  11. It is pretty low. Fairly old plugin at this point (not suggesting that is a bad thing) it just isn't like some modern CPU hogs.

From his early days singing with the Byrds to CS&N and beyond we got some of the most beautiful songs ever written--Guinnevere, Wooden Ships, Yvette In English (co-written with Joni Michell), and all the wonderful collaborations on Here if You Listen, just a few that I've been listening to lately. We're really going to miss you Croz... peace brother.

  22. I didn't know of this influencer before, but he does a really good job of explaining the plugin's value and how to use it. I didn't have time to watch the whole thing, but I'm definitely going to watch this later. Thanks for sharing it. I find it valuable and will try out his recommendations.

  23. Fleer and I were recently chatting and discussing how consistently good and high quality Soundiron libraries are. I only have several of their less expensive libraries, but all of them are really good from all angles, sound quality, creativity, KONTAKT scripting... They're one of those developers where I feel confident before a purchase that I'm going to be happy with my purchase. This demo in particular really appeals to me. I love the sounds and the composition itself. I'm trying to curb my spending (so why am I looking????), but this is super tempting:

  24. Yes but...a beefier power supply can run cooler and quieter. I've got a low power system in the grand scheme of things, but a fanless 600+W PSU. I went for that much wattage not because I need it, but because it is silent and very efficient, hence cheaper to run in the long, er, run.

  34. Cheers, Scott The faux mastering I put on the master was maybe a bit iffy, honestly, but considering it was all stock without anything specifically made for mastering, I think I just got away with it! But yeah, as I said, this is not a great way to do things if you're planning to keep the mix all in one process (aside from the big benefits of good organisation), but if you plan to make stems or alt mixes, this method is super useful. And doing alt mixes with the Mix Recall module as I did is really easy - you can load each one into the export module as a Task then set it to export while you go have dinner - it's great!

  42. A lot of the music-related bundles from Humble and Fanatical can be sort of 'meh', where the standalone sample packs are concerned. (And that aspect of this one isn't terribly exciting personally, to be honest.) But if you're invested in the AAS universe, this is effectively a sale on selected AAS sound packs: For $1 or more: Synbiosis for Chromaphone 3 (or AAS Player; all packs work in the free player) Masala for String Studio VS-3 For $10 or more, add: Cardinals for Chromaphone 3 Low End Theory for Ultra Analog VS-3 For $20 or more, add: Abstractions for Ultra Analog VS-3 plus the AAS Session pack (Strum, Lounge Lizard, Ultra Analog VSTs) and Objeq Delay Not too shabby, considering single sound packs are $19 on frequent half-off sales.
