  1. I must say, I picked the right year to finally enter the group buy! I double dipped, once at 199 and once at 99. That will be 48 freebies in the end! 🥳 Thanks IK! There is no other company's sales that comes even close to this! 👍 Truly the sale of the decade!

  2. I almost feel guilty. THIS is why I don't bitch about IK's pricing structure. Their sales are so incredible. This is right after I got Syntronik Deluxe for the same price as just one of the titles on its own. One of these group buys years ago is what initiated me into the world of paid plugins in the first place.

  4. I got so tired of WUP and the constant version changes and all of the Waves shells that go with them that I gave up on Waves and the dozens of their plugins I had licenses for, and did not install them on my new DAW. Being Waves-free isn't quite as good as being ex-wife-free (I moved to France), but it's close.

  6. I know what you mean and have tested on my i7 4790 different iteration of Amplitube. You can find my findings elsewhere on this forum, but in a nutshell, cpu usage has doubled twice. Once from AT4 to AT5 5.0.3, then another doubling from At5 5.0.3 to 5.1.0. I have made IK support aware of this and they are looking into it. I am ok and understand the jump in CPU usage from AT4 to AT5.0.3, it is a complete new beast and the changes are incredible. But I am not ok for the change between 5.03 and 5.1.0, where very little change for the user happened for so much cpu usage increase. You may want to voice your concern to support. The more input they have the better.

  7. Any other "deals" right now seem laughable. THIS is THE deal!

  8. You can do it in Amplitube itself. Click on the icon below the three lines until you see an x in a circle (like above) and it will only show the gear you do not own.

  10. I'm still a little bummed the Amplitude stuff doesn't work outside the ecosystem as VSTs. (??) They sound great, but... I guess that's why we have all the T-Racks stuff. However, I picked up another $12.50 Kuassa pedal for good measure. PS. This GB is still A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

  14. The Leslie I am a big fan of. I have been using it for a few years. Great for getting really interesting clean retor tones. I still think IKM really screwed up the interface of the Fullertons in AT 5. They look and work better functionally in AT 4.

  17. Hey, we are just users here, like you. I see that this thread is over 2 years old, and not likely to be monitored any longer by Cakewalk staff. So just some general info about TTS-1, it is based on Roland software, and since Roland sold Cakewalk 8 years ago, updates are not very likely. It is still useful for backwards compatibility for projects that were created with TTS-1 back in the day. My recommendation for new projects would be to search for possible modern replacements, as there are many high quality 3rd party synth plugins available either for free, or very low cost now. There is even a thread in the Cakewalk forum dedicated to the free soft synth topic. BandLab has not released any new synths since re-issuing Cakewalk by BandLab in 2018. If you still think your issue has merit, you can contact support at support@bandlab.com or feel free to post in the feedback forum here: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/

  18. Hi all. I was playing about with a new Kontakt freebie to see what it could do, and came up with a quick tune. You might have already seen this as I posted it in the Deals forum, but thought I'd put it here too. Enjoy! (and as usual, comments/feedback welcome)

  23. $/€ Please see the 25th Anniversary Group Buy page which states: We just added over 30 items that you shouldn't have unless you own AmpliTube MAX (4 or 5) and the X-GEAR virtual pedals at $/€149.99/each. There were 100+ items including anything that was not in Total Studio 3 MAX like the Cinekinetik and Electromagnetik insruments, SampleTron 2, etc. You sure you have almost everything that's in the list?

  26. This is a real good analysis Kenny. I am glad I do not have to choose. Your experiments has given me new ideas of things to try out. I would not have thought of doubling up. I have a fairly powerful machine, but like others, I am concerned about the performance hit. I really do hope IKM can sort these issues out and get rid of that stupid popup that displays every time I start AmpliTube5.

  29. Thanks, that is a great idea if I have alternate place with a fast drive for it. Unfortunately on laptop I have not, would have to put it on an external USB drive which makes it way worse speedwise. I'm considering doing it with my desktop after putting a larger nvme in there cause the current one is already completely clogged 😄

  30. For me it was probably the Comprexxor, as I realized it shortly after IK released it that if I master it then it could be the one compressor to rule them all. But also ARC, and Sampletron since I didn't have any 'tron' instrument and this one comes with much more than just the core sound. Besides this, I could complete my T-racks, Amplitube and Sampletank collections altogether thanks to this group buy. It's a deal of the decade for me

  33. I have done some not very scientific but still valid CPU usage tests on these two plugins. I have a good but somewhat aging PC (i7 4th generation) and unfortunately can't afford having new versions of plugins that grab much more CPU than the previous version. So, for me and for you if you need plugins to be easy on your CPU, we can choose which version we want to use. Depends if things in the release notes of the latest version are a requirement for you usage or not. Amplitube 5 - v5.0.3 and v5.1.0 For this test I created a project in Cakewalk using Basic.cwt. I then added AT5 to the audio track and left it at the default preset. I didn't play, just left it idle. I took my reading from the Cakewalk performance module. v5.0.3: Audio Processing 1.3 Engine Load 10-15% v5.1.0: Audio Processing 2.5 Engine Load 20-30% Lurssen Mastering Console - v1.1.1 and v1.0.3 For this test I have used LMC standalone because that is the way I master my stuff. I used Windows Task Manager to determine the CPU usage of the two versions while playin a song in LMC. Of course these fluctuate, but it is easy to see that there has been quite an increase in CPU usage and if you are using LMC inside Cakewalk on a big project, it may make it non usable in that scenario. It certainly did for me. v1.1.1: 6% - 7% v1.0.3: 1.5% - 2.5%

  34. That's just typical of software development QA. They probably have a suite of tests that they have run for the latest version and haven't run for the older ones because it takes resources and effort even if there are problems they won't fix older versions anyway But, in practical terms: quite likely older versions are ok

  36. I've been running an Orion Studio Synergy Core for a few months. Absolutely rock-solid When connected via Thunderbolt, current Antelope audio interfaces can yield sub 1ms total round-trip latency. (Obviously the machine has to be able to keep up with the load... or you'll hear glitches) I view the onboard DSP as a bonus (not the primary reason for choosing/using the interface) Antelope has a way of over-complicating things (names of products, manuals, etc) If you can get beyond that, the interfaces are excellent. The onboard DIs and preamps are the best I've heard from any audio interface. Ultra low-latency performance is amongst the best currently available. Routing/mixing flexibility is similar to RME's Total-Mix (but with more DSP options). Converters and clock are (IMO) the best you'll find in any current audio interface. Almost all of our professional composer clients are using Antelope audio interfaces.

  40. I probably shouldn't say Tupperware because Tupperware is actually pretty thick and well made plastics (my mother still uses her 40 yr old sets lol) I just generalize all plastic food storage containers as being "Tupperware", but what Im actually referring too are those disposable kinds made by Glaad. They are flexible and have a bounce back response similar to a drum head and you can cut access holes for triggers or a microphone to place inside, if you're into that sorta thing. Actual Tupperware will sound like tapping on Teflon(?) marching snare heads and will not respond dynamically....and baby boom mothers across the world will be offended by you destroying good Tupperware 😃

  41. The Console temps are great as a quick and easy setup with all of the tracks and buss having ProChannel enabled with its corresponding emulation settings ready to go. The reference manual says that this setup is as close as one can get to recreating the sonic qualities of the 3 consoles, from recording to mixing. I also highly recommend studying the “Mixing Templates” for Rock and Pop because they really do some advanced routing of audio and sends. There are several hidden buss and patch points that you need to unhide to trace them. The plugins are sonnitus and all the settings can be saved as presets, and I also recommend saving each tracks FX bin into FX Chain Presets. Its like gaining a whole new collection of built in tools designed exclusively for each instrument type. ....I like to call this “living off the land”, something you learn to do when income is scarce and so you stock up on all the ketchup packets from all the fast food joints lol 😂
