I'm not buying any PA plugins anymore. They did me dirty on the "all in bundle" deal, so I'm done with them. Not saying that others shouldn't buy...just that my experience was VERY bad, so I'm done.

In a world of synths that try to do everything and are other convoluted , Fabfilter proposes a "simple" synth that can become complex if needed !! A lot of time we get complex synths that struggle to be simple , or simple synths that are frustrating when you want to go more in depth . I'm doing a project this week that involves a bit of experimentation involving midi to cv to branch into the world of eurorack modules. This seemed like it had a good amount of variety for what we are doing so I copped it. The entire download is 7.7GB. This includes any 'bonus' material. The construction kits will be helpful for what I've got going on, but John's wav comment is totally valid (especially with the folders that include a demo song bounced in both wav and mp3). Durr. Here's an example of the spilt sizewise between wav and midi: 35 midi files. 35 wav files. I suppose I'll use the wavs for auditioning. I should note this package comes with a $25 giftcard (purchase $25 and up) you can apply on the newnation site. I can safely state that this collection is not a "$1,224.00 Value".

There have been three beta releases this year. Combined, they include about 30 bug fixes and some nice enhancements. I can't talk about them per my NDA, but they're going to be very welcome additions. Some old favorites from SONAR days will be coming back, so everybody who came onboard after SONAR's demise are going to get some new goodies. But even you old SONAR guys will smile when you see the new version.

I'm sure Meng knows that if he wanted to make money with Cakewalk by selling add-ons, VIs, etc. in a Cakewalk store, he could. The fact that he doesn't perhaps implies that making bucks from Cakewalk is not a priority. There are plenty of reasons to keep it going, and few reasons to shut it down. [No inside knowledge, just how it looks to me.]

When I buy MIDI, I don't want WAV files. Pass.

They have my new Transport buttons and Tools icons. Also the overhauled Step Recording dialog and added some themed color to the virtual controllers. The idea here is to make things as flat as possible, and also make the button art larger and in the case of the Tools Module, make the button art resemble the cursors you get when you invoke the tools. Also my Plug-In browser tabs now show simpler images of a plug. I've gone with black backgrounds, or as black as you can get in Cakewalk and not have it look weird. Link to download is in my sig. As ever, be sure to install the custom color presets. They are integral to the themes.

I got mine from Gamers Outlet. But today I uninstalled the old Office and re-installed it with my bought cheap key and it now works again. I think it was confused between what I bought myself and what I got thru work. I recently retired and lost all connections to my employment benefits, including their Office products. That's when things started getting confused. But all is good now.

I thought I knew all about this process, but my knowledge was 50 years out of date. I want the job of the guy who listens to every master. Or maybe not. Just because it's on vinyl doesn't mean it's any good.

I thought this was a good in-depth on the difference between a monitor and a TV. The text smoothing part of the video is the most interesting and can have some effect for a DAW. Not much maybe, but still worth considering. He also goes into what settings to change on the TV for optimal results, a step not to skip if you get a TV for your DAW.

@Brian Lawler Thanks for the help, once I rebooted computer I found the SYnth in my synth instrumnets..... Just FYI I used as a plug in, just to experiment I bounced to audio file no issue, then I mono'd that track Cakewalk crashed... re-started and did the same thing again and no issues it worked.

First...the chickens... So, I arrive in Miami at 1:30 am. My shuttle isn't supposed to pick me up until 10:30 am. There is construction at the Miami Port entrance that has been keeping traffic backed up there, and my time to check in is 11 am at the Cruise Terminal. After sitting in the Airport for 6 hrs I decide that I should just call an Uber to make sure that I get to the Terminal on time. I then call Royal Caribbean to cancel the shuttle. Uber picks me up and I arrive at the Cruise Terminal G at 8:30 am. While standing at the entrance a Rooster and a Hen are just wandering around. That's what the photos of the chickens at the beginning are! Then, while standing there waiting to get in, the NEW crew arrives, and I watch them all check in. That's the photo of the people lined up! They are the new crew checking in for work!
