  3. OK much more than two days, DarkStar has posted their graph and others have some data showing a bit of a slowdown since the extension was announced which is expected. So it isn't time to panic but if there is anybody you know on the fence they may want to get in sooner rather than later so others continue to have confidence in the progress. Especially if they are looking to join with the ARC 3 + microphone because that is a physical item that ships and entry is unlocked after receipt and registration of the product. So we do have those factors to consider, just to be realistic and to give neither false hope or instill too much fear. We're about "even" right now I'd say, and I know there are many here who are multiple dippers (that still doesn't sound great) so I thank you and will not ask you to squeeze that stone again. I still believe we'll get to 20,000 but it won't be a.... Cakewalk. (I'll get my coat)

  9. It's the way to go. As an Italian-American I know that some of us dishonor our ancestors with the "go big or go home" (and/or completely bastardized) versions of their classic cuisine and I am absolutely guilty of that but I enjoy a minimalist approach like a cacio e pepe quite a bit. Same with pizza... yes, I enjoy many different kinds (except Chicago style, sorry to offend but in my opinion those are not good) but I am proud that my daughter tends to prefer a basic Margherita pizza more than any other kind. This kid from Joisey enjoys NY style a bit too much (and can only get "kinda close" here but still not nearly perfect... don't start me on the topic of bagels) even if we had to put a napkin on top to sop up the grease. Are we still talking plugins, right? Cause I don't recall any buttons or knobs on my plugins here bearing any of such names, and I totally get it that ONE could be tempted to stray away from the topic but all I can read here is that no pizza is EQual so that would suggest that the last one I had, which was Saturated with X number of toppings and side dishes, wasn't the end of world and next time I should try a different type or just go over it and simply enjoy my De-essert.

  19. Mmmm I just ordered a bunch of panna da cucina because we don't have any real Italian markets nearby, and can't wait to have it with tortellini. Simple, too: cook quality tortellini, drain, add panna da cucina over the pasta, some pepper, toss it around gently a bit, grate a metric ton of parm or romano to taste over it and enjoy.

  20. Just took a small break from this thread to give some of my new IK software a try! ARC 3: Was able to easily create a profile using my USB UMIK-1 calibration mic. I played my latest mix through it and it is very different than without it, in a good way. My bedroom studio is ok, but not ideal. I have some acoustic panelling but no bass trap. ARC tamed the bass very well! Lurssen Mastering Console: Probably the easiest way to master and sounds great! To be able to automate changes like adding more push in chorus is very cool. Comment to IK: In the next version of Lurssen, think about a way to add ARC, for those that have it, to the standalone version. These two should be able to go together somehow!

  22. Yes - I've tried the demo of Ample Bass upright. I thought it was excellent. I'm also a big of the EZBass midi editor and the midi packs. I ended getting Orange Tree's Pear Bass for $20 in the last sale. I'll probably use EZBass when setting up backing tracks for quick jam sessions and Pear Bass when producing more finished work. I may write a Kontakt script to translate the key switched between the two programs.

  28. Noice! And I thought I was the only tightwad in this forum 😝. I bought the same mic, and it works great with *ARC-3. Looking at the specs, I think it has the same transducer as just about every <$100 measurement mic. * Here is the fine print- It is an electret mic that needs @5 volts, so it will work straight in to your phone or PC. Alas- I could not get ASIO4ALL to allow input from one device and output to a different one. I think that may be an "ASIO" thing. So now I needed to plug the mic into my Focusrite (where my speakers are). I bought this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L42PBY5 to adapt the mic to XLR AND drop the 48volts to 5 for the mic. Now we are at about $45 with our money saving adventure (high sales taxes here). ONE MORE THING- you need to make sure your headphone adapter for TRRS 4-pole 3/8 input has a three pole 3/8 MIC output to go into the XLR adapter. A lot of "headphone" adapters ignore the mic out. I had the adapter already, or the cash outlay would be another $5 or so. If you feel like soldering and have an old XLR cable to sacrifice, you could make a voltage drop mod with one resister and one DC blocking cap. I didn't have a sacrificial cable so I took the easy route. Good luck and PM me if you hit a snag.

  44. Oh my, Savannah on St. Patrick's Day is an experience apparently. We moved here right at the beginning of the pandemic so we didn't get to experience it yet. There are no open container laws and you can carry drinks from bar to bar so people walk around with drinks all the time. Modena is known more for balsamic and white truffles, maybe I can lobby for some of those. I purchased some Italian food items online recently and noticed a 100+ year old balsamic from Modena and it was even on sale... for $180 (for 2.39 ounces). A bit out of my range. https://supermarketitaly.com/collections/balsamic-vinegar/products/mussini-100-year-balsamic-vinegar-il-grande-vecchio-2-39-oz

  45. Speaking of spreadsheets, I decided to tally the value of my group buy items and compare it to my total outlay. Here is where I stand today, and I have yet to pick five more items at the $199 level (though in reality, I have nothing above $99 that I can pick). So my total discount so far is 93.64% off. Not too shabby at all.

  46. Y'know, even though I've been using CbB since about the day it first came out in 2018, I love watching "beginners" videos, because Cakewalk is such a feature-deep beast that I inevitably end up learning something or remembering something I might have forgotten. Just because your way of doing things is different from mine. For instance, I'm 2 minutes in and really like what you point out about the interaction between Track View and Console View. It can be faster and easier to organize tracks in Track View rather than dragging them around in Console View. You get into valuable information that took me months to figure out, like the order of signal flow (I had only the then-outdated web-based documentation to go by, no Reference Guide).
