The major issue with sample-based synths like Syntronik Mem-V is that some sounds from the real synth are intrinsically impossible. You get a small, finite set of pulse widths. Maybe modulated, maybe not. With a fully modelled synth, you can do a PWM pulse-width sweep, from x% to y% synced to 1/4 notes or whole notes, or anything in between. Or a sequence of sine waves that get "cut off" in the middle by a lower-frequency square wave. This allows for changes in harmonic content that you just can't get from single samples. It's probably the motivation for "wavetable" synths. Which doesn't mean that the sounds you get from this are bad, it's just limited.

How is this even enforceable or even legal? That means if you bought a Waves product from a reseller and somehow forget to register it before March 26 you will lose your money.

I'd like to see IK come up with a compression method to reduce the bloat. Using Sampletank browser is annoying for their other libraries.

@AndyB01 you keep on prayin' ! It's been a long time coming.

Been on Win11 a few months, haven't really noticed much of a difference and definitely no issues. Although when I recently switched my audio interface, both Windows and CbB just worked without me having to do any configuration -- I thought that was kind of cool. I was a hold-out for upgrading, but the thing that convinced me was when they added file explorer tabs last fall. I find that pretty useful.

I add this here as its a request so I can be on the look out for deals or otherwise on decent solo vocal instrument / plugins to use in MODERN tracks vs say a choral track or a soundtrack. For a usage such as non verbal backing tracks. I think 8DIO sort of tried thsi with The Forgotten Voices series like Cait, but the control features in this were not great in my view. And no real AHs, Ooohs etc, more set phrases not very editable. Hope my description is understandable .. in a nutshell, rather than me recording AHH and layering it .. would be great if there was a solution with less choral but more contemporary vocal sounds

Not to gloat, but in the January sale I bought 3 Falcon expansions for 50% off and was able to use my loyalty voucher on top of that. It felt a little extravagant at the time, but looking back, it was the right move.

Sign in . Go to your account settings . Under the Overview setting (on your left ) you will see a setting for Display Name. Hit Display Name and it will bring up the settings you need for you to make the changes you want to make . Kenny

That's a fairly good idea. Although if you only have a couple of drum sounds (as opposed to wanting dozens of varieties of snares, etc) it doesn't take a lot of time to sample the ones you want and pop them into Battery.

And everyone and their dog seems to implement their own preset management scheme now anyway, putting presets in a variety of places (Program Data, Program Files\Common Files, VST3 Preset folder, User folder...).

If the track is in a collapsed folder, that might explain it. There's an "Expand Track Folder on Track Focus" option under the Track View options. If this is checked, then changing focus to a track in the console view will automatically expand the folder the track is in, giving it focus in the tracks view too.

The nice thing about being of an age where youth culture completely baffles me is that officially I don't have to give a toss about anything happening beyond my own tiny little universe.
