  7. Ample Sound has released the Bridge library for Ample Guitar SC, and has updated the AGSC to version 3.3. The Bridge library is sampled from a Fender Stratocaster 50th Anniversary electric guitar with a 2 GB sample library. The same as the other 3 libraries in the AGSC, The Bridge library includes: Sustain, Hammer On & Pull Off, Legato Slide, Slide in & out, Palm Mute, Pop, Natural Harmonic, Pinch Harmonic 8 articulations. The AGSC v3.3 update: New presets of the Bridge pickup. New keyboard skin – Dark Keys. Improved IR related algorithm with higher efficiency of Cabinets and Reverb. Updated the old standalone host (ASHost) to the Rectangles. Fixed VST3 parameter issue in some DAWs. Fixed some bugs that caused crashes in Riffer and Strummer. Fixed a problem that caused the Uninstaller unable to run on latest versions of MacOS. The bridge library and v3.3 update are free for the AGSC users. Users need to re-download and reinstall the AGSC v3.3 instrument installer and new 9.9GB sample library installer through the MyAmpleSound webpage. 8. I suppose I could pick up bx_oberhausen and Thorn "just because". If I use my monthly voucher that would make the total $24.99 + VAT. Not bad for two synths, I think.

  13. Sorry for a long post! I think there's an opportunity to leverage the great work made on the arranger track, to create a fantastic live performance tool. I've been trialling it out, and all the component pieces are there, it just needs a bit of glue / enhancement to make it a really workable option Here's an example project being used for my 80s (ish) cover band, which uses backing / click tracks extensively: Basically, I use the arranger track to create sections for each song, then use track folders to contain my audio backing tracks, Midi data to control outboard gear, Midi control of DMX etc. I then create a track folder for each song, which contains the virtual instruments used to perform the song controlled from my master keyboards. It works surprisingly well! I can re-arrange the set list before any gig using the arrangements functionality During the gig, I can jump to any track I want by clicking on it - it cues it up instantly I use a workspace to remove any GUI components not needed I use Mix recall to move between live and playback scenes The Live scene plays the project, and allows recording on any track that's armed The Playback scene plays back audio, and sends recorded midi data to the vsts After rehearsal, I can adjust the mix, effects, instrumentation etc in context of other band members performance At a gig (hopefully soon!) it makes it easy to do a virtual soundcheck Importantly, (which could be a big USP for cakewalk), I can view notation, chords and lyrics via the staff view during the performance - perfect! Once you've had the ability to glance over and see notation / lead sheets synced up perfectly with the backing track you really don't want to go back... To bring this all together and make it easier to use I'm thinking of perhaps a new project file format (.cwl - cakewalk live), which when opened changes the behaviour of the arranger track to make it more suitable to live performance. It could also be achieved by a toggle switch on the arranger menu, which could be simpler for the bakers I guess? There's a lot of options that could be included in the set-list version of the arranger window - I'm sure others have ideas, but my initial thoughts would be 1. Add a separate right click context menu to each song in the set list, along the lines of: With this context menu you could define some additional properties for the song The Play mode, which determines what happens when the playhead reaches the end of the song Continue, pause at end of song, loop song The tempo and key of the song Yes, I know you can insert tempo and key changes in the timeline, but would be a nice to have to be able to set this on a song basis! 2. When creating a song section, a linked track folder is created with the same name as the song section The linked track folder is only displayed when the song is selected Any virtual instruments within the track folder are bypassed (muted), unless the playhead is within the song This would tidy up the project view and make it easier to manage, and avoid the current situation of having to draw automation to mute each virtual instrument outside of the song it's used for I have a bunch of other ideas, but this post is long enough already.. If there's any interest I can add more 😁 Cheers, Matt

New Effects Distortion > Ratatouille Dist (Mono, Stereo), based on* the 1984 Pro Co RAT. Turns out our Vermin Dist model was broken. Sorry! We were going to replace it completely but a bunch of people had presets with the old version. On top of that, we found out our RAT's LM308 chip had crapped out since we modeled it last so we decided to get it into perfect working order and start from scratch Modulation > Retro Reel (Mono), Line 6 Original effect that simulates playing a signal back from an analog tape machine. This signal can be distorted, filtered to sound older or more lo-fi, and modulated with wow and flutter. Delay > Euclidean Delay (Mono, Stereo), Line 6 Original delay based on Euclidean algorithms. Creates multitap patterns by setting the length of the pattern (Steps) and the number of taps (Fill) in the pattern. The Euclidean algorithm spaces taps as evenly as possible throughout the pattern, resulting in rhythms from traditional to highly complex. Settle in because this one'll require diagrams and charts and whatnot. 15. I own Melda MMultiAnalyser that seems to have a fair bit of overlap to this. Curious how it performs as the price point is considerably less, and they also fit in the camp of treating customers well without crippiling authorization methods or limitations.

  18. BTW...I neglected to say that this is probably the worst intro offer ever...right up there with some of IK's shenanigans... You buy a thousand dollar orchestra, and they want $500 for an upgrade (almost the same as buying the FULL package) that really should be moderately priced (and FREE would be even better) - especially considering how many are technically "Covid Unemployed"! Consider that HO Diamond is $699 and Opus is $799....shouldn't the upgrade price be like $100? Opus, being the new "Player" should also be free... (and most likely will be in a few months, just like Player 6 was!)

  20. I was a Kitcore user, Drumcore replaced the old 32 bit plugin. I have never got multi outs to work in either Cakewalk or Studio One for different reasons. Those kits are pretty long in the tooth now. The MIDI is very good but in a proprietary format and not as extensive as one has come to expect from the leading players. The main interest for most would be the audio loops, not something I use but they sound pretty good.

  23. OK , I'm calling this one done and moving on. @noynekkerThanks for the extra time evaluating this one. You must have a better car stereo than I do. I wasn't very impressed with mine. @emeraldsoulThanks for getting picky. I found a low piano part conflicting with the nylon guitar in the intro. I corrected it but probably won't repost . 24. I got my $199 Voucher for my Mix & Master Bundle for one year, which is actually more than I paid ($14.99 x 12 = $179.88). I have now cancelled my subscription. I'll probably hold that voucher until the next Mega Sale and buy only what I'll use.

  25. As mentioned by @michheld in an earlier post they seem the same except CA2A having a VST-interface and a sidechain option. On the CA-2A there's a button to bring up options, on the PC2A you have to right click on the module.

For the people who BFD(1) and or BFD2, and are have trouble getting that content to show up under BFD3.4, Drew had this to say . . . https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=543822&start=333 I miss out again as I already own these, purchased ages ago so as I didn't have to install BFD(1) OR BFD(2), anyway there you have it.

  29. Yes, adding lyrics in staff view is the way to do that, but you have to have the melody notated to do so. If you add lyrics to a melody and export a midi file, the lyrics will transfer with it. One trick I use...type lyrics out in a word processing doc. Use the "snipping" app available in Windows to take a snap shot and save as a .gif or .jpg file. Load this into CW by importing a video (you tell CW to look for all files not just video). You will have a window that shows your lyrics, although they wont follow the music. If I need lyrics to follow the music, use the "snipping" tool to create a line or two at a time and create a movie in any simple video editing program. Render a .avi file and load that into CW. I do this a lot. You do it once and becomes very easy and fast.

  32. Yeah, I'm not sure they ever got the mutli-outs to work in Cakewalk. It is another add on pack, but the Billy Martin expansion remains my favorite kit out of any drum software. I just love the sound of his kit and the recording is clearly of his actual kit. All depends on what you are looking for, but some of the kits in there I think are way better than the standard generic affair we get with all the other packs. There is something to be said about a legit drummers that spent decades getting a matched yet unique sound. So many of the kits in other programs sound like someone walked into guitar center and started playing the generic kit that works on most things, but has little personality. I think DrumCore is great to getting outside of that sound. THe loops do sound good, but I personally wish there was a better system to not download those. They just take up a ton of un-necessary space for me, as I generally use something like Jamstix to drive the kits...and if not, I want the freedom of midi to adjust the grooves....the loops end up serving no purpose as I don't want the regitiy of them and I'm not a slice and dicer that would put them in a sampler to mix them up....that to me seems like the point of using MIDI in the first place.

  41. Thanks Noel - Honestly, I'm not sure that the problem is fully related to this EA version... Since I upgraded to the EA, I've had like 3 crashes when the audio transforms into noise, like a audio loop at a very very high speed. Usually it happens when editing audio clips in a take lane (selecting clips, editing lenghts and that sort of things) So, I'll keep working and see if a pattern emerges and will share the corresponding file. In the meanwhile, I did revert to the latest official release, because I'm in the middle of a project.

  45. Beautiful vocals and guitar work, lazy chilled and kinda sexy, reminds me of Kenny Rogers for some reason. I think you love acoustic guitars as you get great tone from them without buzz etc great skill. Man i always get excited listening to peoples vibes on here and always makes me want to write another song, which i now will start thinking about today after just finishing one last weekend haha Cheers for inspiring me

  46. I don't know where to start. Vocal performance excellent, super emotive and interesting. Snare was excellent, just a perfect tone. Laid-back yet driving groove, really excellent. the mixture of guitars. excellent indeed. The song? Excellent. so if I'm really picking the nits on the nits . . . the initial groove was hard to catch in the first three seconds, something wasn't lining up maybe? And the acoustic/nylonish guitar on the right? in the intro, could use maybe a bit more short reverb? It sounds a tad dry and almost like the sustain has been cut off intentionally? sheesh that was really excellent - great song and great skills. cheers, -Tom
