Hi Everyone I really hope this is alright to post here I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone in the Songs forum for all the help, advice and support I have received over the years. I don’t think we would have progressed without all this help and advice. Devine lie has just hit a couple of landmarks. We have just broken the Twenty Thousand Subscriber on mark YouTube and the lead track off our last album, Indelible Stain, has just reached TWO MILLION VIEWS!!!!! I think this track has done so well because I do think the track is strong, but the video is even stronger! – probably one of the best videos we have ever done I have posted it below if you haven’t seen it or listened to it before. Great conversation about ASIO4ALL. I can attest it works better than my onboard computer's ASIO driver. I've reached out to Sterling's e-mail support and will update when I receive a response from them.

I also appreciate your very critical advice, which is probably closer to my own analytical nature -- with a lot less self editing! I tend to save the completely unedited takes for developers that engage in bad behavior. But I'm guessing over a couple of beers, you and I would have pretty similar savage takes!

I have been fortunate enough not to need a drill press (yet anyway), but one thing I blew off for years and shouldn't have was a table router. For precision edge work (especially bindings) it has saved so much time and effort on doing things I always used to do with hand tools.

Being unsupported must be a relatively new thing, as it worked for many years in Cakewalk. TTS-1 isn't good because I used a lot of different variations of the SoundCanvas instruments and voices. I may need to try exporting them all to another DAW where SC does work. 😕 Great suggestion but it didn't work. I love Cakewalk but this might be the end. SoundCanvas works in another DAW that I occasionally use, and I guess it will be more than occasionally now. 😢 EDIT: After making you read all that, I solved the problem by reinstalling an older version from 2019 that I had on a backup drive. Works perfectly now.

The range of the pitch wheel is fixed between -8192 and + 8191. How this is interpreted as far as pitch changes is up to the synth - it could be either a per patch or global setting. Most default to 2 semi-tones. Not all synth plugins allow you to change the pitch wheel range, and not all will allow up to an octave.

This is probably the preferred method to use anytime an FX isn't included in the instrument itself. Melda Production has a number of FX in their free MFreeFXBundle (with both a vibrato and tremolo). Depending on your application, another thing to consider with track FX are ones that are able to sync to the DAW tempo so they will musically fit the piece.

I do it with a vibrato vst. A bit of work but ok. Some vst respond to the modulation wheel with vibrato.
