  12. We are proud to introduce our new and most innovative plugin by JMG Sound. Mirror is a reverse negative delay (first of a kind). Its intro price is €22 (68% off). A Delay Ahead of its Time Mirror is a plugin that sees the future. It reverses your audio, applies effects and plays it back before the event even begins. It would automatically create the much-loved reverse reverb and snare effects in seconds, allowing you to focus on the sound, not the process. Reflections of the Future Reflections of the Future means the reverse effect is heard before the original sound. You can also apply the reverb effect and filters before the sound is reversed. The best way to understand and experience Mirror is to grab the 15-days fully working trial version and play with the plugin. Don't miss the intro sale Mirror is compatible with the majority of VST/AAX/AU DAW applications on both Windows and macOS. The price is set to €69. But you may grab the intro price (68% off - €22) until the 28th of February. $20.62 at Best Service https://www.bestservice.com/mirror.html

  14. Generic 3 pack of EZX expansions for $149 I just got confirmation that this works like serial 6 pack MIDI bundles. You can choose over time. $49.66 per EZX seems like a deal to me. Cheaper if you have Loyalty Points.

  15. This is a bit misleading. It is not buy one plugin, get two plugins free. It is buy one plugin and get Multiphonics and one Soundpack free. Not that I really care. I already have all AAS's plugins.

  16. If you read up on this topic which has on some music sites 20 page threads, you will learn while it might be an issue 20 years from now it’s far from causing any changes to what we use currently. So go find something else to think about and make music.

  17. Cakewalk has not announced the end of VST2 support. And till that happened, there is no reason to worry about Platinum package. Please correct me in case I am wrong, but VST2 license has no time limit. So hosts and plug-ins developers which have it can continue supporting VST2, including developing new VST2 plug-ins. One topic which is less discussed is that my last statement is already wrong for VST3! In VST3 license there are special parts targeting exactly that question (Steinberg has learned the lesson...). Effectively in case Steinberg introduce VST4 (VST 3.99, VST 5, etc.), they can enforce all developers stop develop VST3 (except bug fixing existing plug-ins). So, as I have mentioned in another thread, I hope VST3 days are numbered. Users and developers should finally realize they are owned without benefits...

  22. This has been available free for a few years. That video dates back to 2018, when I first got it. But thanks to Larry it made me check and it was updated. I had 2.0.9 and it is now 2.1. It is also a good reminder for newcomers. This is a very good, fully processed, rock drum kit, if that is what you need. It will save you time since you won't need much additional processing. If you are starting out doing rock in your DAW, you should give it a try.

  23. Time to check out this thread: SONAR has been replaced with Cakewalk by BandLab (not to be confused with the BandLab web-based DAW). It's totally free, and is basically SONAR Platinum + around 2000 bug fixes / enhancements, and minus the 3rd party content.

  26. I know about the base octave setting. But if I set that there are other MIDI-triggered plug-ins I have that don't line up, so I just leave it as-is and go with the transposer plug-in. It also has the advantage of being on a per-track basis, in case I have some other plug-in that uses some other convention.

  27. I guess that you use the strange default value of Cakewalk for the MIDI octave display! Like that it is off for most VST instruments also. You can change the value to "-2" in "Preferences > Customization > Display > Base Octave for Pitches" ! Like that it should be okay (for most uses, I don't know for Stutter Edit, because I don't have it).

  32. Which seems absolutely insane for a HP and LP individual filter plugin, right?? Not sure I really get this one and perhpas I should test drive before such judgement, but when you have something like Melda's MBandPass for free and has a "20-20" range on either end, 11 slope options and a seemingly endless Q range and super low CPU hits.... Don't get me wrong, HP and LP filters are super useful. But they are also a dime a dozen, with top manufactures giving one away for free.

  33. Sigh. Yeah, I really wanted to like Stutter Edit 2, I thought it would be the way to level up on glitch and stutter effects. Had a hard time doing anything but browsing presets, so I took advantage of a trial membership at Producertech to take their course. Even after finishing the course, I still don't use it with anything but the presets, and infrequently at that. If one were to master it, it would be really powerful, but I pretty much just use stutters and glitches as a bit of seasoning in my ambient tracks, Chris Zippel style. A deep dive doesn't seem worth it at the moment. I agree about the UI and preset browser. Even just following along in the course, I kept getting into situations where none of the controls would move. I think it was behaving as designed, but it's poor design to let your users get stuck in potholes. One issue I found with Cakewalk is that the note names are 2 octaves off from what Cakewalk uses. No biggie if you put a MIDI transposer plug-in on the track, but something to be aware of if you can't get it to do anything. Still, it's worth $10, even if you only use it with the factory presets. There's no shame in presets. 😄

  34. It has a serial number and unlock code in my PB account, so I'd assume you could get rid of it as long as you don't redeem it yourself. You could always wait to see if they add other option, I thought about going that route myself but went ahead and got Polaris figuring if they add another freebie that I actually want then I'm sure I can find some junk for ~$5 to buy.

  35. The video is quite informative and explains how you can mute the internal drum sounds, and just send the MT Power Drum MIDI out to other drum VST's in your DAW. There are even drum map files available to translate to several other brands of drum plugins.
