Steinberg have issued an update on their licensing news page December 15, 2021: Updated licensing terms on “Online Activation”: Based on the feedback we received from our customers, we have decided to make changes to our initial concept. First, instead of reconnecting to the internet within 30 days, once your software has been activated on your computer, it won’t need to contact our Steinberg Licensing server again for the purposes of activation. Second, we have decided to increase the maximum number of activations from two to three computers per single-user license.15 points

Feature Request: Color Coded Markers It would be nice to be able to have markers in different colors. The labels are hard to see and color coding them would make it easier to identify at a glance where you are.5 points

After getting my free Analog Orchestra sound pack I noticed that AAS was offering an upgrade to Chromaphone 3, String Studio VS-3 and Ultra Analog VA-3 (from version 2) and this also included Multiphonics CV-1 (which I never owned before) all for just $34! So I bought it. Here's a company that genuinely put musicians first rather than just using those words as part of their logo.4 points

There are a lot of suprisingly good ones in here and some letdowns. One thing that's a little surprising though is the usefulness of some of the rhythmic sounds near the end of the bank. They are a fun little surprise you probably shouldn't expect from a collection like this.4 points

Absconded with this as my Christmas Freebie! Very nice. I find the vibrato pretty heavy handed for my taste- I would not be too happy with this if I only had the free AAS Player. With full Ultra Analog 3 though, it is easy to tame the vibrato - so far the patches I have tried have it on the fist voice LFO, adjusting the VCA Gain, delay, and fade parameters.4 points

Recently I've had a very annoying IK Multimedia support case. First it took 14 days until they reacted. Then they played support games with me several times, i.e. they asked for information I already had given them or that stood even in the last reply! But that happens often with those big company's support teams, that they really don't read what you have written! They just want to keep you busy! In the end they wanted me to install their product manager and this product(s) on my online computer to copy the installer downloads to my offline computer! I don't want all this bloatware on my lap just to install it on my offline studio! More and more I dislike those dinosaur companies (in respect to size and that they are outdated): Slow and resource eating products (I noticed this especially the last 5 years, I want to mention plugin shells and Custom Shops specifically) Bloating installations (installers ..., or like the IK Custom Shops, you have to install everything even if you just need a tiny bit of it. This results also in a lot of needless updates). Cumbersome authorization and policies Abysmal support (time, muck around with you) Nontransparent updates, i.e. you often update with no win Bad or no update/upgrade pathes ...3 points

I'm glad I got this synth. It is just that I don't have the time to play with all these wonderful synths. I do for a while and then life gets in the way and my old brain doesn't remember how to use the synth(s) again Oh well I have to look on the bright side if this was a hardware synth I never ever would of been able to afford it. Carry on boys and girls3 points

The Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd I absolutely love Clare Torry's improvised vocals on this song. At the time I wanted to transcribe it and play it on saxophone, but the rest of the band I was in didn't want to do it.3 points

Man.. Pigments investment has paid itself off. I picked it up in the intro sale and it has been patched and updated so many times. Bravo Arturia. !!3 points

I picked up their Orchestral Bundle a while back - you can still get it in the APD Shop using rewards to get the base price. Pretty nice content and the Bravura Scoring Brass Chords & FX can be upgraded to the full version. I also picked up Celestia (most likely a recommendation from Fleer) and it's also excellent.3 points

I also kicked this CPU issue up directly. Also, I pushed (again) that clicking the price doesn't always make sense when a product's Buy Now drops you to the "Versions" page or similar. Did I say "again"? Yeah, I've been pushing this one for a bit now.3 points

To be fair to IKM, I had rather low expectations for their Hammond emu and it turned out to be my absolute favorite faux-B3. But that one doesn't fit the premise of this thread, because I loved it from Day 1.2 points

Hate on them all you want but that last group by was pretty epic. The support cases I had with them were usually related to free give aways not showing up, was surprised support responding within a couple hours on the day of the give away no less. Massive installs when you don't own much is very annoying. Group Buy helped me ease that pain, but understand the frustration.2 points

This is the one that drives me crazy. I recently ran and update in Amplitube 5 and ended up with a ton of stuff I didn't want on my HD. C'mon IK, stop doing this.2 points

And I should add that I bought the Bundle I mentioned above years ago rather than buying the products individually. Maybe my pricing was based on that purchase history. IDK. Also, I did notice that my upgrade price for each of the individual synths (Chromaphone 3, String Studio VS-3 and Ultra Analog VA-3) was $39 each. So obviously I chose the Bundle which was less than each of the synths alone. Hope that helps...2 points

To be clear, the upgrade I did was the Professional Series Bundle. I previously owned everything in that bundle (all 7 products) except for Multiphonics CV-1. Is that true for both of you as well?2 points

A few questions about the gift cards: Can you buy multiple at once? Can you spend multiple at once? Do they expire? Can you spend them over multiple purchases? e.g. If I have a £25 card and I buy something for £20, do I still have £5 to use on the next order; or does it disappear? Any clarification would be much appreciated @Time+Space2 points

Richard, yes, it is possible to do what you want. Just configure properly your project metronome, and make sure your CW metronome is routed to a bus. See image. In this setup, you can record anywhere in your timeline, and get a countdown that sounds only before the actual recording starts, and then go silent. Hope this is what you are trying to do!2 points
