Glad youโre fixed Grem๐. Not sure if I fixed Syner in the preferred way, but I didnโt use new zip files or run IKPM again to fix it. Just copied the contents of the extra folder into the folder where it should have been, and then deleted the extra folder itself. Worked.4 points

Thanks to all who have helped. By a stroke of genius, I figured it out. No I am not going to tell... it was that simple!! : )4 points

I would recommend downloading SYN2_Syner-V_Part_3.zip and SYN2_Syner-V_Part_4.zip from IKM and replacing the malformed versions of those file if you are keeping an archive of the S2 sound files. That way you won't have to go through this mess again if you ever have to reinstall S2.2 points

If this not easy enough to understand, let me know, I'll elaborate with clearer instructions.2 points

I've long been baffled by people coming to the Cakewalk By BandLab forum seeking help with such things as SONAR 8.3. The OP wins a prize for taking it to a new level. Have you taken a look at this:2 points

I think the point of heckling XLN is that they seem to be lagging behind the competition, such as Toontrack, which regularly keeps releasing expansions and MIDI packs for their products. I'm not going to bash XLN's existing products, as I have always liked Addictive Drums and Keys. High quality stuff! But something new once in a while would keep them front and center.2 points

Love it. Still a bit spensif compared to the SSL ones. Those have no Adat (which I donโt think I need) and are made in China.2 points

And I suppose that in the past quarter century of MIDI sequencer evolution, every time you've tried out something newer, you deemed it inferior because you couldn't immediately work as efficiently with it as you can with Pro 3? Your old tool has finally broken. You must learn to use a newer one. Choose a current program, and allow whatever length of time it initially took you to get that good. Cakewalk still has an Event List, and my guess is that it's the feature that's changed the least in 30 years.1 point

A young Naval Officer was in a terrible car accident, but due to the heroics of the hospital staff the only permanent injury was the loss of one ear. Since he wasn't physically impaired he remained in the military and eventually became an Admiral. However, during his career he was always sensitive about his appearance. One day the Admiral was interviewing two Navy Master Chiefs and a Marine Sergeant Major to add to his personal staff. The first Master Chief was a Surface Navy type and it was a great interview. At the end of the interview the Admiral asked him, "Do you notice anything different about me?" The Master Chief answered, "Why yes. I couldn't help but notice you are missing your starboard ear, so I don't know whether this impacts your hearing on that side." The Admiral got very angry at this lack of tact and threw him out of his office. The next candidate, an Aviation Master Chief, when asked this same question, answered, "Well yes, you seem to be short one ear." The Admiral threw him out also. The third interview was with the Marine Sergeant Major. He was articulate, extremely sharp, and seemed to know more than the two Master Chiefs put together. The Admiral wanted this guy, but went ahead with the same question. "Do you notice anything different about me?" To his surprise the Sergeant Major said, "Yes, Sir. You wear contact lenses." The Admiral was impressed and thought to himself, what an incredibly tactful Marine. "And how do you know that?" the Admiral asked. The Sergeant Major replied, "Well sir, it's pretty hard to wear glasses with only one freakin' ear." ๐1 point

The Syner-V installer has a known problem with placing part of the installed sample content into an extra sub-folder under the Syner-V samples folder. Just copy/move it into the correct place and you will be good to go. I've already fixed mine, so I don't have a picture to share. Study another synths folder structure, then compare that to Syner-V's folder. You should spot a difference!1 point

Yep! I bet my lungs look like I was a pack-a-day smoker even though I've never smoked (played darts in smoky bars for decades and saw lots of live bands in same). Here's Walter Trout's Artic White Strat that I took a picture of when it needed a string change!1 point

I've been watching "The Story of Top of the Pops" in the 1990s on the BBC over the last few weeks. It does a good job of highlighting the diversity of music in the UK charts.
