  1. I got nutin from Tracktion guess I missed out on that action so I lack the satisfaction of the 'I got it FREE!!" reaction would I have used it? I dunno but that's sometimes how it'll go if I had Biotek this might have been a song now it's just a poem that ran too long....

  6. I hate that they do that 😒 These are not some legacy plugins that no one cares about, but awesome reverbs that many people love and use. How hard would it be for Izotope to integrate them into their Product Portal?

  7. Anyone have opinions on this one? It's pretty, but is it worth using a voucher for $25? -- OR -- IK's for the same $25 right now?? Is it better than the Waves PuigTec which I own? Why am I even looking at yet another EQ emulation?? 🤔

  8. You are correct and it's why I often avoid using the metronome. I use drum patterns instead, most originated with my Roland 505 drum machine. Here are a few of my midi drum patterns as well as the Tennessee Waltz which has bass and strings as well. Make sure you have NO midi output devices selected in Preferences and the TTS-1 should load and play these files. waltz beat 85 BPM.mid WALTZ 2 104 BPM.mid Waltz 3 122 BPM.mid TENNESSEE WALTZ.mid

  12. Funny how people don't take the time to read the release notes which is offered after the install. This is real important information and much easier to take the time right then to do this. You'll miss out on all the new features some of which you actually might need.

  16. @Noel Borthwick , I've just received some finding from u-he developers / support, that may be interesting. They believe that this is caused by DAW, specifically the order of calls to plugin from DAW on project load (see below). Thomas from u-he kindly asked me to pass this information to you, hence he has no direct contact to you: "The crash in the u-he VST3 effect plugins happens because the plugin's "process" call is called by the host before calling "setActive", which causes it to be uninitialized. This only happens when loading a project. When you instantiate a plugin manually, Cakewalk will call "setActive" before "process", so everything is fine in that situation. We are pretty sure that the host should call "setActive" before the plugin's "process" call, also when a project is being loaded." This perfectly matches my own observations. If you need more info, he recommends to contact him directly, believing that you still have his email address (or to support@u-he.com if you don't). EDIT: They also did some workaround on their side (within plugins), that should avoid these specific crashes and will be abailable through their next plugin updates. Still believing that root cause is in DAW, see above. Thank you, Stefan

  23. I like this, but the main problem is that it doesn't recognize many chords. I don't know what it does beyond major and minors. It doesn't really say. There are also two extra nkis-- one with chords and one with notes. So you can play lead lines with this as well as strum. I'm going to give the edge to the NI strummers because they recognize more chords. The AAS and ujam guitars also recognize a lot of complex chords. But this has its place. I like being able to stack four guitars at once, and the strumming engine is good. 👍

  24. I don't think sonically NeoVerb, R2/Nimbus et al are all that much different. The features like smart /AI & integration into an izotpe product are new. PhoenixVerb & R2 are still my bread & butter go-to's after all these years even with all the new reverbs released since.

  26. Yes, thank you, Reid. I auditioned that mandolin but that sound was more like classical "Italian style" bowl-back mandolins rather than bluegrass "German style" archtop mandolins. I'm looking for the latter.

  31. I have both. Vocal bender is more like little alterboy (pitch and formant shifting). Ovox is more like vocalsynth (resynthesizer). So I use them differently and in my experience haven’t found one can replace the other.

  35. ......And with this update (windows) when you quit it shrinks to the notification area and keeps running in the background. You have to right click the notification to quit. Nothing in the preferences to switch this behaviour off How annoying - why would you want the product portal running in the background the entire time, it's not as if izotope actually update anything !

  36. I'm trying to figure out how to stop something from occurring. It looks like articulation maps are causing clip selection to act strangely. When I click the clip in the first measure of the MIDI track as pictured below, the articulation for the second measure is also selected and the selection range above the MIDI track has both measures. If I select the second clip in the MIDI track, only the second measure is selected, as expected. If I move the second articulation a little to the right and click the first clip again, only the first measure is selected, as expected. I've attached a small project file that shows what I mean as well. Selection Bug.cwp

  40. Good News! Spitfire is fixing the LABS Leak. I received an email from Spitfire tech support today with beta versions that fix the leak. I have tested the vst and vst3 beta releases and I used Pluginguru's Unify 1.5 to make sure that this is fixed. I tried every category/type of LABS instruments and there were no crashes any more; I also let it run for most of the morning; no crashes. So, Spitfire will be updating this fix to Labs at some point (I do not know when). C2

  45. So, I had a chance to get a quick play on this and it really does sound wonderful. I keep asking myself;” ok another Mosaic Series, what could they possibly do?” Annnnd they always seem to do something that surprises you. I am hoping to get on stream soon to share it so be on the lookout for that. Also there are additional discounts for owners of previously released Mosaic Series libraries.

  46. It's amazing when you look through change logs what proportion of time is spent supporting Apple issues. It makes you wonder what kind of cool stuff the developers could come up with if they didn't have to waste that time supporting Apple's changes.
