To keep it simple: stop buying things and start using things for the purposes they're bought to (a long time ago sometimes). I know. Easier say than do. 🥱4 points

#1. Learn ins and outs of all my modules in my modular rig. Some are straight forward and I already know them. Some (I'm looking at you NerdSeq) are much more involved and I need to make the time to learn them. And some I just use very simplistically. #2. Use said modular rig for even more audio that's actually released and not just some pbr sippin echopark soundcloudonly dorkjerkery. #3. Get a set together with the rig involved. I have something specific in mind. #4. Sell some gear. For really reals. #5. Turn ear-breaks into ear-walk around the blocks for a little bit of exercise. #6. Work less hours this year. I worked very hard and very stupid over extended periods of time in 2022. I'd like to reduce both. I wasn't to blame for most of this. #7. Finalize the home studio updates, including upgrades to my current immersive setup. #8. Alphabetize my vinyl. #9. Talk Fleer into WUP.4 points

Not sure why people are concerned about text size, etc. on high res monitors. Modern OS's are fully capable of scaling - resolution was a concern maybe 5 years ago, since many apps / OSs struggled with scaling. I use 3 monitors. Main monitor is a Dell 38" Ultrawide. Its resolution is 3840 x 1600. Other two monitors are LG 27" 4Ks with resolution of 3840 x 2160. All look amazing. I could not even imagine working on 1920 x 1080 - even my mobile laptop rig is 3840 x 2400. Never had a single issue with text readability or UI scaling.4 points

Finish and release my first single on major music services. Almost done recording with the other singer I’m singing with, but we both have been sick a couple of times this year, so it will be released instead in 2023.3 points

I use a TV. You have more options as inputs. I still use video cards that have VGA or DVI outputs.3 points

There is no facility in the PRV to edit Poly Aftertouch. The only way to edit Poly Aftertouch is via the Events List View. I'm sure adding something to the PRV has been discussed in the past, but since the majority of keyboards don't even support channel aftertouch, let alone poly aftertouch, it was probably deemed too much effort vs the number of users who'd benefit.2 points

Stumbled upon this and realized how very little my practicing habits have changed in 4 decades. That's a picture of me practicing in the basement when I was a teenager, watching Star Trek TOS on VHS (on a little black and white tv). Unplugged. I still do most of my practicing in front of the screen, most of the time unplugged. And I have since logged in some serious practice time in front of every Star Trek series (and many other shows, films, and documentaries). I've used my DAW to practice on occasion, usually when I had material to learn, sometimes to A/B studio and live versions, or even to slow down certain passages or loop things I wanted to focus on. At some point I was involved in an Iron Maiden tribute - pretty cool because the way Live After Death is mixed, I could focus on my (Adrian Smith's) parts by playing his side only and then turn off his side and jam with the recording - since I was using my old POD HD, it all came through the studio monitors - pretty convenient way to learn and practice. I did the same for a Judas Priest tribute in which I played bass. A lot more convenient to have a bunch of songs loaded in a project than to mess with media players. Just unmute what you need and play along. I also used to keep a couple of blues arrangements to jam to - that was a while ago though.2 points
