many folks use, namely the Staff View. But I make heavy use of CW's Staff View, and it is the primary reason why I have stuck with CW for over 20 years. As clunky as it is, it is infinitely better than having no Staff View. This has long been a pet peeve of mine, CW's errors at enharmonic spelling. Most recently having to replace well over 100 Db's with C#'s. It would be nice if CW were smart enough to realize that, when no key signature is specified, aka key of C, chords, like D major7 should be spelled with a C# and not a Db. Scale passages such as E D Db B, etc., are also suspect. So, anyway, my wish to be included in this wishlist is for CW to have a global search and replace of note names, and possibly durations and velocities as well. But most important is the ability to do a global search and replace of note names. It would probably be best to have this feature include a "confirm" button, for those rare instances when CWs enharmonic spelling is correct. I realize all this will do will make the Staff View look correct, and doesn't change the structure of the music. But it's nice to have this capability for those times when a score needs to be printed, or when sight reading through the piece.

  20. Here's a video from one of the earliest animated TV series to utilize an entire MIDI-based score, composed and produced in 1988. Synchronizing the music to the animated band was very complicated. At the time I was using a Roland TR-909 drum machine and every drum stroke, keyboard and guitar lick had to be matched to picture. My, hasn't our medium evolved in terms of DAWs, sample libraries and sound quality... PLAY Jerry www.jerrygerber.com

  25. Hey guys, Thanks for the feedback thus far. @Mark Marshall Welcome to the forum . Good observation about needing to box it in more for vocals. I unboxed it when changing it to an instrumental. It was just boring without the vocals , thus the extra bridges and guitar stuff. @Wookiee Any positive feedback relating to "anything" from a keyboard from You is a big plus for me. To @David Sprouseand @Bert Guyand @DeeringAmps Thanks for the compliments. Don't work too hard Tom , you've been pretty quiet lately. Thanks .. mark

  35. You need to unfreeze the track to get access to the MIDI without splitting the Instrument track. Even if you split the track to separate MIDI and Synth audio tracks, you still need to unfreeze in order to re-enable the synth and re-render the modified MIDI, so you might as well unfreeze. .

  39. If you go to the IK Website and log into your User Area, a Pop Up will ask if you want to Redeem the Art Deco Piano. After that when you open the Product Manager it should be there already authorized. That was my experience. It is a nice piano for a freebie, and thanks for posting the IRL pic, that looks really nice. I am going to try and feature it on the livestream Thursday.

  43. Very true...and very sad. Buying a plugin should be the same as buying a piece of hardware. Once you don't need it, or go out of business, you should be able to sell it without paying the company a "fee". While it's true that it's only a "license", that license is YOURS! It's like paying the company TWICE....once for the privilege of using it, and once for the privilege of NOT using it.

Bunch of fuddy duddies. I can't understand any sort of reasoning for why someone would be banned from posting deals in the deals area of a forum.??? I appreciate what you do.
