  3. I think that was to be expected after it got to 10,000 ? There's probably lots of other variables to consider too - day of the week - end of the month (payday for some) etc etc We'll see another bump nearer the end of the GB I suspect I suppose the way to look at it is that anything else going forward is a bonus (glass is half full )

  4. Quick feedback on the above. The 500GB EVO Plus I ordered didn't arrive till yesterday, and I just cloned/installed it (the PN from the above article only works on the 1TB model, so I blew it off and not sure if the article above also applies to the 500GB model anyway). The old drive was a WD Black 256 GB, but was throwing security errors (if rebooting, but not from a cold boot) and the Recovery partition was 453MB/500MB which was flagging it red in Macrium Reflect. I have two M.2 slots so pulled the F drive and used that as the clone slot. Cloned with Macrium Reflect and bumped up the Recovery partition to 1GB, and the Main partition to fill the rest of the drive. This video shows how to clone/reset partition size (I time stamped it at the partition size part if anyone is interested). Be sure to power down/unplug the machine when swapping any hardware! Swapped drives, put the F back in and booted to the UEFI. Fast Boot was enabled, so disabled that (to ensure nothing was remembered from last boot), and the boot was already set to the new EVO Plus. Restarted and the machine ran identical as with the old drive (so far nothing has asked to re-register, etc.). Now to the benchmarks. Samsung's Magician won't benchmark competitor drives anymore (used to), so could only test those two drives. C Drive: 970 EVO Plus - Sequential Read: 3494 MB/s, Write: 3065 MB/s, Random Read: 125,732 IOPS, Write: 105,468 IOPS F: 970 EVO (NOT Plus) was in x2 Mode - Sequential Read: 1764 MB/s, Write: 1707 MB/s, Random Read: 132,080 IOPS, Write: 111,572 IOPS Didn't realize that drive was in x2 till the benchmark, so went back into UEFI and set to x4 mode (disables SATA 5/6 connections) F: 970 EVO (NOT Plus) in x4 Mode - Sequential Read: 3502 MB/s, Write: 2536 MB/s, Random Read: 134,033 IOPS, Write: 115,478 IOPS Bottom line: even in X4 mode, the EVO is not noticeably faster than the EVO Plus in the main drive slot and was actually slower for sequential writes. That WD Black 256GB was actually a bonus item when I built the machine, and not exceptional to begin with. I may consider that one the "first SSD I toasted," since running SFC/DISM checks the past few months was throwing repairable errors.

  5. i remember there was one year when there was a 25 year anniversary IK GB and i bought 10 plugins as freebies that i already owned. And whatever this guy Larry would post i would go and buy after walking 10 miles in the snow, through a tornado, and installing into a 2TB SSD which was really big back then. Those were the good old days.

  10. Well, that didn't take long... found a forum where someone posted an image from an early version of the EZBass manual where they listed the keyswitches. (I cannot find this page in the current manual.) So, I made a quick list from the image: A-1 Polyphony (hold). Disable legato A#-1 Harmonic (hold) Play harmonics B-1 Slap/Pop (hold) Play slap sound if available. C0 Not used C#0 Middle Finger/Down Stroke. Play only middle finger/downstroke (no alteration) D0 Repeater (press) Repeat the last played note D#0 Loud Mute (press). Repeat the last played note as a percussive mute E0 Ghost note (press). Repeat the last played note as a ghost note F0 Slide (press and hold). Slide currently playing note to the next note played G0 Slide Up (press). Slide currently playing note up. G#0 Legato (hold). Enable legato.

  12. I purchased my 2nd Group Buy entry today and I was just installing all the new software. Something that I want to give thanks for is the IK Installation Manager. It has worked really well and it makes a tremendous difference in the installation and authorization process compared to how cumbersome it used to be a couple of years ago

  16. A new EA build has been posted that includes fixes for several reported issues and numerous improvements. Please check it out and report back if you encounter any problems. In particular please look at the new export folder source category and the improved handling of aux tracks and sidechains when exporting or soloing tracks. Anyone who had issues with soft synths or tempo changes not rendering properly please check out this build. @Terry Kelley hopefully your problems with the last beta should be resolved. @Promidi @chimkin2 does the folder export and improved sidechain handling cover your requirements? Happy labor day weekend!

  20. Generally I agree with the gist of what you're saying, and I hate the oppressive atmosphere of our contemporary culture with its hypervigilantism about words and real or imagined - or sometimes just IMAGINABLE - connotations. But I also have to agree with Reid here. This sort of talk typically starts rather innocently but before you know it all the chicks are gone and you wonder why. Because a once mature, undiscriminating and non-sexist hangout gradually, without any actual malice involved, transformed into a "bro" nest. It doesn't take genuine sexism or misogyny, only a series of slight prods into a direction where similar speech mannerisms become normalized. I know it's a joke, but a random bypasser and potential future participant has no reason to presume so, because real sexism and misogyny exist and quacks just like that other duck.

  26. Man.. i am really hoping some reseller puts MODO Bass on sale somewhere. That is the only way I would consider jumping in on this GB again at a higher level. They had MODO SE for $40 at beginning on GB and then nothing since. 😞

  28. A new build has been posted today Sept 4 2021 which addresses a serious issue. We recommend updating to this build to avoid unexpected crashes with realtime bounce. Bugs Fixed: Bouncing or exporting audio in real time could cause a crash or unexpected behavior in some projects due to a race condition.

  29. Really impressed with harvest. Being able to lock some notes on the harvest grid and use DAW automation to trigger the randomization of non-locked notes from a user selected pool of notes with weighted probability, along with rests with their own probability setting (which can be baked into the pattern), is very sweet.

  30. Now that i have had a chance to play around with this, I'll throw in some comments. First, a fair amount of the content requires Maschine. It comes with about 14 projects for Maschine, a few drum synth sounds and a few things from their drum kit. However, there are also around 200 samples, 3 Battery Kits, 17 FM 8 presets, 20 Guitar Rig 6 presets, 31 Massive Sounds, 14 Massive X presets, and 27 Monark presets. The FM 8 sounds are perfectly useable but not ground breaking. The guitar rig presets are broken into 2 groups. Jamie Lidell contributed 10 patches which are tagged for use with drums. One of them I found interesting because it had an LFO set to modify the delay parameters so that the first beat in a measure had this weird flangy thing to it. Very clever, although I think I might want to change the modulation to have this fire on the 2 and 4. The other group was a set of Guitar and Bass patches by Phase Queen. Overall I thought these needed to tame some of the reverb and have some other minor tweaks. However, I thought the Antarctica and Other Voices patches had some potential. The Massive sounds were above average. As I have said before and will say again, I have never been crazy about OG Massive, so this is actually effusive praise. The Massive X sounds, on the other hand, were quite disappointing. I never really got on with the original version of the synth. I always felt like it took a lot of work to make it not sound buzzy and uninspiring. However, I instantly took to Massive X. I made more patches in the first month with Massive X than I did with the OG version in the previous 10 years. I have countless "bonus" Massive patches that vendors included with sample packs that exist only so the vendor can say"100 Massive patches included" That's the feeling I get when previewing the Massive X patches in this library. There are also a few Monark presets included, mostly deep bass patches.

  34. kudos to PA for reactivating these. I knew I couldn't get upset about not being able to combine a deep discount sale with an additional coupon, but telling users their browser settings must be wrong after they disabled all the vouchers on their end didn't seem great. Even though that was probably just support following a script and not anything purposeful.
