  6. Also checked the Celestion Speaker Shaper. Great plugin. Very detailed and precise, yet, since it's on par with WoS and AT5, it brings nothing new to the table. I'd buy it was heavily discounted and if there were more speakers and mics available. Otherwise it's just another interface to what I already have. Yes, you get very creative with this and process your signal through 8x24 Neo Greenbacks. Just ain't the droids I'm looking for.

  7. It's usually 4 clicks, with a list browse to choose the theme. Not a big deal if you don't change themes that often, but if you work on theming, you have to switch themes every time you preview your work and then save it. Here's how to get it to a single click: Use workspaces. All you do is load the theme you wish to be able to switch to quickly, then create a workspace for it, selecting only "Theme" for what you want to "Load from Workspace." Next time you want to switch to that theme, select that workspace and it will load the theme without making any other changes to your layout. I have them for all of my 7 themes.

  10. Hi there, So how about instead of a trial version, a free Light version that simply works forever? :) When we decided to create the suite, trust me, we went through all the plugins you list (and more) so as to try and cherry pick the best features each one had to offer and lay them down on a unified, clean and easy interface . You see, right now, the Ambisonics world is way too 'I need to decode this' oriented. Our aim with the Suite was to offer a product for those users who need to 'do something' where decoding is just a step of the bigger picture and not the final objective. Of course we know there are other powerful plugins out there with which you can achieve decoding and manipulation of Ambisonics signals, but we tried to unify the best of each plugin into one, simple and automated solution. Audio Brewers' automatically suggests output array. Audio Brewers' automatically troubleshoots your signal (many times we've seen our users getting confused when decoding Ambisonics) Audio Brewers' works natively in Logic without the need to do any complex routing of 4 individual mono channels (what a pain!) Audio Brewers' is 100% resizable, so you can scale the window size to your needs Compared to Soundfield, apart from the points above: Audio Brewers' has Roll control. Audio Brewers' has Dominance control. Audio Brewers' doesn't send audio info to the LFE whenever in surround mode. Audio Brewers' doesn't include the Rode-only settings (mic position etc.) that can be confusing to those who simply want to transform a B-Signal file Audio Brewers' can be inserted as a panner in Nuendo/Cubase Pro which can help unlock the automatic output suggestion Compared to ATK (and trust me, ATK is an amazing tool and we absolutely bow our heads to its power and features!) Audio Brewers' is also compatible with AAX, AU and VST3, and not locked to Reaper Audio Brewers' tried to simplify controls to make things easy to people who need things done in a matter of seconds. Audio Brewers' has a friendly interface designed to be understood by anyone who might not be very related to the Ambisonics world. Audio Brewers' is not 10+ plugins where each does one thing, but instead 1 plugin that does all (although there are split versions, too!) :) I guess in a way, we're absolutely sure this plugin could fit some users more than others, and maybe there could be plugins that could offer deeper settings and you could spend hours looking for that perfect sweet spot - but to us, it was more important to make a plugin that can manipulate and decode signals in a matter of seconds so that you can move on to what's really important in any given project. So if you have a project where the main objective is to decode an Ambisonics signal into a custom-array of 50+ speakers dome placed at custom positions, this Suite might not be what you need. However, if you a have a project in which you are mixing some sound design for film, or composing some music and have a couple of ambisonics tracks you need to convert to an Atmos bed, Stereo objects or even ITU Surround Formats, and then you move on to whatever is next, then the Suite will perfectly fit in your workflow, because you will spend 10 seconds setting it up :) We invite you to check our our video tutorials in which we explain how to setup and decode Ambisonics signals in most DAWs, generally in about 1-2 minutes, because to us, it shouldn't take longer than that :)

  12. Here is one I made awhile back. I was attempting to replicate a jazz hall. I learned a lot of things in this mix. It starts off rather abruptly. The shouts reminded me of some old 50's movies I've some across so I added them which makes the whole thing seem more choreographed. This mix itself could use some work to put the pianos better in the space. I added parts of piano on both sides of the stereo image and so it has a bit of an odd delivery but seemed to work at the time. -Tim

  17. I hate to say it, but $149 is the regular price for a the DT 770 PRO 80 ohms. I know because I shopped for awhile and that's the price today at Amazon. I don't know about the other headphones. However, I was able to buy a pair for $140 during Black Friday. I remember somebody posting an announcement here where they were less than that. That said, I really recommend these headphones. The 770 has changed my life. I'm mad I never bought a decent pair of phones before . The difference between these and my old CB-1s is truly night and day. I may end up buying a second pair when there is the kind of sale where they reduce the price. 😀 FYI, the 770 is closed, the 990 is open, and then there is the 880 (not on sale here) which is kind of in the middle, and that's the one Ann-Kathrin Dern uses (along with her Sennheiser). You don't have to spend a fortune to get something that is really super-comfortable and sounds great. What I like about these phones is that they give you a clear picture in your mind between all the different instruments. It's uncanny It really sculpts them out. So when I mixed my first binaural track, it sounded awesome. Then I listened to it on my CB-1s and it was mud. You would never notice that it wasn't good if you didn't hear the same thing on the Beyerdynamics. I had to revise my mix and try to find a middle ground.

  23. Hi! It would be nice if the curves (track envelopes, clip envelopes, fade in and fade out) had a middle point to ease manage the tension of the curve. Now, we have to select (using right click) between 3 predefined: linear, slow curve, fast curve, jump (only for track/clip envelopes) which it's quite limited and slow. Here, a serum vst example image, showing this tensions points: Here a gif showing and example in LFOTool vst plugin Thanks!

  24. I'd like to collect together in one place drum maps for all of the Toontrack EZDrummer EZX kits. Others may want to also have drum maps for Superior Drummer. Does anyone have any drum maps for these plugins? I will start by posting one I just made for the EZX Pop Kit. I have some others I have downloaded but need to review/verify them before posting. 27. I still mix with my Beyerdynamic DT 880 S, which are at least 40 years old! I am more into open back headphones for 2 reasons: they are known to have a better sound field than closed back and with them I can hear life around me, like door bell, phone, etc. I do have cheap Monoprice closed back for tracking vocal and acoustic guitar. I guess newer models should sound better so I asked Santa for some. My wife gave me the new Beyerdynamic DT-900-PRO-X, but I am still waiting for them to arrive. No stock here yet.

  39. I understand your point, but if you have been monitoring Cakewalk's populaity on Facebook in the past three years, you will notice that there has been an influx of more than 2,000 new users who are looking for Cakewalk help and tips on Facebook user groups. That is why Mike and co. who have been making YouTube tutorials saw the need to create Facebook groups to reach these group of users. Thanks.

  41. Yes. Even if I say so myself, I've written some truly masterful jazz pieces where I left out nearly all of the notes. That is the mark of true genius. The music becomes whatever the listener wants to hear. If they don't like it, they only have themselves to blame.
