  3. Downloaded and tried it. It sounds truly excellent lol. It does use a fair bit of CPU. It's neural/sampling tech, similar to Acustica. But I never heard an Acustica compressor that sounds as good as this one.

  4. Hi there nice forum folk I've been awol recently and I apologise for that. I've had a bit of a lean period creatively. Here's a new song that I wrote - it is intentionally a bit of a retro thing and never meant to be too deep. Lyrics are below the link - nits and crits ok. Middle of Alright Written and recorded by Staypress V1 Blondie's on the radio Singing bout a girl I know Waking painful memories I expected the worst and it was worse than I expected V2 When i walked into the room no atmosphere just like the moon Predictably I crashed and burned I expected the worst and it was worse than I expected Chorus I'm gonna make my case so tight There's a nut in every bite In the Middle of the night In the Middle of alright V3 I'm trying not to tempt defeat Our love is like a one way street Nowhere but we're getting there I expected the worst and it was worse than I expected Chorus Repeat V1

  5. Yeah the Firechild has a mix of Algo and Impulse response for a pretty authentic sound. Saying that I dont really use it due to latency

  10. It's just a duo, meaning it's only got two cpus on it. But still, it will help anyone who is using a lot of UAD stuff at mixdown. It's being sold by Sam Ash!! So you are assured it will work. I would get it myself, but as you can see in my sig, I got enough UAD processing power. And I don't have another PCIe to slot to put it in. https://reverb.com/item/79734063-universal-audio-uad-2-pcie-dsp-accelator-card-audio-interface-new-york-ny?utm_content=feed_listings&utm_source=braze&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Daily-Feed-Email&utm_term=Feed Email

  11. I bought it - had some credit on PB so was $8 plus I chose UA PolyMAX as freebie. I usually use modeled pianos, Mrs Mills is the only sample based piano I use regularly. This piano was on my short list because so many people on music forums have mentioned they like it. Did you guess I'm not a concert pianist? 😀

  13. I (luckily) got in when they were doing the "lifetime" deals, almost on a "whim." Probably the best purchase I've ever made for my music hobby. A permanent license for all of what is included in Musio today for $199 is no brainer territory.

  14. The first one I played was one of these: It was a lot easier to schlep than a real B3. We were in a group, the keyboard player also played guitar. We learned Psychotic Reaction, and there wasn't a sax part we could force in the song, so he played guitar and I doubled on the organ. At the end there is a 'psychedelic' 2-beat section. I would kick off my boot and play glissandi the organ with my foot. More than once, a gal from the audience commented that I was such a good organ player, that I could play it with my foot. Ah. Show-biz rules. Notes ♫

  16. I tired the neural EQ when it was released for free. It was the most CPU hungry nonsense I'd ever tried. I heard they may have made it more efficient but for me the ship sailed. Haven't seen anything interesting enough for me to try something else yet.

  21. Thanks for mentioning our plug-ins. Fader Hub is actually also available as a plug-in too. Connector is a point to point connection plug-in so it will let you stream to /receive from one other machine (even remotely thru the Internet), while Fader Hub can connect to multiple other machines at the same time to do real time collaboration. When you want to share a session "live" with others, we now have Freeceiver that can be installed freely (no fee) as an app or plug-in on the destination machine, so that listeners do not need to acquire a license for either Connector or Fader Hub. I hope this clarifies. BWT all these tools use a direct peer-to-peer connection, so there is no server in-between.

  26. Running the latest Cakewalk by BandLab app on Windows 11... After activating CW using BandLab app, I was able to select the headphone output from within Cakewalk. Testing with a midi device (after Edit|Prefs|Midi|Input selection) worked great, sounded great, midi interface worked great, all smiles… Now for the full shutdown startup test…. smiles gone, frustration building….. 1) The chosen midi interface midi inputs had to be reselected as they were not saved (even though the project was saved after activation and selected as the project to load after startup) yet now numbered with the same interface name preceded by a 2. So CW thinks there is a previous interface but it is not shown in the Midi device list??? This is now the ghost interface numbered 1. 2) CW does not show ‘not activated’ as it was officially activated or it thinks it is activated... 3) Most importantly and critical to using CW, the headphone jack is disabled! The choices under preferences only lists the ‘realtek’ speakers associated with the laptop. (After the initial activation, Edit|Preferences|Audio showed not only the realtek speakers but the headhpones jack as well) This is no longer the case. No headphone out is even listed. And YES the wasapi shared is and was already chosen, so that is NOT the issue. Further, going out to u-tube via browser and playing some video and the sound IS available thru the headphone jack, no problem. This clearly points to CW disabling the headphone jack even though it is activated. So without another solution that involves a set of steps going thru Edit|Preferences|Audio etc… what is the overall issue? This should have and should be a slam dunk! The docs say activation is good for 6 months, well, CW is still activated (3 hours) but after a full shutdown and start, it fails to allow one to use the headphone jack! So what say you BandLab CW? What are the specific steps or Win API reasons that an activated copy of CW that did fully function with headphones now will not allow or even list the realtek headphones option? yet when going out to use another audio source such as u-tube, the headphone jack works just fine. Also please understand that the BandLap app launches at startup so I am logged in at Win bootup (even though the docs say this is not necessary) I await your dtailed solution…... Thank you.

  36. I have started digging through the Moho forums specifically for things I have been focused on recently (I have backed off scenes and focused on characters), and have been a bit hesitant to blindly mark things as "read" since the whole place isn't that huge and I don't want to miss the golden nuggets strewn along the way. This morning I finally decided to sort them by most replies and the "Sketches" in this OP was a bit of an eye opener for me. Those were done in Moho 12.2, so I need to jack the brakes on and rather than go on "assumption" of what Moho can/cannot do based on the interface, I need to delve into those tools in gory detail to find out what Moho's real limitations are (which seem to be a lot less than I have been assuming). The "Unofficial Papagayo Update" caught me off guard as well. When someone pays a 3rd party to update legacy software and then releases it to the public is almost unheard of. I have actually been using Papagayo to flesh out the phonemes "required" for characters. I didn't even start looking at scripts until last week, and some of the user scripts are just incredibly powerful. More and more I am evaluating new software with the ability to runs macros/scripts as a go/no-go on if I should even consider the application. Software that has no macro/script capability is removing the entire user base from making the application better.

  38. Been using CW with Kontakt forever. Been on 7 since it came out. No issues at all. It's not CW obviously! Just sayin. If it's YOUR system, why would you expect a difference in Sonar? I hope you get it worked out!

  39. Possibly for some people that had the issue, but not for people who didn't. Earlier today I had issues--not disappearing, but a strange, unusually long delay bringing up the keyboard shortcuts dialog that I never had before along with what seems to be UI redrawing glitches.
