  12. For sure! In my case, I have a Macbook M1 Pro. Generally speaking, all plugins works fine. In the case of non-native apple silicon processors, the software runs under an emulator called Rosetta. Imagine using your plugins in windows with a virtual machine. What happens to me? I cannot assign more than 6 or 8 instances of non native plugins. The solution? run everything under Rosetta, in that case there is another incompatibilities and lack of performance. I tried to use brauer method using IK Multimedia compressors: with the previous versions, it was impossible. Now, they're natively compatible and they run smooooooth. In the case of Lindell 50 series, it's one of the plugins you want native, because it is intended to be put in every channel and bus. The reality? Is it not going to be updated anymore. It's not in any list and it seems to be abandonware. Zero problem for windows, zero problem if you run it with Rosetta until you put more and more instances.

  16. I have the Townsends Lab Sphere L2. I think the top mic is just a rebrand for UA. The software seems to be the same.

  17. Looks like the DLX and L22 are pretty much the same. The DLX has a fixed 20 db pad, where the L22 was selectable and the DLX comes with a 25 foot cord vs. 10 foot for L22. This mic is interesting in that it is dual diaphragm so can have a stereo recording from one mic. Good review on tape-op that I can't link to here for some reason.

  18. I'm with you Brian. I never liked the way they structured coupons and discounts so I avoided them mostly - but at the end of the day I bought a lot of plugins and never felt cheated or taken advantage of. Kudos to him for building a successful company (not an easy task) and making a successful exit (also not an easy task). šŸ‘

  22. You know how you'd be running a reverb or delay or something and you have the tails continue when you press stop? Sometimes when you stop the transport and start it again, you'll get a pop of sound from the previous decay play when the track starts. Pretty annoying when you're doing a bounce down and you have this rogue reverb tail start it off. Flushing the plugins empties out the buffers so you don't have any random effects tails turning up. Some plugins hate that though, and will crash, so turning it off will stop that from happening. I haven't had the need to turn mine off with the plugins I personally use, and it's saved me HEAPS of time having to redo bounces because of stray left over tails, so I leave mine always on.

  25. As a general strategy, it might be advisable to use available DAW features to replace VST2 with VST3 where possible, as in the CbB VST preferences. But don't arbitrarily trash VST2 unless there is a good reason, such as Marled mentioned above (as some VST2 plug-ins still use the classic FXP/FXB preset method)...

  26. And hereā€™s me thinking it was just a (guitar) tuner. Anyway, just got Tantra 2 thanks to the generosity of @Technostica

  27. Anyway, sorry to get caught up in the OS fanboy tangent. I use both Mac and windows and have my share of headaches with both. Back to topic. For those who are having trouble picking 4, the crispy tuner is a damn good alternative to autotune. It's superior to Antare's stripped down version and imo also on par with and possibly better than Waves variant.

  33. Hello Cakewalk people New song. Few little issues with it I think, but I spent enough time on it now! Not many people you can trust in this world! EDIT 30/1/23 Ok, after your very enlightening comments, I've remixed the track. Hopefully this one will address the points everyone has mentioned. Let me know if this improves things. Thanks all!

  34. First of all, I can't speak English, so I use google translate. So please forgive me if my English is strange. I created an articulation that adds four main chords to the default chord triads articulation. Is there a demand for it? I also created an articulation that combines the chord triads with the inversion and root note removed and the main 4 chords in one group. The purpose is to have a pseudo function like the chord track installed in other DAW applications. chord_art.zip

  35. From another website I read. I wish I was this smart... LOL Have you stress tested your system? Iā€™d recommend you run these tests for about an hour each. CPU / RAM (Prime95) http://www.mersenne.org/download/ RAM: (Memtest86+) http://www.memtest.org/ GPU: (Furmark) http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ If you experience any issues with these then you have an unstable system, which is probably due to the voltage going to your components. You can change these in your Bios, though you should have optimized defaults that you can try.

  36. Most likely they are. You can do basically a "modeling mic" by using a good, flat responding mic and software like IK's Mic Modeler, or others, and not have to spend $500, $1,000, or more dollars. They'll do a decent job without "breaking the bank" IMO, but hey...what do I know?

I was using caps to get across that its great to see PG on the go with Original new material and an album/tour on the way.

  42. It's all a matter of taste but I'd cut the reverb on the drums and pedal steel, do a high pass and low pass on the drums and what sounds like an accordian on some of its parts. The drums sound a little hot, maybe they aren't. I'd bring the bass up a dB or two. And maybe do some panning adjustments on the pedal steel settings. Just my $.02, great song.

  43. Keep it going. It has some really good aspects to it that are worth pursuing. Specifically, the interplay/choice of notes you have between the instruments. Don't hear too many songs that have the attention grabbing potential this one has. šŸŽ¶šŸŽ¶šŸŽ¶šŸŽ¶

  44. If using onboard audio make sure that you have set the audio driver mode in Cakewalk to WASAPI Shared here: This is the default for windows onboard audio devices and should work for all sample rates even those that the audio interface doesn't directly support because Windows does the sample rate conversion. In WASAPI shared mode the latency is locked at 10 msec but it should be good enough for most use cases.

  45. Yep. I would say that I was one of those that bought their first three albums. I still think those three albums are some of the best RnR ever put out. When Kiss Alive came out, I dropped off somewhat. Then Destroyer came out I was OK with it, but it wasn't the rock I had come to expect from them. Rock And Roll Over was the last album of Kiss I ever bought. And I have only bought it one time. The first three albums I wore out and purchased many times after. Some of the first bands I joined I got them to play stuff off those first three albums. We'd play "Black Diamond" and people would come up after the show and ask did we write that!!! They just didn't know that it was Kiss. Rock Bottom was another one that got the crowd going. The band was real reluctant to play "Kiss" stuff because by that time they were marketing for the kids and they didn't want to be associated with that BS. But once I got them to listen and play stuff off the first three albums, AND they saw the audience reaction, it was no problem to get them to do more from those albums. (we never did "Beth!") That first album just had some of the best raw sound and feeling. Not even mentioning the hooks every song had!!! Hooks for days!! Hotter Than Hell has great songs on it, but it's not as well produced as the first album IMHO. Dressed to Kill had much better songs than " I, wanna rock n roll all night... But that was the one that put them over the top.

  46. Looking at all the pieces of the Seth kit, there are a couple not using TR808 samples. They use some of the Cakewalk=Dlots samples. The sfz's I looked at do not use layers so Sitala is a good choice if one does not want to run Session Drummer.

  47. I am from Japan and have a lot of weeb friends and One Ok Rock is quite well known amongst them I thought. I am not a fan of ONE OK ROCK nor like their songs but they resurrected my favorite Japanese band which had been on long haiatus. Also their favorite bands are my favorite bands too (mostly American bands though) If I remember correctly, one of their albums was mixed by a very famous American (I think) mixing engineer who usually mix ITB and had mixed for top artists, such as Katy Perry. They must have had the greatest production imaginable. No wonder the sound quality was quite good and modern unlike other Japanese bands back then. My favorite Japanese punk band which they made reunited, had their latest album recorded at Sunset Sound in California. I am just sharing this because I am their fan...
