BandLab Technologies has two DAWs BandLab - a web-base application Cakewalk by BandLab - a Windows program based on SONAR Platinum There is little risk to trying CbB. It installs as an upgrade to SONAR. IOW, the DAW installs in a separate folder with the shared folders updated to support both SONAR and CbB. Even if you decide not to use CbB, SONAR will benefit from bug fixes and enhancements to the shared folders. CbB can use all the content included with 64bit SONAR. BandLab Technologies did not start with a new team of developers, they hired a small group of Cakewalk staff including @Noel Borthwick the Cakewalk CTO to develop, maintain and support CbB. Since then they have added a few new people to the team.

My very first LIVE Concert was "America"! My older brother's date had cancelled on him so he decided to take me! The warm up band was "John Sebastian", and John, when performing, said "This is a song I wrote for an upcoming TV Series", then proceeded to play the "Welcome Back Kotter" Theme song! I remember the event like it was yesterday! It will forever be one of the biggest events of my life - getting to see a LIVE concert! I was like 15 or 16, so it was quite the big deal! When I mentioned it to my older brother he had no recollection of it... he passed away 2 years ago on Oct. 16th, 2019....may he continue to RIP!

X-Gear are $149 I am a guitar player, not a keyboard player, but I am glad that my controller is full sized keys! Mini keys are too cramped for me, so much easier to hit more keys than you would like, especially when you are not too good at it. Maybe when you have your own keyboard, and stop pestering your daughter for her's 😄, you will use it more and more. Then you will appreciate if you got full size keys! Of course it also depends if you have room in your studio for a bigger keyboard...

I liked this from the get go. As for the drums it is very subjective I can remember one visit to A&R and they complained the drummer (myself) was to busy, two weeks later same mix and the drummer was not doing enough, go figure. I like this Barry. cool song writing.

Maybe you should try taking a look at the documentation instead of just blathering. A lot of changes can happen in 15 years and it's really only your fault and not Cakewalk's if you haven't been keeping up.
