If you go to the IK Website and log into your User Area, a Pop Up will ask if you want to Redeem the Art Deco Piano. After that when you open the Product Manager it should be there already authorized. That was my experience. It is a nice piano for a freebie, and thanks for posting the IRL pic, that looks really nice. I am going to try and feature it on the livestream Thursday.

I've always had exactly 0 issues with either downloading, installing and/ or authorizing IK stuff.

Here's one I've been going back and forth on for quite a while. I keep getting road blocked on the lyrics and vocals so , I'm just posting it for now as an instrumental. All feedback is welcomed . If anyone want's a shot at it you're more than welcomed. Thanks .. mark

Yeah, the ability to run multiple devices is not something manufacturers keep secret. If their devices are designed to run together, it will be documented and included in their marketing material. The opposite is not true. IOW, don't expect manufacturers to go out of their way to document their devices are not designed to run together or see that as a bullet point in their marking material.

Different interface same discussion The bottom line is if interfaces can be aggregated, the hardware documentation will cover how to do it. It takes a specially designed ASIO driver (ideally although other driver modes may work) and a way to sync the devices to the same clock. This is something hardware vendors who support the feature document. Any audio or MIDI interface changes will likely require adjusting projects to suit the new hardware.

Mixing vocals can be easy if you just know the right approach. Today, we are going to use EQ, Compression, and even some nice extras to get a vocal to set on top of a mix. What is EQ? It stands for Equalization. This is a term that describes what an EQ is doing, it is literally making things equal. In other words, if you have an offending frequency that is built up in the vocal, you can grab an EQ to make that frequency more pleasent to hear by turning it down. LOL yeah I started with T-racks v1 - the rack - something like 20 years ago. I had no idea what was what, just picked the first preset and it already gave me the sound close to what I was looking for. Had to tweak it a little more for the next couple weeks (the classics have not so obvious controls at least to me) and I was there. That way I got bought effectively into the whole T-rackS ecosystem. And that was in times when I had no idea about mixing. But it was just the rack so the 'problem' was fairly low, now I've got almost the whole collection more like 50 of them

Anything that has a squelchy synth in the intro starts well I would say, nice tone on the guitar, it also counter points that guitar nicely. Cool grooving, as they say, on the bass and the drums.

It is really geared towards a keyboard player playing a guitar in real time. IOW, a good keyboard player could make some good sounding guitar tracks with it.

Temp sync for this project finished! 🙂 After many Ctrl/Alt/Del, I think that it is crashing only when I drag a clip that is right after a measure change. I had to manually adjust the tempo at the measure following a measure change, then drag the next measure, and it didn't crash BTW, the song is Genesis "Firth by Fifth". The tracks are from karaoke-version.com. It is a great version that perfectly matches the tempo of Genesis studio recording, beat by beat. I will use it as a base to record our own. I'm using 2021.06 latest version. Has anyone noticed getting some small pops or glitches that only show up in playback? In other words you record something and listening intently, but upon playback there maybe 1 pop or glitch that wasn't there during recording. This is just like a bug that we had back in the Sonar days and it was fixed. I'm concerned this type of bug may be back. So all I'm saying is please report anything like this to this thread, because if more are getting this then it likely is a bug. In my setup I have an analog mixing board and all my tracks audio outputs from CbB come into it and I set levels. The output of the board goes into a CbB input and ends up on an audio track in the Track pane that I record the stereo outs of the board. Yesterday I did a board mix and everything sounded fine, but upon playback there was a glitch that sounded like a flubbed double keyboard piano note from my Ivory piano. on 6/17 I did another mix using 2021.04 and got 1 little pop. So far this has only happened 2x in about a month, but the last time this happened was long ago with a bug in the Sonar days. If you record a vocal or guitar or anything and it sounds fine when recording but shows up on playback then you've found it.

Hey my friend, from one lower case mark to another - you are a gifted musician, better than me by far. I have to say though that I was hoping for a break or transition at some point. As someone who has listened to much craig chaquico, I can appreciate "unstructured" feel good music, but since you mentioned lyrics and vocals I hope you can appreciate that you may have to box in your flow a bit in order to incorporate that element. Overall, loved the feel, the vibe and the musicianship. Thank you for sharing that. - mark

Thanks for the video i think thats the one i watched. I had it appear with the lock after it was already manually authorized then i authorized it again and no more art deco pic/box in the left column but in the instruments column of piano choices in st4. My power is off now due to bad thunder storm! I think i will try the restore my products when i have power back on

Once you install it using the Product Manager, you have to authorize it. After I installed it, it showed up in the left Instrument column with a LOCK icon on it. Once I registered it with the Authorization Manager using the serial number from the My Products section on their website, it became available for play. NOTE: If your watch the video on YouTube, there are a couple of useful links in its description.

I used the IK Authorization Manager to register. Product Manager worked not for me.

Short answer: No. Longer answer: that's not how it's done. First, quadraphonic is obsolete. Second if you want to do surround sound, how you do it is with an interface that has multiple outs.

Good post msmcleod! That technique can help acoustify (is that a real word? can we copyright it if not?) a DI recorded guitar. There are a number of acoustic guitar IRs out there, where instead of capturing sound of a room they capture sound of a guitar body.
