  1. The plugin is part of the OneKnob Series and is called: FU. The higher you turn the knob, the more non-Waves plugins it deletes from your system. It uses advanced AI to also deregister the deleted plugins from your online accounts so you can't reinstall them. It also comes with 50 years of WUP: Waves Uninstall Program! I was a beta-tester and can report that it works flawlessly. Unfortunately it also deleted my DAW, so I'm kinda screwed. Oh well, it was free after all. Buyer be Waves. 😱

  15. That's a baby step! You started with hate, so you're moving in the right direction and slowly (very slowly, actually, a snail's pace would be monumentally faster) warming up to WUP. I'm presently building a site that features the best deals on WUP and you can even look at past sales so you can understand how good the past WUP deals were compared to the current WUP deals. And great news, they'll be WUP merchandize like WUP mugs, WUP t-shirts, we're talking with the makers of Monopoly for a WUP version of the game. Do you have a dog , @Fleer? I just know he'd look adorable and stylish wearing this great "I love WUP" shirt that we're going to be selling. I can comp you one if you just make a pro WUP YouTube video and get 5,000 or more views. Be on the lookout for it soon, WUPtopia.com. * * None of this is true.

  16. Yes!!!! Stay strong my friend. A great man once sang, "All you need is WUP. WUP is all you need." Truer words were never uttered. Next, we need to get Fleer aboard the WUP train. I think we're getting closer.

  17. Another alpha compressor lover here. I bought it because elysia mpressor is so good, and because White Sea Studios gave it a rave review. It looks intimidating at first, all those knobs and switches, but the thing is, you don't have to use all of them. Stick to what you know, attack, release, threshold, and makeup gain and leave the rest turned off until you've got some time to play with them. Tip: it comes with 22 presets. You can access them via the "VST3" menu in Cakewalk's plug-in UI. This goes for many other PA products as well. Other tip: I think there's a tuner that goes for $5 somewhere on PA's site, I used it for order padding.

  19. As per title. Use Spitfire Audio software to update. IMHO a vast improvement to the initial release...

  20. I don't think Spitfire has ever lowered their pricing for products that are at the $29 price point.

  21. Recently while learning more about Unify and how I might help others understand it more, I started creating "Unified" patch libraries. I started with the Spitfire Originals, as they are not that complicated but having a Unified version makes things so much easier to work with inside of Unify. I am calling this an "Open Beta" where you can download and install the patch libraries to help make sure they are working, and also open it up for you to submit your own user patches that you might come up with. Any user patch to be considered for inclusion in any updated library must use the UNIFY STANDARD LIBRARY, this is to ensure the most compatibility. You can get a look and download what I have so far from this thread on the Plugin Guru site. I hope you find this useful and stay tuned for much more ahead. https://forums.pluginguru.com/postid/12667/ Joyfully! Simeon

  25. This is one thing I noticed with VST3, there have grown dozens of preset systems, like the Tower of Babel! The world (presets) was so well-regulated with VST2! This is a very good example for regression updates (VST2 > VST3)!

  30. So you'd back me up on my feature request that Cakewalk be able to read VST3 presets and import them into its own preset system. I don't remember if I wrote it up and posted it. Steinberg defined default locations for VST3 presets. PA are one of the few plug-in companies who use them. The path for factory-supplied ones is Documents/VST3Presets/<manufacturer>/<product>

  31. One minor comment... I have both ST3 and ST4 installed. Several past Cakewalk projects were set to use ST3 and I initially had problems getting ST4 to work right in Cakewalk. As I open those older projects to tinker with newer plugins and such, I do notice that ST3 is not as CPU intensive as ST4. Substituting ST4 in place of ST3 produced a notable spike on the processing meter. So since I think many sounds in ST4 when used "vanilla", are basically modified ST3 sounds, and I typically can't tell the diffence in a mix, so if CPU load is an issue on your projects, using ST3 with it's sound library may help.

  32. I occasionally slice up stuff like this for intros, fills or seasoning in stuff that I’m doing (jazz, rock or free form) that is usually fairly hard edged to start with. YMMV

  33. Yep, I bought another BX_Blue Chorus (already have one) to get the price up past 32 dollars to use the February 25 dollar voucher. Total $14.98 for an Elysia Alpha Compressor is a good deal.
