It's extremely user friendly and especially useful if you're not very knowledgeable on mixing tools. It uses AI to analyze audio and create custom presets and uses very descriptive language to help you easily understand tools. I use a combination of tools, and especially rely on Izotope's tools, but these are a small fraction of the cost and help you get good results very quickly. I've found they're also a great learning tool that has helped me better understand mixing concepts and tools much better.

I noticed they finally fixed the spiccato repetition keyswitches in the 2.0 versions of Cinestrings. They did not work before, and Cinesamples confirmed this and gave me the impression it might take a while to get patched, but I downloaded the most recent update and it's all better...

One subscription that is really worth considering.

TTS-1 is crash-prone, unfortunately. This is old Roland code that the Bakers have no access to inside of the plugin. I'd almost certainly say the crashes will go away if you take that out (or bounce that down to audio, and remove the effect). My system is super stable but I can almost count on TTS-1 to crash it fairly regularly when I use it.

We no longer distribute the older demo projects for Cakewalk by BandLab. There's the current demos available for download through either the online installer or the app itself, or if you're just looking for additional material to learn how to mix, there are places online you can find multitracks available for learning purposes. Here's one example.

If Cakewalk by Bandlab needs more money to continue, and it results in some fees for updates, or something, I am happy to pay a reasonable amount. I do not want to go through that awful period again when Cakewalk had no sponsor until Bandlab saved it. So, Bandlab, please do what is reasonable to make this a sustainable product.

Well, this actually is a CRAZY price. The bundle regularly went for $99 but this is pretty pretty amazing.

Andrea is a talented sample developer who has been doing guitar and bass sample libraries for a long time. His libraries are very good. They're not ultra detailed type, highly sophisticated scripted libraries like Orange Tree Samples (who a lot of folks here are much more familiar with), but they're good, well recorded libraries and have their own strengths, IMO.. I think where they shine is the simple results you get with their approach to strumming. Disclosure: I've given business advice to Andrea many years ago and consider him a friend.

I'm skeptical about this. I've run tests, and Meldaproduction processors are consistently the least CPU-hungry in whatever category. If whatever program's "performance bars" aren't reliable indicators of CPU use, Windows has native tools like Task Manager and Resource Monitor that can spot trouble. Increasing the ASIO buffers should just give the processor more time to do its thing, or my understanding of it is way off. But maybe they're right, it's time to dump this unfamiliar "Bandlab" software and try one of the supported programs on their list like AudioMulch* or Hindenburg Journalist (the humanity!). Maybe you can find a copy of Mackie (sic) Tracktion? *I looked at AudioMulch's forum, and back in 2020 Ross, the developer, teased a 64-bit version on Twitter, so maybe by this time he's had a chance to update it.
