He has a new Ethera Library out today - Elements Cinematic Rhythms - intro price of $63.95, with an additional 20% off if you own an additional Ethera title. https://zero-g.co.uk/products/elements-cinematic-rhythms

  7. Their website and search isn't their greatest either.. some plugins show up in some sections and then missing in others. You can go to Shop->Brands and not see something listed under a brand, but then find it searching another way.. their entire site is a lucky dip! 🤣

  12. The Kronos Editor 3.1 available here is supposed to be able to create .INS files automatically, including any custom patches you've created on your keyboard. I don't have any experience using it, but it might be worth a try. The excerpt below mentions Macintosh software, but the link above is to the Windows version.

  13. Hi everyone Thanks for all your help. Problem solved! Pupils it turns out can navigate to the H: drive which is actually the same as their home drive, but not their usual way of getting there- usually they would use Documents icon but that uses a URL I passed on some of your comments and IT found them useful

  19. I paid $10 for my chair in 1993, and it was at least 10 years old at that time. The wheels aren't quite round anymore, but everything else is fine. Mainly, it does one thing very well: I can lean all the way back, put my feet on the desk and take a nap without fear of it tipping over. What more could you ask for in a chair? It also supports my back well. When I had my back problems, this chair was my only pain-free refuge. I suppose it must have been an expensive chair originally. The office was closing and they just wanted to get rid of everything. I also bought the desk I'm still using, also for ten bucks. It's military gray and made of steel. It has a drawer. It may seem odd that someone who has spent so many thousands of dollars on software, synths, amps, monitors and microphones is content to sit on a $10 chair. But if it doesn't make sound, it's not a priority. I'm using a microwave I bought in 1979. I'd probably still be wearing jeans from the 70's if my belly girth had remained constant.

  20. When it comes to midi I either understand it right away or can never seem to figure it out. I just might be a MIDIdiot. I have tried every possible method I can find in forums and in videos. Nothing is working. I don't even know if I'm in CC Mode. I need help right from the beginning. I've tried Mackie Control, MMcL Mackie Control #1, ACT, Generic surface. My goal is to control volume, expression and vibrato in various Spitfire programs. Some use Kontakt and other use Spitfire's own interface. That is probably not as important as just understanding the very basic step by step procedures. If some people can help me, I would very much appreciate it.

  21. Already finished my first gig for today. Played the state fair, spent my earnings on an overpriced sandwich and came home. Next up: get back into Friday afternoon traffic for a two-hour drive to tonight's gig on Camano Island. Normally, it's 45 minutes, but Friday afternoons it's bumper-to-bumper all the way. Yeh, it's thankless work, bringing culture to the masses. But it's my mission.

  22. Hi Barry Great song - it's catchy and certainly a toe tapper. Love the key modulations too: they keep things sounding fresh.

  23. Barry, Nice track, I think your vocals sound good. Your vocal delivery in this song reminds me a little of Joe Walsh. Didn't hear the earlier versions but this one sounds pretty good. Good luck with your upcoming surgery. One option to side chaining to get your vocals to pop through is Trackspacer. Super easy to implement, put your music on one Bus, vocals on another. Trackspacer will duck everything in the EQ range of your vocals fairly transparently, and only during vocal parts. https://www.wavesfactory.com/audio-plugins/trackspacer/ Is only about $50 or $60 I think. 29. You really need a "real" recording interface unit for recording and recording playback, along with studio monitor speakers. PC sound cards are not very good with latency and along with PC speakers tend to "color" the sound so you don't hear the full recorded sound fidelity.

  30. My first were Flying Haggis from DB Software (still works and I still use it, although 32bit only) Alien Connections Revalver - eventually stopped working after sold to Peavy I think it was and Nomad Factory Rock Amp - never used that one much Waves GTR - that never worked properly and I gave up on Waves a long time ago Amplitube - I sort of gave up on this as well as it always seem to need new bits (purchased) to work! Guitar Rig - occasionally now if I use Amp Sims, I mainly use Kuassa, S Gear, overloud, and a couple of individual Amps from Plugin Alliance. If possible I now try and record off a real amp - not always possible but I prefer it sound wise Nigel

  38. Pickin' 'n' grinnin'? As with any Voxengo plug-in, it sure ain't easy on the eyes. Meldaproduction gets some hate in these parts for its homely UI's, but man, they got nothing on Voxengo.

  43. A company that I used to work for had an office equipment partner that had equipped our office spaces primarily with Steelcase chairs for years. They were solid workhorses that were ergonomically adjustable for desktop computer users. But one day, the Herman Miller Aeron chairs began appearing in select conference rooms. Funnily enough, many of those chairs got "borrowed" and ended up in some team members cubes. At one point eventually, there were enough Aeron chairs nearby that you could grab one if you wanted to. So I jumped aboard! For some reason, I never could get that darn thing set the way I liked it. So back to Steelcase for me! I guess that it's like buying shoes. They just need to fit.
