Watch Paul Third YouTube videos before buying more plugins (except if you are Bapu). There may be better plugins than UAD that you have, or have the Plugin Aaliance version, pr the Softube version, wchich seem to have the same code so should sound exactly the same.

Shouldn't be doing that, even under a load. Maybe it's time to check the paste under your cooler, or even investigate a more robust cooler. If you've been running it since its heyday, 8 years ago, the paste is probably ready to be scrubbed off and replaced. Are you running at least 2 case fans? Fans, even good, quiet ones, are cheap. My big question with rates over 96K isn't whether my system will handle it, it's whether my plug-ins will handle it.

Don't know but Melda had LT updates for as long as I can remember. Maybe that was the appeal. Since they are more focused on their DAW and are no longer in the 3rd party plugin business that could be why they have Melda, UVI, and W.A. to cover those markets. They don't carry those products in their own shop so I guess they let them run their own business.

You could pay $x for a pedal that does delays only, or reverb only, or you could pay $180 more for a pedal than can simulate any amp out there. You can also download hundreds of models for free online. When you compare it to things like the Quad Cortex and Kemper, this IK pedal is actually very competitively priced. Also, iPhones are powerful.

Since you're using the onboard sound card, try plugging something into the mic input of the computer. Often, nothing will show up unless something is connected.

This is not ironic: Scaler is one of the best pieces of software I have ever purchased. And the price is so reasonable. Amazing value for what you get.
