  1. The Clash - Remote Control Trivia: So peeved were Strummer, Jones and co that ^^^^ this album track had been released as a single without their approval, they wrote and recorded this (single) by way of an 'up yours' to the record company: The Clash - Complete Control

  4. Considering the power of Amplitube 5, they are seriously missing an opportunity not releasing preset series targeting stuff like EDM or sound design or non bass / guitar instruments. A5 is an amazing sound design plugin - so much potential to show it off in other ways than Rock. I've used it on synths, vocals, sound scape shit, strings, speaker emulations for post. But rarely ever use presets, because they are quite limited in genre scope.

  7. I updated my original SONAR Platinum theme called Tuncury (a blue highlight Tungsten w/ Mercury style buttons) to CbB. It was a pretty quick pass through the theme and there may be some things I missed or did not get the shade just right. If so, let me know. The theme may be found on my google page along with Tuncury Light Green (the theme I use). Also planning to update Mercury Light Green soon. I will try to keep it current but since it is not my everyday theme there are no guarantees. edit: updated for 2020.04 edit: updated for 2021.01 edit: updated for 2021.04 edit: updated for 2021.04 Update 1 edit: updated for 2021.12

  9. Tone 2 seem to have a knack of making nice synths with nice UI's that sound good for at least twice as much money as might seem tempting. Or is that just me?

  12. Michael check this out : You select a chord preset you have 4 zones (from left to right ) 3 are actually populated , zone 2 is unused so i moved its zone all the way right , ain't gonna be used Zone 1 aka Chords A alows you to actually selected a chord (a chord preset is actually a set of chord !!) Zone 2 aka Picks A let's you play individual note of those chord , you can play note by note (good for melodies while being ion scale ) or simeply replay a chord withing the chords set (if you have for exemple a 1/3/5 chord you can play 1/5 or 3/5 without having to mess around) Zone 3 aka Picks B is the strums !!!

  18. The 1st 4 episodes cover the original version. Basics. For v2, the sample and granular update see episode 5. The v3 stuff begins in episode 6, where they go beyond just wavetable & analog (v1), sample and granular (v2), and add the harmonic and utility noise / sub osc (v3), as well as new filters and FX.

  20. Not sure where you get this from - Ctrl-D in Word, for example, selects the Font dialog! In Excel, it does some funky duplication. And in File Explorer, it does Delete, So definitely not an MS-Windows standard by any stretch of the imagination.

  21. You’d be surprised how many DAWs use Ctrl+D as a shortcut for Duplicate. CbB is just one of them.

  23. One day my wife decided she wanted a fancy drinking bottle. A fancy metallic drinking bottle. Of course it needed to be sampled. The Bottle was hit with rubber and felt mallets. I recorded three variants of it: one with the bottle being completely empty, one with it filled half way with water and one with the bottle full of water. These samples we processed to bring you 8 mallet instruments, 4 sound designed instruments and 4 sound designed pads. These range from clean and beautiful mallets to dark and dissonant atmospherics. The Bottle has a cinematic, atmospheric vibe to it. Contents The Bottle Kontakt version contains 16 .NKI patches, 2625 uncompressed . WAV samples and takes up 3,7 GB of hard disk space. The samples are left in uncompressed WAV format to provide you with the possibility to load them into your favorite sampler or use them as raw audio files in your DAW. The Bottle MSoundfactory version contains 5 patches and takes up 600 MB of hard disk space. Both versions use the same original samples and you get both versions to use. Tech Specs The Bottle Kontakt version requires the FULL VERSION of Kontakt 5. It is proven to work with version 5.8.1 and higher. It will not function in the Free Player version. The Bottle MSoundfactory only requires the free MSoundfactory Player. You can download it here: https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSoundFactory Pricing The Bottle retails for 15€ (excluding VAT where applicable) with an introductory offer of 10€ until the 24th of May 2021. Go grab it here: https://www.manmakesnoise.com/the-bottle

  25. howdy ho amicus! glad you dig my stuff, you know, as it comes off 'slick' or polished, i have to say, there is nothing special about the way i track or mix. it's pretty straight up, without any tricks... guitars were straight out of the Iridium to interface, and usually just panned and eq'd a bit... bass, the same, maybe with some compression and limiting thrown on during mix, drums were the tricky thing to write, but they are straight out of superior drummer with my own spin on eq and leveling. so i'm glad i'm hitting the mark with what i want to be good sounding recordings, i never aspired to be a mixer... i'm a musician. but, to get my stuff down, i've had to learn to mix. and here i am! heheh thanks so much for the kind words

  29. Input gain does not affect live signals, only recorded/imported audio. Input level to CbB has to be set at the interface or in a software mixer that sits between the hardware and CbB - many hardware interfaces have a software console that does this. In your case where a hardware mixer is the interface, managing levels to the ASIO channels may be a hardware function only. That said, if input Gain is left at unity in CbB, the sound of live input monitoring should be identical to what you get when playing back a recording - with or without FX plugins operating on the output. Of course, It will definitely sound different from monitoring the mixed output from the mixer to PA/headphones, but the output from Cakewalk should sound the same whether live or recorded, using I/O level controls in the FX chain and track output Volume to mix

  31. Using MIDI won't help you at all. All the MIDI is used for is to remotely control the pedal (or perhaps for matching delay to tempo) - it carries no audio signal at all. If you just want to use the pedal as an effect, record your guitar dry as normal (i.e. plug the guitar directly into a Hi-Z input on your audio interface), then use a spare output on your audio interface to connect to the input of your pedal. The output of your pedal should go to a spare input on your audio interface. Then use the "External Insert" plugin on your recorded guitar track to send the audio out to the pedal.

  32. That's how it works here. (I am on ER 2021.4 Build 125) As a test, I created a Workspace with Control Bar Layout unchecked in the right hand pane. When I load that test Workspace, the Control Bar stay put and does not change its layout. I do use Workspaces with custom Control Bar Layouts, so I would know if the test Workspace made a change to the Control Bar Layout. Are you on the latest public build of CbB? (2021.1 Build 98)

  38. Double checked slash (/) in 'title' load error: My forked project: Harder They Come - Jimmy Cliff Cover with space dash space ( - ) in the 'title' loaded just fine in Cakewalk. When I changed those characters into a single slash the project failed to load with Cakewalk 'Browse Bandlab Projects...'[Load]. Probably some Regex() parameter in the 'translate title to filename' routine not properly set. (Yah, software engineer as a dayjob...just can't help myself, sorry...)

  40. Just to note... First, thanks for listing the vst/dx version. At last I know which I am using. I have long wondered why so many items got posted twice in the lists. At last I understand! 😉 I posted an item about this in the feedback loop as I have the option in Preferences selected to hide VST2 when VST3 is also available. Was this a misunderstanding on my part or a bug?

  44. It was a bully in high school! I don't think I'm hurting its feelings. I love TTS and wish it worked better. I get that it's old and can't be fix but when people post asking why it's going stupid, well, you know ... But I will point out that their frustrations are valid and it requires finesse to use it. And finish with snark. Use it early, use it a lot, freeze and get out.
