I just registered SampleTron after buying it in the Custom Shop for 200 Gear Credits and nothing happened. Was expecting game show announcer "You've won 11 IK Multimedia products of $199 or less" The Group Buy available items did show right up in Promotions.6 points

I am already scraping the bottom of the barrel. All I have left is a few SampleTank libraries. What I really need is a group buy to add extra hours to the day so I can play with my new toys.5 points

It’s like people that drive painfully slow who upon seeing a yellow light always accelerate at last minute to cross intersection. Never fails. Inevitably those of us behind them get stuck at red light because had they been driving like normal people everyone would’ve made it through. So lesson is, don’t wait until last minute or your yellow light, just buy and we’ll all make it through Welcome to philosophical Monday’s, a new series on this thread haha4 points

Looks like this new Arturia emulation will arrive in October… Arturia is reportedly working on a soft synth based on the Ensoniq SQ-80 https://www.musictech.net/news/gear/arturia-reportedly-working-ensoniq-sq-80-v-soft-synth-emulation/?utm_source=hootsuite&utm_medium=&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_campaign=3 points

Hello everybody. When exporting to mp3, can you make it so that an additional window with mp3 settings does not open, but that the settings are present in the main export window? Sorry for google translation.3 points

https://www.antarestech.com/auto-key-mobile/ curently only available for IOS (android coming soon) but it’s free to use to detect key. If you own Antares auto-tune plugins it can sync with your desktop/laptop and send the key information to your plug-in which is pretty cool.2 points

Didn’t want to gloss past what Simeon mentioned. Unify v1.6 was just released with some nice new features including getting rid of duplicate plugins…2 points

Picked Acoustic is one of my favorite libraries in Komplete Ultimate, so I got this. My calculation is that I got it for $75 with the voucher and I'll try to sell it for $50 when I upgrade. That has worked out on all the libraries I've bought early but Mallets Flux, and there's always the possibility that it will sell someday. My first impression is that I still like the original Picked Acoustic more. I did a piece recently, and I could have used either one, but I went for Picked Acoustic. But that may just because I know all the libraries on that one so well. There are some new things in the Nylon that are really inspiring and I know I will be making some music with it.2 points

Yes all bounce operations including bounce to clip will use the same buffer setting since it is global. This week we are adding the buffer size choice to the bounce dialog as well so it can be changed from there as well.2 points

Thanks for putting your thoughts down. This thread is exclusively to discuss issues specific to the 09 release. Most of your points do not apply here so please make different threads for them. Also when reporting issues it’s much better if they are put one per post otherwise it makes it difficult for us to follow and respond to. There was an issue with notes dropping out that was fixed in the build posted on Friday. Please make sure that you are testing with the latest build I posted which is build 114. (Linked in the first post of this thread) If you are still seeing a problem in build 114, please specify exactly what steps you take to select the data to export and what plugins are present, etc. Also providing a test project will help. Bugs are fixed quite rapidly if we can reproduce them. Export buffer size is no different from your playback buffer size except that it allows changing it without requiring the user to change the audio interface buffer each time. Also it allows values much higher than most audio interfaces will allow. Changing buffer sizes (often referred to as latency) is something that every DAW user has learned to do. I’ve explained this many times in this same thread but there is no one size fits all setting that is universally best for everyone so its an advanced option that can be changed. The universal option is already the default which is to follow the same size as the audio latency. There is no math required to change buffer size. The advantage with large export buffer sizes is that it uses less CPU and can make your exports run faster. However exactly like audio latency there can be downsides in rare cases if you have plugins that are not coded properly to deal with large buffers so its up to the user to check. Also when using large buffers with plugin parameter automation many plugins only process changes at buffer boundaries so you can get aliasing in these cases. The export buffer size has been available for about 15 years but was only available to change globally as an ini variable called BounceBufferSizeMs that most users didn’t know about so we expose it to make it more convenient to use since it has significant benefits in many cases. If you are getting crashes the report must include a minidump file.2 points

This is the theme I composed for a six hour live rpg played on radio and streamed online here in Finland. I am very pleased how this one turned out and how it worked. I also designed the ambient sounds for it. Eventually the ambiences had over 450 channels of audio and I got to use my kids as screaming tentacled space monsters....1 point

I'm kind of obsessed with the Hammond B3 so I bought the AmpliTube Leslie and later the B-3X from the regular store upon introduction. I'm going to transfer those to a nephew and get them again through the Group Buy. If you're scraping the bottom of the barrel it only cost you $20 to give (or sell) straight licenses (not from bundles) to someone.1 point

I seem to recall a 3gb cowbell UVI did as a freebie a few years back. Actually was pretty nice….as cowbells go. I want the one sampled that Lennon sang over in “ You Can’t Do That”, perhaps packaged with the CCR one from “Down on the Corner”😁1 point

I agree with this, the average quality of hardware is deplorable these days. I gladly pay more for quality, because you know how the sayings go; "the poor man can't afford to buy cheap" because "buy cheap, buy twice". Low quality tools make me really angry. I'm cautious to buy anything that Jordan Rudess promotes, the man is so skilled and charismatic that whenever he shows up I deem it false-advertising. He could probably play scales on a triangle and make me buy one, and only when I open the box I remember how much I hate triangles.1 point

At the old forum there were instructions to create a custom icon in a template: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Startgt-New-From-Template-Custom-Icons-m3415439.aspx 1) Create a .png image at the Project Template folder (100x100 aprox) - Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Project Templates 2) Save the template with the same name as the image 3) The image can be deleted. It will be embedded at the template That doesn't seem to work with Bandlab. Has the procedure changed?1 point
