We're pleased to announce Early Access for 2021.06 Update 2! This release fixes a few reported issues from the main 2021.06 release and adds some improvements. We'd love for you to check it out before we drop the official public version. Please note that Early Access installers are update installers, which only update from a specific version. To install the 2021.06 Update 2 Early Access build, you must be on the latest public release of 2021.04 or newer. Download Cakewalk 2021.06 EA installer Should you need to revert to the initial 2021.06 release, you can download the Cakewalk 2021.06 Rollback installer. If you haven't already done so, please read about the Early Access Program before participating. Please keep responses specific to problems or comments on this release. Unrelated bugs or feature requests should be posted in other threads or the feature request channel. Thanks again for your participation! The Bakers 2021.06 Highlights "Modern Standby" support and improved Power Management Added support for "Modern Standby" a new power management feature introduced in Windows 10 build 2004. Modern Standby mode is supported by some PC's (typically modern laptops). Modern standby is different from the traditional sleep modes and has to be specially handled by the application in order to suspend and resume hardware properly. Improved handling for resuming from a sleep state in Windows. Cakewalk will additionally reload the driver if necessary, if the driver requests a restart or it stops responding. Suspend and resume are properly handled when a dialog box is open. Handle VST instruments that change output counts If a VST instrument changes its output count, ports in projects previously saved with the instrument could become offset by the change in outputs. This could cause projects to stop playing through other virtual instruments until their instrument track inputs were reassigned. Cakewalk will now detect change in outputs on opening a project and automatically reassign ports appropriately with no user intervention required. Bug fixes Fixed crash when exporting single track with "-" in track name and filename Wedge Force Matcha plugin hangs on changing presets in 2021.06 release Projects saved with older versions of Omnisphere open with input ports assigned to incorrect instruments Space bar does not start playback when using Vienna Ensemble Pro Shift + Right Click toggle for Inline PRV causes unexpected lasso selection New projects flagged as modified in 2021.06 Extra Synth Instances inserted when adding all synth audio outputs for Split Instrument Track F2 to rename arranger section immediately after drag draw Alt + T in TV View Menu cut off slightly6 points

a tune off the new album. cool stuff: no amps were used, all guitars and bass tracks were done using a Strymon Iridium modeler direct. i've never done that before, so it was a great chance to see what i could get.3 points

DXi’s are still supported by Cakewalk. TTS1 is a legacy product that is no longer maintained by roland so we don’t have the means to update it or fix problems.3 points

Hi all, hope you're all surviving this COVID nonsense. Here's my latest work in progress, hope you like it. Comments welcome as always. My best EDM type track ive done to date i think and it passed the mountain bike test i.e riding through the countryside with headphones on in sun haha. I'm really happy with my base playing and drums on this one. The song builds up, subtle flowing uplifting vibe. I do repeat the lyrics, its that type of vibe "keep it easy" and dance vocal FX. Addictive Drums Black velvet through modulation and phase filters in places. Then i sample the 808 and pop kit for for main kick and snare. Mostly done on KeyZone classic, Surge and Synth Master free bundles with tweaking Audio FX. Video just something i bang together to share my music.2 points

Modeling the drums was piece of cake. The team has been struggling to model up and down arrows as it has proven extremely technically difficult. The physics behind the modeling are so extreme they have a whole team of phd’s going up and down elevators trying to understand what happens when you press up and then down.2 points

An 8 gig HDD? 1995 is calling and wants its hard drive back. I am assuming that is a typo. The Pearl requires 12GB minimum.2 points

Man alive.!! I finally got this thing to work. What I think was happening was, the password in authorization manager was out of sync with the password on IKM site login and the product manager. The password reset in authorization manager does not generate an email to change your password. So I fixed it by changing the password on the IKM site.. and then using that password when launching authorization manager. Tried it out this morning. Its cool.. sounds like a SampleTank piano.. 🙂2 points

Thanks, Gentlemen!! That fixed the problem. I ended up having to use WASAPI Shared, because WASAPI Exclusive created a crazy buzzing sound regardless of what instrument I tried. But things appear to be working fine with Shared. I appreciate the help!2 points

I think this is also the problem I am seeing, there is a bump in resources required for KU13, mind you, I am still on a 3rd generation i5 with 8gig of ram. At last, I finally have a solid reason to upgrade the CPU, RAM and motherboard. The first time I ran Kontrol, it took nearly 25 minutes to load all the previews and scan the libraries etc before I was able to use it. I like Guitar Rig 6 and am converting all my projects over to it from GR5. The interface is a lot easier to use with bigger knobs and sliders, the presets and general sound sound better out of the box, especially the bass amp presets. I've never been a fan of Amplitube, I've tried it a number of times but don't like the interface and the shop business. I use S-gear mainly, I haven't done any direct comparisons with the GR6 amps against S-gear yet but I use GR5/6 FX with S-gear anyway so will look at that. It's good to have it, I spend less time fiddling than I did with GR5. The interface is more inspiring for me.2 points

Sorry, not a pun but I saw this on Reddit and it was just too funny not to share. It's amazing how music can take you to another place. I was in a café, they put on BTS. Now I am in a different café.2 points

The Unfinished releases Lazarus series 3 & 4 for Zebra/Dark Zebra >The Unfinished is one of my favorite patch developers >Subscribe to newsletter and get an introductory 25% discount on new releases (including this one) > https://www.theunfinished.co.uk/newsletter/ The Lazarus series was primarily inspired by the scores to the Deus Ex and Mirror's Edge games, but also Quantum Break, The Division and Mass Effect. It's futuristic, it's synthetic, it's sci-fi. Volumes 3 and 4 bring more of the pulsing sequences, tight basses, silky pads, kinetic synths and detailed loops; taking modern, electronic sounds and giving them a cinematic edge. As well as providing a backdrop to exotic, cyberpunk worlds and dramatic, dystopian action, the Lazarus series can provide subtle synthetic flavours for intimate modern underscore, epic trailer cues and vibrant electronic tracks. Both Vol 3 and Vol 4 are available for £24.99 +VAT, with the Dark Editions coming at £34.99 +VAT. For a limited period there will also be a Vol 3&4 Bundle for £49.99 +VAT, and even a Lazarus Bundle containing all four volumes for £99.99 +VAT. As per usual, as a Newsletter subscriber, you can get 25% off any of the versions mentioned above, the code will run out on 30th July.1 point

You wanted a faster way to find plugins..Cakewalk already gave you one, and I merely showed you the quickest way to use it. Whether you choose to incorporate that workflow or not is up to you but it might help another user that comes across this post1 point

Wow - fast and efficient!! Thanks Noel. Yes, it's working just fine! I opened an old project and there were not mismatched audio input assignment on Omnisphere. About: "I'm confused by the statement that inputs and outputs were mismatched. Are you referring to the outputs to buses from tracks? Those should have been unchanged. Anyway let me know how it works in this release." - : You are right. The problem only affects the audio inputs on the Omnisphere audio tracks. Thanks again! --- UPDATE: I already checked with Stylus RMX and Trilian, the other two Spectrasonics products that were updated along with Omnisphere, and they are working fine too. Fantastic!1 point

When I went to buy a new car there was a line in the paperwork that made it so the deal fell through. But I guess there's no point in losing sleep over a lost clause.1 point

Sounds like it's a library that's going to want you to use the batch resave feature in Kontakt. If anyone else doesn't know what that is, I've recently discovered it's well worth giving it a go! It's a function that re-saves the files in what must be Kontakt 6 format (it warns that you lose compatibility with older versions) which makes for faster loading times. If you have a library that sits unresponsive for a minute after you click on it, this can solve that. Makes a huge difference with Pearl Concert Grand Piano for example, so the UI appears in about two seconds (I have it installed on an 8 gig HDD, not a speedy SSD).1 point

Not really...31st July is a Sat, 1st Aug is a Sunday and from my experience, nobody is usually in attendance at PIB on a weekend.1 point

Oh, I know I have Kontakt something-or-other. But as I haven't ponied up any money, I suspect it's not Full. Right now I have a random crashing problem. I'll be back on this less pressing problem shortly. Thank you, all.1 point

SampleTank 4 MAX has some great brass, including French Horn with articulations! However, it's neither free or cheap! 😉 The Kontakt Factory Selection (Player) and the full Kontakt Factory Library has a muted trumpet.1 point

I had the free Arturia Lab "Lite" in my Arturia account (also own Pigments 3). My Arturia account offer for Lab V was $34.33, so I fed the GAS monster.1 point

+1 Great request, I would also like this! A visual waveform display in the Browser would help a lot when planning where to place oneshot samples and it would help understand the composition of loops as well. Update: Maybe you should add the words "waveform display" or something to the thread title?1 point
