He has more than enough thoughts about IK and is happy to share them but he's not a jerk toward me personally even if I may have taken it that way just that one time or two.

And someone doesn't know what we have or don't have, we haven't released everything yet... And of course we don't have YOUR holy grail which is why I hope I said some holy grail gear because there are multiple and we have some. We already bought and modeled a holy grail mastering EQ, we have the rare 1953 Bassman from the video and that's not even what I was talking about, and some one-of-a-kind gear that nobody else has (one of our T-RackS models is one, but that's not the only one-of-a-kind item we have). I'm glad you're happy with what you have and consider the holy grail for your needs and who you know etc but I was just saying that you don't know what we have and got a bit abrasive about it which I thought was a bit much. Sorry, but I'm known to speak openly here and I'm sure you're a great person and obviously knowledgeable but you came at me a bit hard there, no? Anyway, I can't wait to release more of the great gear from our private amp vault. Edit - lo and behold I did say "some holy grail gear"... I'm sorry that seemed offensive, I wasn't trying to one-up what you your friend has.

I believe that was due to the changing to the CS/SE/full model but I also believe that you'd still be all set. I'll have to check with Ryan/Support, as there are some FAQs but none get as specific about the kits at least not in this context so I understand. In other words, I think the system gets a little funked up for some that had the pre-CS setup but I'll have to get more details on that. At least I know there are some FAQs and they can't point me to any that I haven't seen (I hope) or tell me to RTFM

Not at my computer so won’t be as detailed but at the top of most of my kontakt instruments is a place to set the incoming midi like omni etc. Check to see if your drums are set to the right input. Another thing I would check is if the midi is in the right octave for this drum instrument. I would go into piano roll view and start testing the keys all over to see if any of them trigger a drum. Sometimes drum midi is not in the right octave or position eg not mapped to that particular drum instrument.

I just added Epic Strings and Epic Brass and Woodwinds to my Originals collection for $39. I didn't really need any more strings, brass or woodwinds, but these sound pretty darn good for the price of a nice lunch.

I have my moments, but I'm still here. That sounded more harsh than I intended if it seemed like it was my swan song, I just wanted to clarify that there's more than one way to find the "holy grail" of tone. I love both real hardware and the great "virtual" tech we have now, so I really don't take sides in that context and I didn't mean to sound like I was joining in what was referred to as a pissing contest but I guess I got myself in there. Hope y'all avoided any splash damage 😆

Based on what I am reading. I think IKM should put something in the system where is, if the a new purchase of Modo Drum 1.5 SE is added to an account, if that account already has Modo Drum 1.0, it should extend the download dates for all other Modo Drum kits e.t.c.

Stereo Placer Elements is my least favorite of the three and I don't really feel the need to upgrade it. Monofilter (full version) is pretty useful. Stereoizer (full version) is awesome and sounds really great. My only knock on them is that I have to read the manual each time I use them because the UI is so unintuitive - at least for me. Of the three though, Sterioizer is my favorite and my go-to. I've gotten away from "wideners", but Stereoizer gives a very nice dimension and depth that I haven't heard in other similar type plugins. IIRC, licensing is machine based with an iLok option and you only get 1 seat.

OK, I get that Peter. But if you go back and read my posts, look at the screen shots I posted, you would come to the same conclusion I have. I would have to pay to get the updated files for my drum kits that I already have. Let me be very clear: I have all my kits from MODO 1 d/l, installed, and backed up. What I don't have are the updated files for the old kits that IKPM is showing me needs updating. IKPM is also showing me that the D/L period for the old kits is expired. So to get the updated files I would have to pay to d/l them. However, the d/l period for the new kits (which I got in May) has not expired. SO what I am saying exactly is this: If the old kits that came with MODO 1 needed updating to get the full advantage of the new MODO 1.5 features, those file should have been included with my MODO SE 1.5 installer. Users shouldn't have to pay to d/l the new files.

Woke up this morning and still had no luck as far as Nu-tron being available! BUT, I still got the 20 Jampoints for free popup in my account. Just out of curiosity, I decided to try clicking the redeem button! LO, AND BEHOLD!!! A panel appeared below the redeem popup that said the Nu-tron license had been added to my account!! I checked Custom Shop and it showed a check as if I owned the plugin. I clicked Restore My Gear and opened A5. There was Nu-tron in my gear! The story isn't over!! When I tried the same process on my backup desktop I tried restoring my gear from Custom Shop and it still was not turned on!! I had to open A5 and restore my purchases there before it finally turned up in my gear! I know this was a convoluted story but I hope it was worth telling if it helps someone out there.

@Bajan Blue - some things to bear in mind: 1. The tempo map has been replaced by a tempo track, which allows you to edit your tempo as an envelope. 2. Although the tempo inspector show a list of tempo changes, it isn't the same thing as the old tempo map. Instead it's a list representation of the tempo nodes, and the envelope shapes connecting them. If you're using jump shapes, then there's pretty much no difference between the two... however, if you have a section where you're speeding up or slowing down, the inspector will just show the start/end tempos and the curve type, rather than every single value in between like the old tempo map used to.
