  1. Somebody get a hold of Fleer. The old Cakewalk vibe is back. We have a full on, chaos soaked feeding frenzy. There were incidents and accidents. There were hints and allegations. Why do I want to listen to Paul Simon so bad? I feel so young!

  7. Well, considering the software is free, I don't think it's cool to demand anything of Cakewalk/Bandlab. We should be thanking them every day for it. But it's fine to ask for things, and give them feedback. It works fine for me, not perfectly, but then it wasn't designed with me, specifically, in mind. If you take the time to learn how to use it (yes, it does take time and a lot of hard work), it will work fine for you too.

  10. This is crazy that it’s a free upgrade from what was a freebie a few months back. Really excellent channel strip

  11. $29 at Time + Space too. Even cheaper if you have some reward points. Good price either way.

  12. I only brought Reaper up because I saw ironic humor in an earlier post that perhaps implied that Reaper might be easier to learn than Cakewalk. But I am sure there are many folks happily using either one!

  14. You may want to consider editting the original post to something like "[Solved for now] Help with Focusrite 18i8" Otherwise this thread will get SB comments till the cows come home... at that point GirlDairy's thread will come back to life.

  18. So where is this 80-proof guitar? I only see an image of a 64-proof guitar, with an 80-proof headstock. 🙄 (Did you forget to proof-read your picture?😀)

  23. I think the moral to the story here is, don't ask Dell for advice on pro-grade audio interfaces!

  24. Thank you all for your suggestions and assistance!!! After using some of the items you posted and some help from support@cakewalk.com, we were able to get the registration completed. Got amazing support from them [and you guys]! - Definitely the case considering the company does not exist any longer... But, thank you again for all the consideration!

  25. Here's a capture of SPAN well into the song:- Personally, I get rid of anything below 40Hz and anything above 14kHz (because hearing test I had some years ago showed that I can't hear anything above that frequency anyway). But, overall, I think this shows that the mix is at least in the right ball park, notwithstanding the comments above.

  26. Give Sweetwater a call and speak to a sales engineer there regarding your needs and issues. See what they recommend for you, as they surely know more about pro audio than Dell does.

  27. I shall raise the jocular pedantry stakes and say that he indeed does still need it, only now he is fortunate enough to have it. As are all users of Cakewalk!

  28. Tip for those who want to have their newly downloaded Cakewalk Reference Guide but a menu click away: I added a link to the Utilities menu in my installation that launches the Guide using @scook's ToolsEditor utility. The utility has far more uses than just launching a PDF, but it does that without even breathing hard. To find out how to add the new Reference Guide to your Utilities Menu go here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Adding-programs-to-the-SONAR-Utilities-Menu-a-new-tool-Updated-for-CbB-m3237117.aspx
