  1. Announcing our biggest sale of the year: the Orange Tree Samples Summer 2022 Group Buy sale, your opportunity to get up to 60% OFF* our libraries and bundles! How It Works In a group buy, the more people that join the sale, the greater the discount becomes, up to 60% OFF at the highest discount tier. Starting today, all you have to do is add a library to your group buy order. The sale applies to all our sample libraries, including bundles and bundle upgrades., and you can modify your order at any time during the group buy. If you've saved up any Orange Slices points, they can be combined with the group buy discount for even greater savings. If you haven't already completed the survey questions in our Surveys for Slices program, that's a quick way to earn more Orange Slices. The group buy sign-up period lasts until July 12th (at 11:59 PM UTC), after which you have until the end of the month of July to complete your purchase. Of course, if we reach the highest tier before then, you'll be able to check out early. You can change your group buy order at any point, even after the group buy has ended (as long you joined the group buy by committing to purchase at least one library). So even if you're not sure which exact library or libraries you want, be sure to add something to your group buy order to save your spot in the sale. Once the group buy has ended (or if we reach the highest discount tier before then) you'll receive an email with a link to complete your group buy purchase. This link will also be accessible from the group buy page in your account. There are a few surprises planned along the way, too, bonuses which will get unlocked when reaching certain discount tiers. How You Can Help Besides joining the group buy, simply participating here, our Facebook page, or Twitter is incredibly helpful! If there are any communities you know of that would appreciate this sale, please share the news with them, or even just let us know and we'll make sure they get the announcement. * Evolution Rubber Bridge is excluded from the sale, having been released only a month ago. 2. That's a lot of bug fixes... Now I see why they need WUP.. they make really buggy software 🤭🤣

  3. Well... I had been thinking about the MPS4.1-MPS5 upgrade when this thread popped up. And after waffling all day and FOMOing I bought it. ...Then I felt guilty about taking advantage of it. So I emailed support and told them I bought it, but hadn't installed it yet, and that I'd return it for credit if they wanted. I got this reply back from Izotope support this morning. I'm not trying to dip my toes into any of the stuff going on over at VI-control or cast judgements or anything like that, but I wanted to dispel the conspiracy that this was some sort of conniving marketing scheme on the part of Izotope. It's simple. Someone at Izotope screwed up, some of us took advantage of it, and Izotope stands behind their products and sales regardless. peaceout. 🙂 PS. Oh! And thanks for the OP @Yan Filiatrault !

  4. WUP required!!! Nope!!! Those bug fixes should be free. I apparently bought defective plugins... I understand if they want to charge for new features & improvements, etc. But charging for bug fixes, yikes!!! 🙄

  16. I bought a bunch of Waves plugins during a sale last year - before I understood their update policy. I logged in to my Waves account today and saw it would cost me $141.28 to use them with v14. This price includes the 25% discount. I see absolutely no incentive to do this and I certainly don't see myself purchasing any more Waves products in the future.

  30. I have mixed feelings about this. Strongest about negative is to pay for a number of plug-in fixes… that’s definitely not right. I love quite a few of my waves plug-ins, but, time to replace them with stuff I always own and or similar things that update without wup.

  35. (1) Its a matter of individual taste and sonic goals. Personally, I like filter sweeps, including resonance sweeps (including a range from subtle to wild) and sometimes static resonance settings. (2) I just did a very simple test and found that Yes, the resonance knob had an effect on various filter modes in Syntronik (pre-2) with the 6dB filter. Simple Test: Open Syntronik > Minimod > A Deep Sweeper. Select M-Type Filter and 6 dB Slope. Try different Modes. WARNINGS: Do not do this with headphones on. When testing, start with the volume low.. Trigger some notes and play with Resonance and Cutoff. ============== Just my opinion: I applaud oqpoil's dedication to uncovering quirks and sharing his results with the community here. I appreciate Peter's efforts to inform users of information he has, even when he is just passing on information others have given him. I think the factory presets are well designed to ignore the quirks and to showcase a wide range of presets. I think the quirks can be used extremely creatively. Pun ("extremely") definitely intended. Despite all the quirks, $49 is a very nice price for the functional equivalent of Syntronik 2 MAX.

  46. Many thanks to Yan Filiatrault for posting this. I was originally going to wait towards the end of the month to purchase the upgrade to MPS5, as I was hoping that iZotope might lower the price a slight bit more, as they did for the Neutron 4 upgrade. Oh man, to my surprise, something even better showed up. This is a insane price for this set. What made it even more of a no brainer for me was the fact that I had a personal discount code laying around that got me 20% off the aforementioned purchase price. So that's 159.20 for all of this. FREAKING SWEET!
