With a name like GigaSampler, are you sure it is not a billion times better already?😉5 points

The best place used to be Time+Space for NI upgrades in my experience. Too bad they are now gone 😞5 points

I waited so anxiously for this… And now that it’s finally out, I’m not going to buy it. Timing.5 points

Fyi, the group buy is on it's last day, and is currently about to hit 4,000 participants, standing at 3,952!!! I'd say it was a success!!!5 points

ValhallaDSP’s SuperMassive has always been free. And always been incredible. Now updated to version 2.0 with two more reverb modes: https://valhalladsp.com/2022/06/01/two-new-supermassive-reverb-modes/4 points

Yeah. Great drum sounds. Very challenging implementation. I’m going to set aside a weekend in the near future to see if I can get it working properly. If not, it’s “bye-bye”. Time is not just money…it’s peace of mind.4 points

This last burst was pretty wild. Less than a week ago I was doubting it would even hit the 3k mark!4 points

I think I'm done with anything under In Music. I replaced a drive that had my BFD library and says authorizations reached. Plenty of hits on that error. BFD = Cluster *****ed Authorization. Never buy. I'm at the point of not supporting products that have their messed up product managers. Too much stuff out there with less hassles.3 points

There is only one version of Neutron 4 listed and they compare it with 3 Elements and 3 Advanced. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/neutron/features.html#comp So this is the replacement for Advanced.3 points

#metoo But it can be a fun diversion from time to time and I even copped a line for one of our Citizen Regen songs.3 points

I wouldn't bother unless going for the ST4 MAX at $199. I have ST4 MAX and that's where more of the good stuff is, for example 200 GB of all new ST4 samples, vs. 70 GB of all new ST4 samples in the standard version. More Basses, more Brass, more Acoustic Guitars, the Red Strat Electric Guitar, more Percussion, more Strings, more Woodwinds, the SampleTank 3 Premium Instrument and Drum Collections, and Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE. The only downside is they stuff MAX full of some basic synth instruments, which is pretty redundant if you already have Syntronik. See for yourself, compare versions >>> https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/include/st4/soundlist/SampleTank_4_comparison.pdf3 points

I finally bought EZ Bass from Thomann three weeks ago, when the deal was two EZB expansions included for $213, which I think was a good deal. I am actually still sitting on one EZB code because I can't make up my mind. 6 MIDI packs @ $15 ea. is tempting...3 points

For $50 you can get the SoundWide bundle which includes iZotope's Nectar / Ozone / RX / Neutron Elements, Trash 2, VocalSynth 2, Nimbus, R4, NI Massive, NI Guitar Rig 6 LE, and Plugins Alliance's bx_console N, bx_delay 2500, bx_digital V3, bx_stereomaker and bx_subsynth. https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/soundwide-intro-bundle.html ^^ That is a far better deal I think for $30 more.3 points

@tecknot as hillyard mentioned, it's probably a good idea to remove your serial number from your links3 points

I was considered skipping the GS-V too given it's appx 30GB, but decided to try it out. I'm going to manually install the missing files per Jacques' suggestion. Hopefully, there isn't something else missing that would require downloading it again!3 points
-
Ok, found the problem. For some reason one of the part files does not get automatically installed. The file is 'SYN2_GS-V_Part_4.zip' found under '../IK Product Manager/Syntronik GS-V' if you haven't erased your install files yet. It is the one containing the needed samples. I copied the samples from that zip file to the 'Samples/Syntronik GS-V' and the preset you mentioned loads. All the samples from that zip where missing. So, like you said, other presets won't load either. @Peter - IK Multimedia This info is also pertinent to communicate to the devs. Thanks!3 points

Yes, I was looking at upgrading my Neutron 3, but $149 for the upgrade is more than I paid for Neutron 3! 😲2 points

A lot of the presets seem to be set too loud/hot. Use the overall volume control on the top right of the interface to turn it down and see if that tames the crackle you're hearing. I'm also a guitarist and same here... having a blast running through presets, but way too many to actually get any sense of which ones I like more than others. I do favorite ones that strike me in a particularly good way when I find them.2 points

Syner-V has a different install issue than GS-V issue. I did some research this morning and here are my findings. The GS-V issue is that one of the zip files is not copied at all by the install process: SYN2_GS-V_Part_4.zip For Syner-V all of the zip files get installed but two of the files are malformed and has an extra level of folder which makes the install copy the wrong thing. I am kinda surprised the install process doesn't give any error message on this though. The file SYN2_Syner-V_Part_3.zip and SYN2_Syner-V_Part_4.zip have the following folder structure: Syntronik 2 Sound Content Syntronik 2 Sound Content Samples When it should simply be: Syntronik 2 Sound Content Samples These get copied in the root of the Syntronic 2 sound content folder. If you manually fix the install of these two files in the Syner-V folder, make sure you erase '../Syntronik 2/Syntronik 2 Sound Content' and '../Syntronik 2/Install Syntronik 2 Sound Content.exe' to recover 8.64 GB of space.2 points

I tend to forget about his (actually quite good, especially given that he does metal, an underserved genre in the world of tutorials) series due to the amount of bitterness I've seen him express toward BandLab and to this forum. Apparently early on he approached them about getting them to finance his efforts. BandLab, with their "attraction rather than promotion" policy toward marketing Cakewalk, could offer him nothing but encouragement. It's regrettable, because from what I've seen of his tutorials, he's really skilled with SONAR/Cakewalk. Sure it would be great if Cakewalk could get a bit of marketing push, but given the choice between funding that and funding development, I'll have to go with development. The attraction rather than promotion strategy pays off when someone like Lorene discovers the software and goes nuts about how capable it is. If I want all my friends to use it, all I have to do is tell them about it and let them go with it if they choose.2 points
