  1. HoRNet Graffio FREE for 24 hours https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-graffio/ The deal expires on October 6th at 23:59:59 (Italian time) If you want distortion HoRNet Graffio gives you plenty. Graffio is a three band distortion unit with selectable crossover frequency and three different processors for each band: a saturator, an exciter and a bit reducer. Each of the processor adds a different kind of distortion to your signal, each of the flavors can be mixed with each other or bypassed, each band level is fully adjustable. High quality processing is guaranteed by the same 4x oversampling algorithm found in HoRNet Magnus. Of course if you want to distort the whole signal, Graffio works in full band mode too disabling the crossover and the high and low frequencies processors. The saturator module emulates the classic transistor distortion, an offset control allows for even harmonics generation and a warmer sound. The exciter lets you dial the specific amount of harmonics added to the signal, you won’t be able to completely distort your signal with it but this module allows you to spice up audio and make it thicker The bit reducer emulates the typical distortion of low quality digital equipment, it’s a modern and robotic distortion, useful if you want very noisy sounds.

  2. Good, he should close shop... and stop spamming. Seriously, it's a business, and if it finally does not work anymore, I am happy to see this one erased from the map.

  16. A rapper named Cole the VII shared his acapella track called "Back in Time" for others to use to do what they liked with. I put his track into my DAW with a click track and started improvising with it. Twenty-four tracks later, this is the result. I think it turned out pretty well. So Cole did the acapella rap and I composed and played all of the music you hear, live (well, one track at a time). I'd love to get thoughts on the track, where you think my improvised parts work and where you think they don't and your advice on how to make a better mix. I have this track on private, so I'm not sharing this beyond with Cole and some musician friends. I did have a blast making it, but as I wrote, it's improvised and in a day or so, I may want to tweak some of the parts and it'd be valuable to hear from folks what parts they like and what they don't like. My timing isn't perfect. This isn't a heavily quantized song, in fact, a lot of my tracks feature no quantization, so some of the timing isn't perfect. If you find any of the timing is so off it bothers you, please share it and I'll redo that part. I basically kept things as they were because I had a vibe going and I thought quantizing things would destroy the feel. Thanks, Peter

  26. I got the serial for TAL-J-8 within minutes, but I jumped on that order so damn fast, just in case the changed it! They've pulled them from the store now entirely.. hopefully they're just sorting out more serials and they put them back at the same price again.

  27. Spaming is one thing, but Scamming is another. I fell victim not once but twice to buying into his "group buys". The kind that he promised some yet to be released products at a good price. Both times he never delivered all the final products, by the time the products were made, if they made it that far. The link to the group buy download page stopped working. This was before you could create an account on the site. The reciept was also crafted in such a way to where it didn't describe what products you were to get, it just said you purchased "group buy" so it's hard to even prove the scam.......... never again am I doing business there.

  32. AudioSnap is designed specifically for this task. There are various YouTube tutorials covering this. First you need to decide whether to (1) snap the grid to the band, or (2) snap the band to the grid. For option 1: https://youtu.be/I7D3wZldUJw?si=wWmHI8Sv7uXPJIo3 For option 2: There are plenty of YouTube videos covering this: https://youtu.be/9rg5c-4QiEg?si=YWXGaT4Yff6Fv90X https://youtu.be/d5Vpyj4dkQs?si=pmHIEgYEPMDpfU5V https://youtu.be/SyKEMul_VGA?si=joDJqObAs5Dv0QO8 You can of course use a combination of 1 & 2 - i.e. use option 1 to create a varying tempo map that matches what the band is playing, then edit the tempo map and use option 2 to align everything to a steady tempo.

  33. I have seen no benefit or improvement in 11. Just the opposite for me. I prefer 10 but updates will eventually cease. And some older systems can't run 11.

  34. I can probably chime in as I am a big ST user. So what I have so far discovered is, i like the fact that its a unified interface. Also if you use individual instances of ST with one instrument per instance, it uses separate cores of the CPU which seems quite handy for working with multiple tracks as i keeps resource usage low. Also, if you are mildly familiar with T-racks, the effects are really straight forward to navigate. I have also found I seem to like the sampled syntronick synths better than arturias emulations They just seem to have more punch to them and stand out better in a mix -- to my ears anyways. My only beef with it is the dark GU. its sometimes hard to see small fonts. Maybe something IKM folks can address in future update.

  38. Well, if you don't know what the Unison Technology does for you, it might seem you are buying it "just for Apollo." Apollo's Unison Technology actually changes the internal circuitry of their preamps to match the physical hardware (according to UAD). As an Apollo user I can say that using a Unison plug on the printed to disk recording chain is miles ahead of the native plugins offered by other vendors. YMMV.

  41. Recently I have been having difficulty in categorizing genre for the stuff that I have been working on. This song is also giving me the same issue. This is a simple song using just guitars, bass and drums (old school). It is intended to be just a bit of fun with some observations and a wee bit of a message. As always comments, suggestions, crit.'s, etc. will be very much appreciated! Thanks!! IT'S NOT YOUR BUSINESS https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandid=963481

  42. One small precision , same here , all native PA , softube ect are already in my folder natively ( sonnox as well) But one thing that might be different and YOU guyz tell /confirm me , is Amp sim and Preamp , that uses original impedances Via Unison technology ... Those might be interesting if the diff versus used in daw as insert is noticeable enougth ...

  44. It is certainly a very good sale for new clients. I have no doubt that this is a great opportunity to create a very nice piece of work. I would hope for the same relief for existing clients. I hope that once the UAD testing is done, they will look at people like me and resolve this issue. I appreciate your kind attention to my story. Thank you very much.🙂
