After purchasing a few of the entry level LiquidSonics reverbs, I was poking around on their website and ran across these in the FAQ section. I recently purchased some LiquidSonics reverbs, and reading through the site, I discovered that they have made their captures of the Bricasti M7 IRs freely available for use in any convolution reverb! LiquidSonics has a proprietary format for their reverbs, but these are the .WAV files that they used to create those files. I'm blown away! What a generous thing to offer! Even though Reverberate3 is kind of redundant now with this discovery, I'm happy to support this dev and looking forward to digging in to these reverbs. 👍 (Size Warning: The unzipped .WAV files are almost 10GB!) Hey folks, while I do appreciate the fun of bargain hunting, @kitekrazy put it best that it's ultimately not a good customer experience. Nobody should feel like they are "missing out" on a discount just because they don't know where to look. That's why earlier this year we introduced the Personalized Deals area of the site. My PC has been sluggish all day... then it became apparent why... the latest windows 2023/12 update had been doing it's thing in the background, and when I finished up for the day was telling me to restart to complete the update. I can't count how many times this has caught me out. Before troubleshooting all your audio settings / cakewalk config etc... check Windows update - it could be the cause of the slowdown and memory usage. Some day I'll remember my own advice myself!

They have a new security certificate, and some people are having trouble installing, and running Reaper on Windows. I had no problem, but people are reporting that Windows Defender sees it has a Trojan, and is quarantining Reaper files, causing Reaper not to run. With Arturia it's always best to upgrade during the Black Friday sale. It's $99 from any V Collection version to the latest. Occasionally they do release the next version close after the Black Friday sale. VC8 was released in December as well, but other times have been in Spring or Fall. I was hoping X would come out before the BF sale. I own VC9, Pigments and FX3 and it's $199 for me. $199 is a bit steep - I'd probably jump if it was $149. Have to see how the rest of the holiday season sales go to see if I'll bite at $199. But have plenty enough to keep me busy until next BF! 🤣

Same for Spitfire. Hopefully, it's just related to the holiday schedule and they'll be back next year. The good news is that around the third week of December, Orchestra Tools typically sends their customers a $25 USD or so certificate to use towards any of their libraries -- with no minimum spend. You can find individual libraries within their larger bundles that you can pick up for that price or less. I assume that if they send it, it will go out to people who've never purchased from them before who've only downloaded their freebies as well as past customers.

The only time I actually revisit a project is because something got re-recorded/replaced. If a plugin is out of date or replaced by a newer version, I just "deal with it'. Chances are I'm going to come up with something just as good or maybe/hopefully even better.

Reverb.com has its pros and cons. That being said, I’ve had good luck buying and selling. eBay was ok at one time, but (IMHO) it’s a shite show these days. Craigslist is “sketchy”, but I’ve used it some (more general merch, not instruments). Did the Paul listed by Mike and Mike sell? I’ve done business with them and they have a good grasp of the market, but “one off” items like this can be “hit or miss”. “TV Yellow” is a hot item; for Juniors and Specials, but a Standard? Takes a “special” client I would think. Goldtops and ‘Bursts for “Standards”, at least in my experience… Give the Mikes a call, maybe they can give you some insight. t Where is it written that you can’t “tune” a Paul any way you like? Yes! That's the one. The thing that caught my eye in the EULA is: I'm not shure about that last line. What do they mean with not claiming trademark rights in derivative works? Would that mean if you slightly alter the samples and try to sell them as your own (understandable), or are they being deliberately broad and could they say that any use is a derivative work?

Seventh Heaven also convolution based and uses the same proprietary Fusion-IR approach like Reverberate 3 and VerbSuite Classics, but they all provide different tweakability, and Seventh Heaven Professional is the most developed of them all. But I gladly stick to VerbSuite. Anyway, those Bricasti wav-files (non Fusion-IR) you found are generic and can even be used in free convolution reverbs.

They seem to be one of the good guys. I have it installed on more of my computers than you can do any of the PA stuff - for example.
