We, being only flesh, form our opinions mostly by our "indoctrination" and "experience" and those "opinions" may, or may not, actually be "factual"! We fail to grasp the concept that facts don't require us to believe in them...they exist outside of "opinion and belief"! The big problem is that most people don't want "facts"! They want what THEY PERCEIVE as facts to be reinforced by "external sources"! Hence why most, even when provided with UNQUESTIONABLE FACTS, will reject those facts - because that information doesn't "reinforce" their own "perception of the facts"! Truth is truth..it has no pre-requisite for ANYONE to believe it. It's TRUTH! The problem comes when "humans" relay that information to one another, where it get's "molded" into a "narrative" that supports our personal "perception", rather than what is factually accurate. To quote: Truth, after all, is so poorly lit As an example: Two people see an accident between a red car and blue car. One person is on one side of the accident, and is POSITIVE that the blue car is at fault. The other person, having seen it from a "different perspective", is POSITIVE that they red car is at fault. BOTH believe that their "perspective" is FACTUAL! However, NEITHER have considered ALL of the variables, but have passed judgement based solely on their "visual perspective and perception" but not on "Facts"! Hopefully that makes it understandable why it is SO IMPERATIVE that things be INVESTIGATED, and ALL possible known information be considered, BEFORE we draw any "conclusions" and decide what is "Factual"! Otherwise it's just a "self-reinforced delusion"! And THIS is WHY we have what we have TODAY! Politics and the Media have become about "molding narratives to shape the perception of reality, and controlling the masses", rather than about what is FACTUALLY ACCURATE!5 points

Sooo…. I just tried Amp Room on my Studio One 5.4 Pro (Windows 10 Pro) rig and it uses a much smaller slice of CPU than the current version of AT5. (Peter-you guys have to fix this!). Perhaps influenced by the rainy, cold, meteorological malaise that is afflicting me in LA right now, I have succumbed to this deal (including Bluesbreaker) , with the SSL Drumstrip thrown in for good measure. Out till 2022….. which hopefully is not a repeat of the last two years!!5 points

What about a separate sub forum for "User Deals"? That would keep them from clogging "Deals" thread...and you wouldn't even have to go there if you didn't want to! And it would keep this groups sales HERE instead of at KVR, taking traffic over there... Just a thought!4 points

This group -- me included -- is terrible about staying on topic! Hahaha. For someone who actually cares, I'm sure it's very frustrating.4 points

A man is convinced he is dead. His wife and kids are exasperated. They keep telling him he's not dead. But he continues to insist he's dead. They try telling him, "Look, you're not dead; you're walking and talking and breathing; how can you be dead?" But he continues to insist he is dead. The family finally takes him to a doctor. The doctor pulls out some medical books to demonstrate to the man that dead men do not bleed. After some time, the man admits that dead men do not bleed. The doctor then takes the man's hand and a needle and pokes the end of his finger. The man starts bleeding. He looks at his finger and says, "What do you know? DEAD MEN DO BLEED!"4 points

I bought two libraries from them, the Trio Broz viola and the vibraphone libraries, during their Christmas sale -- my first time ever purchasing from them -- and I love both libraries. They have quickly become one of my favorite small developers.4 points

I like the idea in theory. I generally buy and sell on VI:Control. It's been great because I am selling and buying from people I "know" from their posts. That's a vote for how it could be a very good thing here. And I think it's also true that I am more motivated to buy from somebody I know on VIC and like. That would definitely happen here. Who wouldn't want to buy from Larry? https://vi-control.net/community/forums/for-sale-music-gear-classifieds-free-service.66/ But there are rules on VIC. For example, you can only bump once a month. This keeps it fair and keeps out people who are running a 365 day a year store. Mike Greene and his moderators do that. Who would do that here? How would it work? Because if there aren't rules in place, the sharks will come. Another place I have used is Knobcloud.com. There is no fee and try to provide some protections for you in selling. They know the rules for selling software and won't let anybody offer to sell something where the developer doesn't allow it. Here's their reselling information database, which is useful to have. https://www.knobcloud.com/developer-database.php The main problem with KnobCloud is it's relatively new and nobody knows about it. I list everything but I've sold very little there.2 points

Ok. If you say so. I missed the memo where you "officially" gave up the geetars . . . but at least you could play at one time - I have three and could never get my piano fingers to pretzel up on those barre chords. . . much respect.2 points

Congrats! I passed that milestone several years ago, waiting until I was 66 so I could continue to work if/when needed. All I can say is...it is a good thing, and you will appreciate it, whatever the size of the monthly check, because we paid into it all these years. Now go do what you wanna do....2 points

I too, am getting old. What little hair I have left is graying. My eyes and ears don't work as well as they used to. Love handles and man boobs are the new norm. My hips and knees ache from walking up stairs. But, BUT, in spite of all that, I have the prostate of a 12 year old boy..... ....I keep it in a jar on my living room mantle!2 points

Was that an oboe or something with a little lead line in the intro? Loved that. Very cool darker yet swinging vibe here. It's a very good mix, clear as hell. As an experiment you could automate the snare hits up .5db at least when you are not singing. The snare might drive it a little harder when it's just the instrumental. You might also draw that ending fade out a bit longer. Another earworm from Westerly Sessions. Hope there are many more volumes. cheers, -Tom2 points

All for it. But it might make sense to put in some restrictions on the sale forum to prevent too much spamming? Like at least x posts in the other Forums and maybe just one Topic per member? I see a lot of people refreshing their topic at KVR depending on what they're selling,2 points

That was too good to pass up. One more buy this year, but it was the Ultimate!2 points

Yes. I have had a wireless keyboard, and that worked great. It finally got to the point where several keys quit working. The mouse that came with it also quit working after a while. On a limited budget these days, I'll not be purchasing a new keyboard/mouse. (yes, I'm that limited) Being able to limit the # of loops automatically (and also, have transport auto-stop, too) would eliminate the awkwardness of holding a violin/viola and bow, and trying to tap the keyboard before another pass occurs. Its a momentary awkwardness, but would help eliminate breaking an expensive bow on a mic stand in the haste to shut the recording down. I record in a small-ish space, and maneuvering around w/fiddle, or with guitar/bass strung over me, is a bit of a pain. Being able to limit the number of takes and stop transport automatically seems like something CW could handle pretty easily.2 points
