  5. The new presets will transform your chords into nice piano melodies. With a few clicks, you can turn any chords into soothing ballads, rhythmic breaks, and realistic backing melodies. The presets work for many different genres, including contemporary hip hop, ballads, pop, rock, chillout, EDM, and house. Oh, and of course you can export the generated melodies via drag and drop to your DAW as standard MIDI files. You can download the new package here: https://feelyoursound.com/packages/the-piano-sessions/

Share the stage during my thank you speech? The marketing hyberbole with some of these companies is astounding....

  10. After you install DO NOT FREAK OUT! You will see that your LABS programs aren't showing... there is now a LABS "Tab" at the top. Just select that and you'll see the LABS installations! (I almost had a heart attack...LOL, as I thought I was going to have to redo everything!)

  11. Peter, thanks for the response! Always appreciate your efforts to bring a better experience to the user community here! With all due respect, I realize your time is limited, so I will recap the conclusion we reached in this thread regarding the main topic: the issue with Syntronik multis in ST4. We used the official ST4 installers, and they are all present and accounted for. With one quirk. They install the Syntronik multis by default with ascending MIDI channel numbers for the individual multi parts. i.e., ch 1, 2, 3, & 4. I have installed the latest multis and instrument sounds. We can only get to where we need to be by manually editing the Syntronik multis for use by ST4, setting all parts back to MIDI channel 1. In comparison, the Syntronik multis when used in ST3, are installed with all parts using MIDI ch 1. That is the only way that the multis can work correctly out of the box, with all parts responding on the same channel to the same MIDI controller. But by default, using the the same multi within ST4 results in only part #1 playing, while the rest remain silent, because they are not assigned to MIDI ch 1. The multis can be manually edited to achieve this, but that really shouldn't be necessary. I am as surprised by this as you might be right now, as these multis have been available for some time. I hadn't noticed this quirk until @David Baay pointed it out. The other multis (non-Syntronik) supplied with ST4 appear to be correct, at least as far as the ones I've looked at. Perhaps folks are still mainly using the Syntronik UI for these multis, I don't know. Steps to recreate the issue: 1. Start SampleTank 4. 2. Open any Syntronik Multi. 3. Only the first part, assigned to MIDI ch 1, will respond (assuming that your controller is sending on ch 1).

  13. Yes, but if you're new to SampleTank 4 with the new free SampleTank 4 CS (in which this runs) it is quite a deal for a very useful suite of different categories of synth sounds.

  14. If you're going after accuracy, this story (posted on our site) comes to mind : We basically modeled the circuit so precisely that we also recreated a fault that should really only typically happen with actual hardware... At least it wasn't what old-school computer folks call HACF error (Halt And Catch Fire - this acronym from early computing days is why that TV show is named the same way).

  16. You can always use a midi track and open up the Event List and insert a MCI cmd. In the data box for MCI cmd type either ‘pause’ ( to pause at that point of the song) or ‘stop’ (to stop and rewind to the now time) . Use spacebar to un pause or restart. Fairly recent addition to the event list, and a welcome one. 😄

  27. +1 to Larry's comment. I have never seen you play like that before Simeon! I am glad that you only "set fire" to it in a metaphorical way though! Really enjoying the sounds in this thing. So awe inspiring - probably one of my favourite purchases in recent times.

  39. I'm an old coot. when I was 19 I worked on the testing floor among PDP-11s and vt-100 terminals. There was SCO unix running on one box and it seemed necessary then for it to be verbose about all it's doings upon startup and shutdown. You know, screens of daemons and services coming to life and being killed . The file system ran out of ram so it could service all those vt-100 terminals with a measure of speed, but oh don't you loose power or you'll have lost and scrambled inodes with only an fsck to fix it. This required a fighter pilot. OK that was 1979 ish, so it was ok. Here I am in 2020 and linux still likes to show you it's daemons upon start and stop which just for starters will put off just about any normal person. And the when it looses juice it still corrupts it's file system and it still takes a fighter pilot to go sudo su fsck /dev/sdc0 put in the password, be admonished about inodes, know how to respond etc. Windows doesn't like to be kicked either but it by and large can repair ntfs by itself. I know a guy who is one of these linux guys to be a linux guy. - I agree with the Charlie Brown great punpkin analogy. Computers and phones are like cars or ratchet wrenches. We expect to just use em without thinking or fanfare. Linux guys, well I just don't know. It's still that "scary" unix.

  42. Wookiee speaks (!) ---- or ----- sings and doggone good it is. Let's have some more of that. This also strikes me as a Pink Floyd sounding song. Psychedelic, a bit dark, and yes , experimental. I think that this song really demonstrates your ability to reach into new areas and come up with some great music. Nice one!!!!

  43. Compliments of BayouBill 'Hellman's mayonnaise used to be made in England. Back in 1912 the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars for delivery in Mexico. Vera Cruise I believe. Mexico's largest import of mayonnaise ever. The Titanic hit an iceberg in the north Atlantic and sank with all that mayonnaise. It was so devastating to Mexico the date was declared a holiday and day of mourning which occurs annually on 5 may and is known as Sinko De Mayo'
