If it's in your Waves Central account, (IOW, showing in Waves Central app), then it's registered. You can have different plugins "activated" on different devices. Some on the computer your using, some on a usb stick, some on another computer located half way around the world. Activated means (afa Waves plugins) you can use it on that "device". And that "device" can be a computer HD, a USB stick, or Waves cloud. Your choice. It's actuallly a good system. Other than only allowing one Activation per product.

I'm so glad that I never heavily invested in Waves plugins!

Please beg Andy to "go into deep technical jargon". Inquiring minds want to know. What Cakewalk config file would a plugin be reading? And how could reading a text file cause .net to blow up anyway?

I will never buy a subscription to Waves or any other plugin company. It is too important for me to be able to open a session 1, 5 or 10 years later without needing to worry about am I subscribed to this plugin company anymore.

I’ve been driving into this bundle. It’s really something for someone like me. Even though I have some of the most exquisite comps (like the FabFilter and Slate ones) I really dig the simplicity of this “pure” series. And don’t see them as “one knob” plugins like the Waves ones. These sonible plugins are more akin to what iZotope does, but simplified. Everything AI happens behind the curtains. Genius in a tiny package.

Full to spilling out the ears some days. I used to play piano for the residents at the facility where my dad lived in the months leading up to his death. They were a great audience. I haven't seen a roomful of people so into the music since the 60's when it was not unusual for an entire audience to be on LSD. Or to have such an appreciation for pudding.

While sh**ty, I'm sure the current confusion is benefiting Waves by people upgrading or purchasing licenses before the deadline. So I'm not expecting clarification until afterward the deadline.

I once smoked some weed that was so ridiculously OP that I forgot how to put on socks. No kidding. By the next morning, however, that particular skill had returned to me. My father, his sister, his mother and my mother's mother all died from Alzheimer's, so it's a real concern that I may have a genetic ticking bomb in my brain. I panic any time I forget a song lyric, thinking "oh sh*t, this is how it starts". The other day I spent hours fretting that I couldn't remember the word "curate". I tried to console myself by reminding myself that it's not a word I use every day - but then freaked out all over again when I realized that I could not remember the last time I'd used it, or even in what context. Maybe if I used it in a song lyric...it does, after, all rhyme with many easy-to-remember words such as oblate, satiate, inundate and exfoliate. I take comfort in the fact that my maternal grandfather, who everyone says I'm a carbon copy of, died suddenly from heart failure. In lieu of a meteorite, that would be my preference.

Maybe there is hope they will actually give us the 53 bassman that was at the center of the launch videos. But odd they would release something new when those profiles are clearly already sitting around somewhere.

If only. The registers in my brain that get accessed and overwritten a lot like "location of key ring" started to develop bad sectors as early as high school. At this point in my life, most of the "location of [item needed in everyday life]" sectors seem to be nearly shot. It's said that if you want to know what is really important to you (vs. what you say or even believe is important to you), look at the activities you spend the most time doing every day. By that criterion, what is most important to me is "looking for my other sock," "looking for my other shoe," and "looking for my phone." The phone is down in 3rd place only because it has an app that allows me to command it to beep from multiple other devices. Other life passions include "looking for something to write with," "looking for something to write on," and "looking for my reading glasses." It's good to have many things that drive you.

Hey, watch it, I'm a Californian! 😄 I like to reduce the impact on the natural environment wherever practical, I think it's good for everyone. One of the things I like about TruOil is its negligible toxicity and environmental impact. It's made from natural, renewable resources and you can wipe the stuff on with your fingers if you want to (although not recommended, it's kinda sticky). The idiocy around TruOil likely comes down to how it's distributed and marketed rather than some clueless person targeting it specifically. Someone somewhere in the supply chain had to classify it, so they put down "firearm care" or whatever, and whoosh, it's "gun paraphernalia." And therefore dangerous, OMG🙄. And/or possibly the retailer and/or shipping company having a policy (at the request of law enforcement or otherwise) of taking note of whoever they send anything gun related to. So they can profile people who might someday take their Mother of Tinkertoy Tele to school and start bonking people with it. A note for guitarists on further usefulness of gun paraphernalia: when I was doing amp repair, I went to a gun shop to buy TruOil for a guitar finishing project and noticed that the wire brushes used for barrel cleaning would be perfect for cleaning out dirty 1/4" amp input jacks, and output jacks on guitars. At the moment I can't recall which caliber works the best, a bit of research would do it. Remember that the sleeve diameter of those jacks is greater than 1/4". Otherwise, it's really tough to clean the sleeve. A spin with the barrel brush and contact is restored. Try it on a dirty jack and see if it helps.
