AND he even beat you on your own thread. Such naivety is adorable. š¤Ŗ But you DO get points for trying!5 points

If you're going to try & beat Larry you'll have to be very fast, precise and fairly brutal. He can undercut you with 3rd party special, eviscerate your post with a coupon code, shame you with direct link. This forum is littered with the bones of those that have tried to best him and failed. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!5 points

Must say a thanks to IKM. I had S/Tank 2.5 XL on a 10 year old SCAN PC. That I just updated from W7/64 to W10/64. This trashed my STank 2.5 (maybe because it was 32bit). But I saw that STank 3CS and STank 4 CS were in my account. And was able to install both and import the STank 2.5XL into both. And I'm sure found instruments I had never seen before ! Now they are all available in a better interface and tweakability. Feel like I've been given a HUGE Freebie.4 points

Rain piano! It wasn't in the last sale. š What's the difference between the regular and MKII versions? I look as soon as the sample stops playing. I do love rags. Oh, and now flight of the bumblebees. My mom used to play a lot of these before her arthritis got too bad. Edit: Nevermind. The MKII was what I wanted. 3 pianos for $26! Great deal!2 points

@ZokZTM @Craig Fowler Demo'd the RMX16 and really didn't like it to much. I mean it was lush, it was rich, just almost like too much. And the only good setting I found was a short room type setting that really gave it some airy space. Then seeing Zok's suggestion I will have to give that a try. I put RMX16, Capital Chambers, and Oceanway head to head with Waves Abbey Road Plates. I liked AR Plates the best (for what I was going for on that vocal) over RMX16 and Oceanway, but Capital Chambers really sounded nice! Ocenway I was really looking forward to re-micing the vocals. But to be honest, it just sounded like I put a lite blanket over the vocal. So I tried IK Sunset Studio and it wasn't much better. With out either the vocal was dry, but definitely had more focus and clarity. I recorded that vocal recently with the API Vision console strip. So I am not sure if the room reflections are more pronounced now or what. I got to dig into this some more. But I have decided that Capital Chambers is a winner!! Gonna get that one for sure.2 points

I hope this is the right place to put this. On the Pianobook community has a ppeared a huge freebie Pianolith ā Pianobook It's 11.6 GB unzipped (so make coffee whilst waiting). Has over 300 presets. But does need Kontakt 6 (full). Its creater has a commercial release on KontaktHub. Tons of ambiences etc. And looks very tweakable. I think this would be a decent commercial release. But even better it's free.2 points

That makes sense. I swear most of the stuff I've come up with in BiaB sounds somewhere between polka music and a waltz, which is why I haven't used it as much. You didn't know there was such a thing as polka-rock or country-waltz, did you? Well, BiaB can do it!2 points

The XtraStyle PAKs sound significantly different from the normal Band-in-a-Box styles. In part this is because the styles are created by a different person than the person that normally creates styles. The XtraStyle PAKs are made by a person named Jareth. Jareth has posted in the PG Music forum a few times and when he does, it typically is a post related to an XtraStyle. The XtraStyles include effects, panning and instrument arrangements that really stand out when compared to a regular style. For a beginner like me the XtraStyles are great learning templates. Listen to the demos, they don't sound like PG Music songs.2 points

The millenials all want to look old, with their beards and dyed gray hair. They're so derided (like the hippies) that they want to appear sagacious and authoritative. You have a great voice, not sure why you're so concerned.2 points

Digital modelling has certainly come a long way since the first Pod Bean. Our band recorded a track in the late 90ās using a POD2 and I remember being pretty happy with the results. The band is Off the Edge and the song is entitled "Just Another Band". During this Covid lockdown Iāve had a bit of time on my hands and just for fun, I found the original multitrack and decided to replace all the guitars with the Kemper using my own profiles. While the POD sounded great for its time (and still isnāt too bad) it just shows how far things have come in the modelling/profiling world. Iāve added the link to the original POD version as well for comparison. This is just for interest sake and the fact that since we canāt perform in a live situation I had to find something interesting to do. The link to the original song with the POD2 guitars is: Just Another Band (POD 2)1 point

Today I tried the latest version of CbB using an older symphonic/ jazz project. Deleted all the plugins & remixed from scratch. An older collab made with mp3s , 16b files so its lo-fi. CbB worked great overall, but did have a few crashes, not sure why. Maybe cause the project is older. Be safe + Go Well...1 point

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - Andrews Sisters The harmonies are so tight, even their consonants are all sing at exactly the same time. Whether you like the music or not, you can't deny the skill these gals had.1 point

I don't know that much about the tech , but if a cutting edge company like Celemony is only going the VST3 route....I'm guessing there are some advantages to it.1 point

I would use the Piano Roll View for this. With Snap on, and snap value set to an easy value (like 1/4), create the seven notes in the row, each with the same duration. Then select all seven notes. Then, while holding down CTRL, change the duration of the entire selection to match where you want the entire septuplet to end. The individual durations of each note will change also, yet all will have the same duration. Note: You did not say what version of Cakewalk so I have assumed the latest Cakewalk by Bandlab.1 point

I've currently got Editor, and I'm seriously considering upgrading to Studio. The main reason being that the new Chord analysis feature works across multiple tracks, and takes all of the tracks into account when figuring out what the chords are.1 point

Are you talking the original Console Shaper or CTC-1 Pro? If the original, do yourself a favour and grab CTC-1 Pro when you can, as good as the original was, CTC-1 Pro kicks it up a notch. It goes on everything, beautiful. IF you already have it, then carry on1 point
