Just another quick word... I've had this same conversation over "Full Kontakt" and "Kontakt Player" in the posts... I do it, when I can, as a courtesy, and I fully understand the request, but people also need to understand that the OP's time is JUST AS VALUABLE as anyone else's time! When I post, I try to verify this, and put it in the post, and iLok, but not always...as sometimes my time is constrained. If others want to post that info, because they actually DID do the homework, that IS helpful, and to them I give thanx for taking THEIR time to do it!

Larry, when you are posting a deal, could you please let me know if I've already bought it before I buy it again?

I've stated this before, so I'll state it again... Please don't ask OTHERS to do YOUR legwork... They are already posting the deals, so you ALSO want them to do the work to check and see if it's compatible with YOUR system? SERIOUSLY? If the deal interests you, then YOU need to do the research and find out if it's compatible with YOUR system - or something you'd want - NOT the person posting the deal. It only takes a few seconds to click through and check "System Requirements"! We do such things as a courtesy most of the time, and I get that this is only a request, but we need to "think things through thoroughly"! Sometimes the OP may just be too busy to do YOUR homework for you. I'm not trying to be mean...just LOGICAL

Somehow I knew which way this was gonna go............. Maybe Larry could record himself reading out the deals each day and post them in audio format to save anybody having to read the words themselves? That seems reasonable, right? Just hope that IK didn't upset him that day or it'll be more like an alarm clock. 😀

I have noticed that Kontakt Player compatible titles usually have big, bold, headlines "Works with Kontakt Player". Otherwise small print says "full Kontakt only".

I think most of us who spend time here are in the same camp. Sample and plugin hoarders. BTW, when that fella was posting his requests, it just hit me, I haven't said thank you in a little while. I know, I can be lousy at checking my emails and would miss time limited offers if not for your posts.

My goal is to keep so busy doing my sales post that I don't have time to buy anything. It's never worked before, but there's always hope. It is true that over the years I have bought so much crap that the wishlist gets smaller. One thing I'm looking at is the V Collection. I haven't updated mine since 2016, so if the update is $100 I will finally do it.

I hope the agreement includes a clause which deals with intellectual property in the event that things go south. Of course there are Yamaha / Steinberg and Apple / Logic Pro - development has not suffered in those cases.

I downloaded it earlier today and it sounds really interesting and a little different than Elysion v1. They are continuing to refine the user experience with the browser and patch management. Well- FedEx finally swept out the back room and found my EastWest HOOPUS SSD that was in "delivery problem" purgatory for several days. No fault of EW- they shipped the day I ordered. Caveats- I am running a Microstar X570-A Pro motherboard with Ryzen 3700X proc stock. Win 10 Pro 21H1. Going through a 10 port USB-3 hub. I am not ready to pull the case out of the rodent den and look for a faster connection yet. The EW SSD is an Lexar 1TB My photo below. Case has a USB-C and there are two included one foot cables (USB-C / USB-C and USB-C / USB 3.0A) Of course, EastWest might change the shipping hardware any time. I am not a performance buff, so I just used the first benchmark I could find, called "Crystal DiskMark 8" Sequential read was on par with my internal Samsung QVO SSD on SATA, but random, not so much. It seems to me that write speed doesn't matter at all here. This is a WORM drive. My M2 drive is 4x faster than these, but I can't give all that space to one library! I am happy with the value. Barely used Opus so far, but loading only used articulations rather than whole instruments feels plenty speedy. Time will tell once the track counts increase. LEXAR (EastWest OPUS shipped drive) <<<< ADDITIONAL INFO >>>> Here's a report running the Lexar SSD through a single USB 3.2 port (no hub). Big difference in write speed and a smaller bump in reading. My Samsung 4TB QVO SSD on SATA bus:

After the IKM group buy, with multiple buy ins I would sound like a crazy person wanting more plugins. That said, I've already got others since the sale and no doubt I won't be able to resist another deal that comes along. Honestly if the IK plugs were more recource efficient, I'd be less prone to look around. OP mentions of AAS freebie and $10midi from Toonrack are in my list assuming the MIDI is one I have any interest in. Will likely grab the free waves whatever and then never use it.

Seeing that article makes me wonder what kind of technology may be here already we aren't aware of. Something like this that has been lost in some Egyptian pyramid or Incan temple. You never know. Imagine the Great Pyramids being some form of magnetic based recorded library we haven't learned how to play back yet.
