Most soft synths I've used don't sound particularly unique but Dune3 has got this big phat but glossy produced kinda sound to it I've not heard elsewhere. Often a favourite in my TV tracks.5 points

The crappy thing about forums is that sometimes the written word comes across in entirely the wrong way, not to mention language barriers too. I know I've definitely been caught up in the "you said WHAT about me?!" loop and then had a phone call with the person later and it was like "oh no, sorry, I didn't mean it like that at all!" and I'll admit I've been on both sides of that too over the years. How's about we start with a clean slate on this thread and put it all down to a misunderstanding? EDIT: For the record, I don't think anyone should feel like they shouldn't ask a question about anything on the forum. I think we all get a little fatigued by some of the same questions sometimes, though, which isn't really the fault of the question asker. Perhaps there needs to be a couple of threads that we can just refer to as links to save any misunderstood tone in replies?5 points

I don't know. Vinyl sounds. I've got them in every low-fi plugin already. Vybz, RC-20, Lo-Fi-Af, Needlepoint, Izotope Vinyl. Plus a ton of samples of vinyl-typical crackles, scratches, noise and dust. I don't see how yet another plugin like this could add anything new and exciting. I'm not going to buy something just to get this plugin for free.4 points

Don’t think I have seen them this low. BF for dune 3 was $119 if I remember.4 points

Guitar player here and I tested the previous guitar plugin though the best amp sims and effects in the box and even tried to reamp though some boutique amps via a reamp box. I personally couldn't get anything that sounded like a guitar tone Id want. Plugged in a $100 guitar and it sounded an order of magnitude better. I uninstalled and was one of very few PA plugins I didn't plop down $15 for after a demo. Of course I'm sure someone more skilled than myself could get something usable out of it.4 points

I hope everybody on this forum can forgive me for the way I started my earlier thread on how we will be informed about the new products. I was wrong to gravitate to that level. Peace to all 😀John B3 points

Feeling more positive today. We have a candidate for our new guitarist coming over next Tuesday. Fingers crossed. Plus the new PA arrived today. I set it up all by myself despite my bum foot. Of course, I had to have a little sit-down afterward. And this is cool...those speaker poles have pneumatic lifts in them, strong enough to raise the speakers by themselves. However, I haven't yet figured out how to get them back down. In a couple weeks I'll start playing keyboards through the PA instead of separate amplifiers, so I had to set them up today to test that configuration. And yes, Bapu, that means I have instruments here (at least until Friday) and can now add a part to the new Citizen Regen project.3 points

Sorry guys, I think this thread is asking for some high emotions and attracting harsh words by leaving it open. I'm gonna lock it. I think at the heart of it there was some nice sentiments and steps to make things right overall, and I think the OP question was answered to the best of our knowledge for now. The bottom line is we just still have to wait and see. I'm absolutely sure we won't be left in the dark once the new products drop - it's a commercial product now, they have to sell it, right? Just one final note, let's all be a little mindful that there's a person on the other end of these forum posts, and a bit of respect and empathy goes a long way. There's a reason I've kept coming back to this place year after year, and it's this amazing and knowledgeable community, so it would be a shame for anyone to feel like they're being excluded from this killer resource. Anyway, lockage ahoy! Cheers, all.3 points

I suggest you read through this thread. I believe you'll see that the only person being in any way aggressively or disrespectfully here is you in your references to "they" and their undisclosed transgressions. To me, it sounds to me that you're trying to pick a fight over some past transgressions that maybe only you remember. Also, going back to 2019 might indicate you hold a grudge too long.3 points

This may be the time for strategic purchasing. Klevgrand offer discounts on bundles depending on how many of the plugins you already have. So...look to see what's in the bundles. Buy one of the plugins on Audiodeluxe and get the free one and that sets you up for further discounts on the Klevgrand site. GAS chess.3 points

Really do not like ADSR. Do like Melda however. So if anyone can navigate the cheapest item to buy then please let us know. That whole having to click on items individually to see the price really does me in.3 points

@azslow3 The reading is using 48hz and in Cakewalk preferences. I thought about running the RTL utility by Oblique but its not that important to me. I just thought it was of some interest to share that Behringer drivers seem to be on par with other household brands these days. I’ll agree that the advertisement for ultra low latency is misleading but I tend not to pay attention to advertising as I grew up in the 50’s when they told you smoking Camel cigarettes was recommended by more doctors than any other brand. Because I don’t use real time effects, latency doesn’t bother me. Example I’ll be using the X18!to record 14 tracks at an upcoming live show we are doing in a week. It belongs to my son and we’ve been using it as a live mixer since last fall. I hadn’t tried the USB interface feature and was super impressed with how easy it was to set up and use with Cakewalk. The USB output is independent of the live mix. This is the critical difference from other set ups I’ve used. The laptop will be running both Cakewalk and the Mixer software. My son can also control the mixer from his tablet so will fine tune the mix from out front. The other guy has his in ear monitor mix control on his cell phone. Im using a second laptop to playback split stereo backing tracks. I could have dumped them into Cakewalk. This is more bulletproof. We will also have a 6 camera video shoot happening run by a guy with 40 years of experience. I’m finally going to have live videos for most of my original songs! Sorry about the side track. But I will be using the Real Tek audio on my playback laptop like I have for the past 20 years with out issues. And it’s not the ASIO driver involved.2 points

Two new updates: 1. We've updated the Spitfire scraper and its working correctly now (it was missing some deals because of "pagination" on their site). Working perfectly now with their new website design 2. Based on a lot of requests and feedback, we've now added the "Table" view button which lets you see the results / latest deals in one single table. For example, view all of the Plugin Boutique latest deals in a table like this (attached)2 points

I like the idea of having a DI guitar on which I can slap AmpliTube or Guitar Rig to get various different types of electric guitar characters. That's why I bought Wedge Force Matcha. But I just couldn't get it to sound good. Looking at online comments I then realised that I'm not alone.2 points
