  1. Looks like PSP Classics Modular Collection and PSP nitroModular Collection are currently free on the Cherry Audio Store (it has the word demo in the titles, but it looks like they're the complete products since the individual products show as owned after adding the collection to my account and not in the demo section in my account): PSP Classics Modular Collection MSRP: $175.00 PSP nitroModular Collection MSRP: $235.00 Modular itself has been free for a while. Also, there's quite a bit of free modules (sort by price). Also, there are a few modules that are currently on sale for free: Countdown Loop Diffuser Remote MSRP: $2 RGB Notes Panel MSRP: $2 116A Poly Stereo Output Amp MSRP: $4.99 Serial-Function Oscillator Expander MSRP: $1 Axis MSRP: $7.50 BCI KString MSRP: $5

  2. If I wasn't holding out for TS 4 I would have jumped on this at $69.99 with my Jampoints, but I've learned that doing that is just throwing money away...especially with IK

  12. This is an incredible deal. I made a video about Soundweaver once. If you're trying to do unique sound design--it is easy on this. It's actually a more professional tool than I need--I lean towards quick-and-dirty sound design solutions like Tsugi. But I was knocked out by it. This sale will make me go back and check it out again.

  16. so basically what i do with EZBass midi is I throw a rhythm midi pattern at it and then use it to find comparable patterns in its library. once i find something i like, i reduce complexity completely and then export that midi to another track and use it with a bass part idea usually with a synth of some sort. it generates much better bass parts than my doing it on my own as i am primarily a guitar player and not a bass player -- so my entire approach to parts does not come from someone firmly rooted in playing bass in a band.

  17. Remove and forget about generic ASIO drivers regardless of where they come from. All a generic driver is doing is adding another layer of software between the actual audio driver (MME, WGM or WASAPI) and the DAW causing the DAW to believe it is communicating with an ASIO driver. This is completely unnecessary with CbB. WRT, ASIO drivers being disabled in CbB preferences. Only one ASIO driver may be used at a time. To change ASIO drivers, deselect both input and output before making a new selection.

  18. They run on modern Apple OS do they not? They simply don't take advantage of specific processors added abilities, which make up a fraction of the market. They also dropped support for Win7 and older Mac's OS, does that make them abandonware? There are more machines out there running those than M1 orM2. If a plugin works it shouldn't need updates. 50 is also resizable.

  19. I love it! It definitely does have a fatter, warmer tone to it. But I'm still glad I have the e-instruments W because it has that key clang that I also love. So I do feel I am good for a long time when it comes to Wurlies. Between these two libraries, I feel a lot of ground is covered. So thanks @Craig N and @Bad Penguin. You guys had excellent advice. And I'm seriously thinking we all need this next:

  25. So, this was pretty good for me. There were 9 plugs that were nice to have and with their progressive discounts I got them all for $103.98, quite a far cry from the $799 they want to give me everything. Given that there are 13 items I 'never' want and besides Kirchhoff EQ (which I'll get in Dec via Forever29) I own 151 of their plugs. If I get one new plugin each month from Forever29 I'll be reasonably happy. So, for now I'll be keeping my Forever29.

  26. I still have this one. Call me crazy (you'd have many reasons to, not just this one) but, once in a blue moon, some sounds in there just seem to fit in a mix (it's mostly the Vox I think). I wouldn't say that they are a tenth as true to the original as newer simulations, but in some rare cases, they just seem to work and to sit in a mix perfectly. For me, anyway. That's reason enough to cling to it as far as I am concerned. I actually sold my POD 1 to a friend in 2006 when I started working with software sims a bit more but regretted it a few years later. I grabbed this 2.0 form a guy in NY in 2011.

  27. And I wish I could still play (I don't mean play stuff for 3 minutes by myself and making terrible recordings I mean really play again with musicians, like you do; I lived to play). But now you've also set me up for the TANGET OF THE DAY and OVERSHARE OF THE DAY. I love that set up. Man, I would love it if you shared some audio -- either in the thread or just PM me. We had a Leslie speaker -- but the sad part, it wasn't hooked up to a Hammond but a Gulbransen organ (we didn't have a lot of money). But I loved that Leslie and it has a similar emotional connection when I hear it to the Wurli 200A. Okay, it's blues, but I self-financed college by playing drums (okay, that didn't pay dirt), and working selling printing -- and a lot of my customers were indie record labels out of Chicago. One of them was really special to me, Alligator Records, a legendary blues label. And I would get invited to their Christmas parties and I'd hang out with my contact, who was the bassist for Lonnie Brooks Band (a late great blues artist) and got to chat with these legends I adored like Lonnie Brooks and Koko Taylor. True story and not very complementary to me. I was at a club to see Lonnie play and Lonnie walks up to the bar and we're chatting and he said. "Hey, Peter, how about buying your favorite bluesman a drink?" And I was in college and money was tight and I said, "I would love to, but I know that you get your drinks here for free." Lonnie replied, "You're right, but you'll never get to say that you bought your favorite bluesman a drink." And guess what, I didn't buy him a drink. Stupid young me! That story would be soooo much better. But I was practical! Oh well, Lonnie knew I loved him. But on the day Lonnie died (around 5 years ago), I thought of what Lonnie said to me and it struck me how true his point was and instead for the rest of my days I have to tell the story how I was to cheap to buy a legendary bluesman a drink.

  28. eh, may not be my best bf purchase, but picked up The Ton and Classics bundle, minus the recent $10 gc for $308. Just enough for the freebie Aperture Cassette Symphony. 12 new toys at an average cost of $25 each. I guess I could do worse . . .

  29. Because of @Craig N and @Bad Penguin, instead of hanging out with my family, I'm spending time trying to clear 4GB of space on one of my 3 filled hard drives to install Skybox's EP145B. I have sooooo many KONTAKT sample libraries. Okay, now that I'm saying that, it sounds terrible. I'll stop and come back later. I am really glad I got that this library -- which sounds great in the demos, but you guys were what really persuaded me (peer pressure???) and honestly, everything I was checking out from this dev just sounds so cool. I just like the vibe of the site and their libraries. It was great to be able to pick this up for only $35USD and I rationalized what I think is probably my 13th or so commercial library by thinking to myself this is a different model than the rest I have (which are all 200As).

  44. I could say 'fixed that for you' but I won't 😇 . I've owned the Waves PRS collection since release day, probably have only used them once since then just to confirm or deny my original opinion of them. Opinion confirmed 😁 I won't say YMMV, because it obviously does, as a HUGE Waves fan I truly am glad to see that 👍 I have all the IR Loaders mentioned in this thread plus a few more, settling long ago on Recabinet 5, followed up with Redwirez mixIR2 and mixIR3, with OVERLOUDs SuperCabinet coming on the scene later on. For SuperCabinet you are basically running TH-U as a glorified IR Loader, only having SuperCabinet loaded, it works great, but I only use it when I want to use its proprietary cab IRs, the Jensen's are super sweet. It can of course load other 3rd party IRs if desired. Apart from the infrequent use of some Rig Player Libraries, that's all TH-U gets used for. Apart from TONEX I mainly use Amplitube 5 which for me doesn't require 3rd party IRs, the first and 1 and only thus far, TONEX aside, everything else I have personally found 3rd party IRs to be a must. [Edit] except for Melda IR compatible stuff, I haven't used any of them, I don't use Melda stuff, I value my eyesight to much 😎
