  7. Here is my MIJ Fender Esquire . I picked her up in 1985 / 86 while I was working on West 48 th street at a music store . I KennyFied the looks of my Guitar ..She is Candy Apple Red , Has Double Binding , A Gibson humbucker in the neck , and I put a Burns inspired pick guard on her . I wanted jumbo frets so I bought a premium quality neck from Rudy's Music on West 48 Th street . At the time Rudy told me this quality and brand neck he was selling me is what he used for his Pensa-Suhr guitars .Oh Yeah Sold I bought it . It cost me as much as the guitar and it still plays like butter after all this time 😉 There's more guitars I have from back then I bought new ... My 1984 MIJ Tele , An 86 Amercan Standard Strat and my Ibanez Midi guitar ... I have pics around here someplace I'm just a little bit Lazy at the moment to hunt them down . all the best, Kenny

  9. A young Naval Officer was in a terrible car accident, but due to the heroics of the hospital staff the only permanent injury was the loss of one ear. Since he wasn't physically impaired he remained in the military and eventually became an Admiral. However, during his career he was always sensitive about his appearance. One day the Admiral was interviewing two Navy Master Chiefs and a Marine Sergeant Major to add to his personal staff. The first Master Chief was a Surface Navy type and it was a great interview. At the end of the interview the Admiral asked him, "Do you notice anything different about me?" The Master Chief answered, "Why yes. I couldn't help but notice you are missing your starboard ear, so I don't know whether this impacts your hearing on that side." The Admiral got very angry at this lack of tact and threw him out of his office. The next candidate, an Aviation Master Chief, when asked this same question, answered, "Well yes, you seem to be short one ear." The Admiral threw him out also. The third interview was with the Marine Sergeant Major. He was articulate, extremely sharp, and seemed to know more than the two Master Chiefs put together. The Admiral wanted this guy, but went ahead with the same question. "Do you notice anything different about me?" To his surprise the Sergeant Major said, "Yes, Sir. You wear contact lenses." The Admiral was impressed and thought to himself, what an incredibly tactful Marine. "And how do you know that?" the Admiral asked. The Sergeant Major replied, "Well sir, it's pretty hard to wear glasses with only one freakin' ear." 😁

  12. Good upgrade offer to the H9 bundle already online on the Eventide site, for those interested. I paid $59.70 for the 5 plugins I was missing. No upgrade offer (yet) for Anthology, I guess it will go online shortly. I have to thank PA for preventing me from spending this money on their sh*ttier deals.

In 1985 / 86 Mark Dronge of Guild Guitars gave me this guitar as a gift .😊 RIP Mark Dronge . May 11, 2022. thank you for the guitar The President of Kramer Guitars Dennis Berardi found out Guild had given me a guitar so he sent a limo out to my apt , brought me out to the his guitar factory in New Jersey and told me to pick any guitar I wanted except for the Ripley ... Here is my Kramer Pacer . I put the decorative ornaments on the face of my guitar ..What can I say ....it was the 80's ....😜 Kenny

  29. Quantum is a great audio interface. It literally set the bar for ultra low round-trip latency performance. Antelope drivers (with current generation hardware) have been rock-solid. My audio interface also functions as a mixer/patch-bay... so the extra DSP/routing comes in handy. I have keyboards plugged-in, Helix and Quad Cortex guitar processors, etc. Antelope has a way of making certain things more complicated than need be. The name Orion Studio Synergy Core says a lot... 🤪 Once you understand patching/routing, the interfaces really aren't hard to operate. Back on-topic to the 88m: I'd expect those preamps to sound good... for onboard preamps. If you're expecting them to sound like a 1073, Portico-II, or Shelford preamp... you're going to be disappointed. The transformer from those preamps wouldn't fit in the 88m's chassis. Even with 500 series preamps, Neve has mentioned preamp design (by comparison to their full-size counterparts) has compromises to keep size/cost down. Whether that matters... is up to each individual. To my ears, the transformer is a big part of the Neve sound.

  31. Go to your IKM product page and download the files manually for the synths that exhibit this issue. I use IKPM for the actual authorisations only, For the synth installs, I always do these manually - never had ad issue doing it this way. Yes, I know IKPM should just work, but it still has issues with installs.

  34. FWIW, I used a RME UFX+ for a couple years. I used it connected via Thunderbolt. Round-trip latency via Thunderbolt wasn't particularly great (just above 4ms total round-trip latency). Connected via USB-3, round-trip latency was just a tiny bit higher. Presonus Quantum can achieve 1ms total round-trip latency @ 96k using a 32-sample ASIO buffer size. Fireface UFX+ can't come anywhere close to that. The driver won't let you use small ASIO buffer sizes if you're running at higher sample-rates. ie: If you're running at 96k, you can't use a 32-sample ASIO buffer size. If you're wanting a Thunderbolt audio interface that offers round-trip latency on par with the Presonus Quantum... along with onboard DSP for processing/routing, I'd steer you toward the Antelope interfaces. I'm currently running an Orion Studio Synergy Core... which replaced both my RME Fireface UFX+ and Presonus Quantum (it has the best features of both).

  35. Sad news, have to agree that he brought real analogue back to the masses.......... again. Amazing guy. I've been wanting an OB6 since they first came out.

  36. Sad one for sure. The newly released Prophet 10 (and Prophet 5) are outstanding. Dave Smith somewhat recently collaborated with Tom Oberheim to release the Sequential OB6. Shame to see him pass... when there's somewhat of a renaissance with analog synths.

  43. On the other hand, CWPA9.x was... well, it was a workhorse in the studio that we recorded our A Rise to Power album but drum editing was horrific. Slip editing wasn't brought in until SONAR 1, so if you cut out a bit of audio, it was simply gone. Need to cut a bit off of the end of something? You deleted it. Gone. Clip fades? Nope - destructive or you had to draw an envelope in. Cutting together a multi-mic kit where the drummer was not exactly accurate and doing multiple takes of sections was something I absolutely don't miss. We've come a long way...!

  46. John, Yes, my failed message doesn't show always, but the fader 8 movement in CbB is always off a few db off on the screen. I had the problem with my fader 5 and 6 two years ago, I believe someone from the forum told me to get DeoxIT Fader F5 Fader Lubricant from Sweetwater and after taking apart the MCU and spraying the faders inside, it stopped the sticky fader movement.
