  4. Would the BC Connector ASIO driver help in this case? I did not know such a thing existed until I downloaded Connector v1.2 yesterday. The driver is a separate download on the same page as the registered software links. Hopefully the driver is specific to the software.

The gift is available to every Adam Audio customer with a myADAM account and registered products. impOSCar 2 is an authentic emulation of Chris Huggett’s iconic British hybrid Synthesizer OSCar. The engine consists of a mixture of classic subtractive and more esoteric additive synthesis. It features two oscillators with 13 different waveforms and an option to draw your own shapes using a programmable matrix. There are also various glide modes, portamento, PWM, and ring modulation. To benefit from the GForce deal, you must have an Adam Audio account where your products are registered. The plugin runs as a 32-bit/64-bit VST and AU plugin on macOS (no Apple Silicon support) and Windows.

  9. I'm not sure its a necessary add to your guitar sim arsenal. If I really knew the sound of the Celestion speakers and was trying to emulate that, it would be great. But I don't. I bought it for $39. It's nice that it integrates with amp room, but I think the other Softube IRs sound really good already. I'll tell you what I have found that it does really well. I set the speaker diameter low to medium, 1x12 cabinet, whatever speakers, whatever amp set to medium dirty (not high-gain), a distortion pedal up front, eq out the lows/boost the highs at about 1k, and then a spring reverb (not Softube's, which to my ears sounds too springy for this application), and I get a very reasonable lofi 80s punk/hardcore sound. Guitar volume at 50% for Minutemen; 75-90% gets Black Flag/Circle Jerks/Minor Threat, 100% get my absolute favorite - Iggy Pop Search and Destroy.

  14. For those who want a smaller library, I would suggest contacting the developer and offering him something to make a smaller size version. If he could set up a way to donate, I think it would be worth a donation. I don't think something like $5 USD or $10 USD for a library like this would be much to pay.

  20. My system notified me that Korg Software Pass had an update. Installed it and... now all the Korg plugins are showing the correct version numbers and the updates all installed correctly. Click on the icon to the left of your name to locate the "Refresh" option to update the displayed plugin version number(s) after installing. At least for me the Korg Software Pass was a pain to previously use. Nice update.

  24. It's fun- I am still on the demo (drops 5 seconds every minute) but will probably bite. I was just using UJAM Finisher Boost on a project that does this kind of thing, but I like the tunability and UI of the Baby product. Finishers are super simple, but most of the tweaking is beyond user control. Infiltrator goes the complex route, unless you can find a preset. The Baby stuff hits a pretty sweet spot for control/simplicity.

  31. VST scanner fails to register plugin when VST3 file is located in a folder by the same name. For example when someplugin.VST3 is located within a folder name someplugin.VST3 C:\PROGRAM FILES\COMMON FILES\VST3 └───F-em (64 bit).vst3 (directory) └───Contents ├───Resources └───x86_64-win ───F-em (64 bit).vst3 (file) Seeing more of this happening lately. I'm thinking that some programming SDK (maybe JUCE?) is creating that kind of folder structure when compiling a plugin and the developer instead of extracting only the VST3 is copying the whole folder structure (that includes the plugin) into their installer. While this is stupid - the issue with the VST scanner failing to register the plugin could probably be avoided if the scanner would verify that *.VST3 is a file and not a directory.

  32. Hello , We had such a good time with our last collaboration we immediately started another one. This one is just about all SubVibe. All I did was the electric guitar and some backing vocals. I really like the "spire" synth he used on this and our last song. We both shared the mix/master on this , so if you hear any problems or have suggestions , one of us will figure it out. Thank You .. mark https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14641482

  41. I did watch the whole video before it was posted here and I feel like it would have been better without the shouty bits. With them, the video doesn't feel as serious as the subject he's talking about requires. Just let go of the grumpy persona (I've spoken to Glenn in his server a few times and he's not like that outside of videos) for 5 minutes and deliver the message.
    1 point
  42. Yeah, Glenn is pretty cool. In the past he's had some pretty closed-minded opinions about stuff until he was set straight by people who know better, but to his credit he's gone "well now I know" and has adjusted his opinions on stuff rather than sticking his fingers in his ears and going "LA LA LA not listening." I don't agree with everything he says (some of his pickup opinions miss the point a little in places, for example) but if you can get past "angry metal guy yells about stuff" it's actually a pretty good channel. It'd be a shame if it had to be shuttered.

  43. You shouldn't have to use sysex, and in fact I'd recommend NOT using it due to the size of the message payload. Most of the control surface DLL's take exclusive ownership of the MIDI ports assigned to them, so you can use any MIDI message you want without fear of it "leaking" into your recording. The Mackie Control surface is specifically designed for the Mackie MCU / MCU Pro, and the additional Mackie XT & C4 units. Not all control surfaces that emulate the MCU work as well as the original MCU, unless they have a specific SONAR/Cakewalk mode that has been specifically designed for use with SONAR/Cakewalk. The ACT Control Surface allows you to define your own messages, but does have its limitations and is one way (i.e. you can send messages to it from your control surface, but no information will be sent back to the control surface). @azslow3's AZController is by far the most flexible, offering pretty much unlimited control in both directions, with any MIDI message you can dream up... but at the cost of ease of setup. In saying that, there are plenty of presets for a range of different devices on his website: https://www.azslow.com/ If you've got C++ experience, you could always write your own surface using the Cakewalk Control Surface SDK. The source code to most of the control surfaces shipped with Cakewalk are there, so you can see how they're implemented, and use them as a basis for your own.

  46. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-windows-10-turning-usb-devices Treesha might be correct about your issue, but given the paucity of your description of the problem and the system where it is occurring anyone answering your question is just making a guess. That said, the power option disconnecting a USB attached audio interface is such a common issue here that likely that is the correct guess for most such issues. A question about a problem is first of all a description of what hardware and software is involved and second a clear statement of the conditions under which it occurs. Before we can decide that your problem is related to a USB issue for example, it would be useful to know what the device you are using is and that the device is connected by USB--which information is not supplied with your question. The "AMD audio device," however is not what you would typically find as a USB connected audio device. More likely it represents the audio connection via HDMI from your AMD based graphics card. Googling "AMD audio device" yields the following: https://blogs.systweak.com/how-to-fix-amd-high-definition-audio-device-plugged-in/ https://www.minitool.com/news/amd-high-definition-audio-device.html https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fixed-amd-high-definition-audio-device-not-plugged-in/ https://appuals.com/fix-amd-high-definition-audio-device-not-plugged/
