  2. Exactly what I am doing this morning, putting software, serials, passwords etc on to a spreadsheet. I've discovered stuff on my computer that I bought over a year ago and have never even used or even authorized.

  3. I need to check if I have this. I remember wanting it, but waiting for a sale. But can't remember if I got it. I really need a spreadsheet or something. 🤔

  4. I absolutely LOVE the new arranger tool. What I've done is that I have stopped using a ton of markers to mark the song sections. But now I have no frame of reference for where I am at, when looking at the piano view. For example, in the screen shot, the track view shows the the Break is about to come up, but in PRV where I'm actively editing notes, I have no frame of reference where the break is, Since I no longer use markers for that. Simple request. Please add an option to see the Arranger items in the timeline at the top of the PRV. Thanks!

  7. There's a few threads on the Presonus forum and some goods videos on Production Expert. It's a little controversial because of some Crosstalk "bugs", but I love the one that comes with Studio One and am thinking really hard about this one. My niggling beef is that they have given it away to new users recently and IMHO it should be part of the professional version of the DAW... (Now get out of my yard you damn kids! Hrmph! ) ===== Here you go James. As I said, I'm thinking hard about this one - I have it bookmarked. https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/studio-one//6-things-you-should-know-about-the-ctc-1-pro-console-shaper-from-ari-ahrendt

  9. They aren't giving SD3 on registering 😁. You do get New York Studios Vol 1 as a result of having it though, so it's not completely worthless for SD3 users. But at $99 it's kind of overpriced. I'd say $50-$70 would be fair.

  11. Looks like a nice uviengine library. Buying direct from mvploops (download instead of boxed) is even cheaper than MF, just $15. https://www.mvploops.com/bundles/sound-platoon/

  14. You shouldn't ever get angry at a company that doesn't give you a deal that is a mistake. That's crazy. MF doesn't change the price on you and charge you blindly. They contact you, explain the problem and offer you the product at the correct price (usually with some sweeter/discount/bonus) and let you decide to if you still want it. Since you expect companies to treat you right, you shouldn't be surprised if they expect the same. That said, MF has honored more of their mistakes for me than just about any retailer. I'm kind of looking forward to what deals will be put up when they are forced into bankruptcy along with Guitar Center.

  15. I just make templates. I have them for Solo Vocals, Acoustic Guitars, Grand Pianos, pads, etc. I'm constantly building them. If I get this, I'll just add it to my two guitars templates. When I get a new library in a category that I don't have a template for, I start one. It's really great in Cubase, because you can load up your favorite patches really quickly in your projects. It's a time-saver and you don't forget about the stuff you have because it's kept in categories. As I am not really an orchestral composer, I find this a better system than some huge 1000 part template. When I write music I start with a blank track and import the instruments I need from my various templates.

  16. The SnesDelay VST Plugin faithfully reproduces the Signature built in Reverb/Delay from the Super Nintendo Sound Chip. The effect was used on specified sound layers in many Super Nintendo Classics such as F-Zero, Megaman X, Super Star Wars, Chrono Trigger and many others. Four knobs controll the Delay within margins heard in the SNES. Works best on individual tracks and snappy sounds and effects. http://www.shemusic.org/snesdelay/index.html?fbclid=IwAR2PiA32vUnWlwnm3JS3bZU7Qr73qufuSUxBtfdu4hBKSPAORo6S3QjNLmE

  17. @tom Indeed, utterly unacceptable... I was almost one of those poor takers.... but managed to stop myself of buying the Modula at the release on the basis of that I made myself a promise, no matter what, I don't spend a penny on their stuff before I got those Acqua plugins working properly on a daily basis. The above mentioned ''Mac bug'' made me stick with the - no-buying resolution. I'm glad I did it, but feel sad for those who went for it. Isn't it enough that we are all the ''paying'' beta testers for many developers and even hardware manufacturers, so to furthermore, even be mislead about the pricing and product ''discount'' policies. Where's the moral these days... They should refund the difference to every and each one of the early adopters and top it up with the same additional amount in vouchers for future purchases!

  19. I hope this posting finds everyone healthy adjusting to our current circumstances. Here is a silly little song that hopefully might bring a little smile. It is a follow up to the a song down on my SoundClick song list somewhere simply called "Mangrove Sally". It is indeed a silly little love song in an unusual way. It is a bit raw, rough, and raunchy intentionally (I like it like that). However, for problems that stand out annoyingly so and others that cry out to be fixed (there will probably be more that a few), I would very much appreciate your input. Thanks!! Please be smart and stay safe. MANGROVE SALLY IN THE CITY https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandid=963481

  20. Yup... and Studio €150. While all changes are on Assistant "level". Version 4 had good cross-grate sales, while quite some features for Studio. Version 5 has no new editor/studio features and no sales. Better voice processing is a good thing, but too expensive for noobs like me (just because I like multi-track, so upgraded to Studio before).

  21. This is by design as this area is intended for use with MIDI hardware. The screen is disabled when no MIDI output devices are setup in CbB. It is possible to define alternate note name entries for the PRV Note Pane with a text editor. Open the master.ins in %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core in the text editor (may want to make a safety copy of master.ins before editing) Under .Note Names create a section called [AD Drums] (or whatever you want between the brackets) and add the MIDI note number=Drum Name pairs to appear instead of the keyboard in the PRV Then under .Instruments create a section using the same name (in this example [AD Drums] and add the following Patch=1..128 Key[*,*]=AD Drums Drum[*,*]=1 Save master.ins Now the new section should appear in the drop down in the PRV note names dialog. That said, the drum maps (I know you have already posted a request about them), track and project templates have already been built for AD2 and are available in the old Knowledge Base https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013364/Setting-up-a-Drum-Map-for-Addictive-Drums-2-in-SONAR If one creates the .Note Names section as a free standing ins file. There is a utility to convert it to a simple drum map. The utility may be found at http://dis.sesseler.de/ in the Cakewalk Sonar section.

  22. Worth a look. I've been waiting for Loc-Ness to be posted with "today's pricing" for some time. Never looked at it "in depth". (Pun on the loch). I have been in impressed with Beatskillz and Tone Empire, and notably the sound and results of the Tone Empire plugins. Good to know about this sale. Edit: in fact just listened to the YouTube examples and it does sound pretty good - or tempting at that price.

  27. I've always manually downloaded and installed, I like to have the actual files on hand. Manually download all the other stuff as well, then on a new machine or fresh install it's just drag and drop or point to the directory they are stored in . . . done. Then I just check for updates for all the extras/addons from within Studio One. The only other thing I download from within Studio One is new user manuals/Documentation.

  36. Instead of providing a library where at best i m 50 % close in tap to find , with ok stuff in every genre ...they should let you choose the type of library you want 1) general one (actual one ) 2) jazz , bleus 3) metal Ect ...it would have made more sens but they clearly want to sell those ... The glide is unusable here or might don t k ow how to use , variations are great in busy pattern , but my bassline use to fallow kick here and there , busy bass lines is what i hate ... Edition is 1990 .... and promised features are not there , and they re blaming daws for that ... witch is false since i can drag and drop audio from any daw in padshop for exemple ...

  37. @User 905133Thanks for the update. Model 3 has indeed been updated and we spent a lot of time tweaking it and fixing issues. It could be a combination of factors that lead to improved performance however. If you had a slower PC the UI improvements could be helping a lot. There are fewer messages and switching workspaces minimize UI updates. I'm curious however if you see a difference if you switch the model to 2 as opposed to 3. Performance is very system dependent, so its very hard to predict a best case solution which is why we have the different modes.

  38. Nice one Bjorn. Approaching the colder of the seasons, I sure can relate to the lyrics. Great instrumentation to complement the lyrics. BTW, the vocals are perfect for the sentiments expressed.

  39. Yes, you'll need to download the app using BandLab Assistant, then use Assistant to process the authorization request. This does not need to be on the actual machine you're authorizing, but Assistant is what accesses the download and auth.

  41. that's a catchy melody for sure! You might start the file with a tad of silence, instead of the music starting immediately. You don't by chance have one of them pedal steel guitars, do ya? That could fit in there somewhere . . . cheers, -Tom
