My only quibble with how this is implemented is that Cakewalk still truncates the clip and makes the automatic splits if I stop recording in the middle of a take, rewind, and start again. I'd rather have it extend all incomplete takes out to the end of the loop.

In fairness, I’d like to amend my earlier comments about BFD3. I spent the last few days trying to get the latest InMusic version of BFD3 to work properly. It took some time, but following a clean install, some detailed instructions from BFD Drew as to what needed to be deleted , a few hiccups, and a new beta version of the installer……it’s all working. My fingers are still crossed but I am, for the first time, optimistic that I’ll be able to reliably use these great sounds again.

It seems clear to me. You set your loop to record a phrase, you record a couple of takes and get the second half of the phrase right, but not the first part. So, you just record that a couple of times and don´t bother to continue playing the whole phrase every time. CbB then splits the phrase in two in all the takes so you can comp it whith what you actually played.

The most you can get off when on sale lately has been 25% $179 - 25% = $134.25...so slightly better than the average sale price when on sale. However discounters will be slightly lower when on sale.

Or just let them end where they end, without automatically splitting anything, it would effectively be the same thing. It's hard to understand the reasoning behind that automatic splitting.

I have been watching too much TV news. The pictures of the continuing shootings are more than extremely disturbing. This song is not political but for me was cathartic. I don't care about the politics but I align with an overwhelming majority of American citizens who simply want a solution to this problem. We are supposed to be the intelligent species not a bunch of animals wantonly killing each other. Actually in scientific nomenclature we are animals (Kingdom: Animalia) but I digress. The point I am trying to make is that we are better than this --- aren't we? Now that I have that out of my system -- I am not sure in what genre this song would fall but it is a wee bit different for me. I did it a bit rapidly, --- so, it probably needs a bit more work. For example, the vocals/harmony in the choruses probably need a little tightening-up and synch'ing. Any comments, suggestions, crit's, etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks. Actually Cubase 12 was early due to the dropping of the e-Licenser. There was never an 11.5 release...it went straight to 12. It's usually 1 year until a .5 release, and then another year until a full version release.
