  1. One-time 35% discount using code PSPMC35OFF during checkout. Ends tonight. https://www.pspaudioware.net/UserArea/store/view E.g., I got PSP BinAmp for $26.68 I'm not sure why but the PSP store applied a "volume discount" in addition to other discounts, even though I purchased a single item. Maybe it got confused? I was adding and removing items while I was finding out that the 35% off does not apply to crossgrades. Anyway, a nice price for BinAmp after stacking the intro pricing plus the discount.

  2. https://www.synful.com/ The demos sound quite nice, I haven't tried it yet. Apparently it's some sort or synthesis method instead of samples. Used to cost a few hundred bucks.

  3. The deal expires on August 8th at 23:59:59 (Italian time) SpringVerb is an algorithmic reverb plugin that recreates the physical interactions of a spring reverb. This kind of reverb is very peculiar since it’s obtained through electro-mechanic stimulation of springs at different tension, this movement is then converted back into electrical signal by some pickup. https://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-springverb/

  4. I think the whole premise of the question is kinda flawed here. The assumption is that you need EQ, compression or a bunch of effects in order to mix a song. This may turn out to be true in the end, but the assumption that you need to EQ all your tracks is starting out on the wrong foot IMO. EQ and compression should be viewed as problem solvers, i.e.: EQ - to make space in tracks so they don't clash with other ones and allow each part to be heard; remove frequencies that are problematic or too dominant Compression - reduce dynamic range to give a more even performance and/or add punch; add glue to the mix bus Start off with just using the faders and pan knobs to create a good balance. Then listen. Only then use EQ and/or compression where it's needed.

  7. Same here. Reaper is not my daily go to, but I have great respect for its low footprint/fast install, elegant track design (it's whatever you want it to be), no need for MIcrosoft C++ libraries and the active theme community.

  13. Neural amp modeler is an open source Amp capture program (much like ToneX and some reports suggest even more accurate). There are free amp profiles out now, and a few people even make paid packs for it. Thus adding it to the program means we can get amp profiles along with meldas own turbo amp creations. And profiling with all the effects Melda has seems like candyland. https://www.neuralampmodeler.com/

  15. Love Reaper, I’ve tried so many other DAWs and always come back to Reaper because it just does absolutely anything you want it to (with a script here or there when required). Agree the interface is uninspiring but I’m so used to it now I don’t even bother with skins, default skin is absolutely fine for me.

  19. Plus scripting interfaces for several languages, third party stuff other than themes, stability and the great videos to get you started. All included, thus cheap as hell for a beginner just starting out. I got it in 2017. 60 bucks until now. Not a bad deal. But I went to Studio One for my main mixing work for exactly the reasons listed above.

  20. Everybody is different - I prefer a utilitarian interface with low resource requirements. I do use a third party theme for REAPER, but mostly because I prefer flat, dark UIs, but this is also entirely subjective.

  22. Kemper (using Rig Manager) is a similar scenario. There are thousands of Profiles that sound terrible. I hear the new "Liquid Profiles"... with modeled Tone Stacks sound excellent. Pretty amazing coming from a 12+ year-old piece of hardware. FWIW, I didn't get ToneX to browse thru other peoples Captures. I got ToneX to Capture my own amps/pedals. IK should update ToneX so it can run multiple Captures simultaneously. ie: It would be great to run an Amp/Cab Capture... with a separate drive/boost Capture. If you use ToneX within Amplitube 5, it's a lot more flexible.

  26. That's why I lately purchased a Marshall Studio Classic, remembering the great sound of the JCM800 that I once owned. And it did not disappoint me, they still make great amps! I still prefer real amps over simulations, but YMMV!

  40. Aren't they all a little early to celebrate 808 day? 🤔 ADSR has plenty of 808-related offers: https://www.adsrsounds.com/software-developer/limited-time-bundle/ Like this little gem from Black Octopus, if you like buying sample packs: https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/presets/black-octopus-bundle-808-day-8-packs-for-8/ 8 packs for just €8.65. Probably among the cheapest items you can buy on ADSR to get the freebie.

  41. Now that I have the Everything Bundle I've only tested a tiny fraction of all the new presets, but so far I like quite a lot of the presets. I added almost every preset from Bluffmunkey's expansions for Synthmaster 1 to my favs. Big Tone's Analog Basics 1 and 2 for Synthmaster 2 has plenty of gems. So true. The demo tracks and descriptions give quite a good impression of the expansions, since they're only made of those presets, except for the drums usually. What I like about the expansion demo tracks that they have on Soundcloud is that quite a lot of them have the names of the presets that were used in the track comments, assigned to the track timeline where they're used. That's astonishingly little. Have you really tested all presets? After having read what you wrote I had another look at the factory presets and actually found quite a lot usable. There's a Soundcloud playlist and a YouTube playlist with demos of the factory presets that they've made for Synthmaster 2, with tracks demonstrating their use across various genres: Expansion playlist on Soundcloud for Synthmaster 2: Expansion playlist on Soundcloud for Synthmaster 1:

  42. I did this with Dandy in one of my videos, but this shows you how you can just play chords and get a combined bass and guitar part. See how much fun this is? In terms of forum rules: I have never made one cent from my YouTube videos and don't expect that to ever happen. (There is a tech problem and YouTube offers no customer service to fix it) I have spent thousands of dollars and hours on my videos. I do them now for the love of it, and out of the hope I've helped a few people.
