Here is a song that I wrote last summer using EZ Keys 2, Midi Guitar 2, SD3, and the other usual suspects. Greetings, I was pondering feeling fragile or something like that at times especially some difficult times this year, and not liking that feeling so I made this song about those moments. Some is literal and some is a bit of my NY sarcasm and I made up a few new words (i think). I used Instacomposer 2 to mess with chords and phrases initially. I like it for ideas. I like that is has drums now. Usually it is better to start your own thread with a new question not tag onto a 3 year old thread. However, you can cut the clip, using the scissor tool or the 's' command. Then use clip gain, or process audio->gain to change it. Other ways include using track automation to increase the volume using a volume envelope or if you have Melodyne you can cut the clip to contain the note you want and then analyze it with Melodyne and use Molodyne's gain tool to increase/decrease the volume. Make sure you bounce the melodyne clip after. Please see the documentation for Splitting Clips, Applying Clip Gain, Volume Automation ect.

I recommend stuff that is on sale on Best Service right now and either a) exclusive to BS or b) usually blocked from further discounts on other stores e.g. - Cinesamples (Piano in Blue, Forbes Organ... almost everything is excellent) - Have Audio (Nordisk Cello and Nordic Kontrabass, can't really recommend anything else) - MNTRA Instruments - Output - Soniccouture (Broken Wurli, All Saints Organ, anything really) Possibly others but this is stuff I bought or is on my wishlist.

If you're comparing oranges to oranges, that is, an EQ or compressor made by FabFilter vs. ones made by iZotope, then it won't be a question of which one sounds "better," it'll be more a question of which one allows the user to do the job quickly and with a good understanding of what it's doing. As for comparing their "everything" packages, well, iZotope makes a lot of stuff that has no equivalent in the FabFilter line, like RX and Stutter Edit. iZotope's (excellent sounding) processors mostly come bundled with other processors to make up suites like Ozone, oriented toward mastering, Neutron, oriented toward mixing, Nectar, oriented toward vocal processing, RX, oriented toward dialog cleanup and similar tasks. To my knowledge, you can't buy a license for just a compressor from iZotope. You'll get your compressor, but it will come as part of Ozone or Neutron or Nectar. That, to me, is the big difference. I understand the appeal of both approaches. I have a license for iZotope's Music Production Suite that includes the latest versions of their stuff including Neutron, Ozone, Nectar and RX. I have no FabFilter, but I do have a license for MeldaProduction's MComplete bundle. Melda's approach is more like FabFilter's, where each plug-in stands alone, except for the one plug-in they have that allows you to use any of their other ones as a module. The difference I see is that iZotope wants to help you get industry-standard results quick with the help of automatic analysis. FabFilter wants to sell you top notch tools that you can use in any way you wish. No guidance, results dependent on your skill level, ears, and taste. At my house, MeldaProduction gets used way more often, hands down. I usually have an ideal sound in mind to start with, and I know how to set up processors to (I hope) get that sound. Most of the time. Sometimes I struggle to get the sound that I'm hearing in my mind. iZotope's suites are....like having another mix engineer around whose work I can compare with mine, look over their shoulder, see how they do it.

It can be confusing with Thunderbolt-4 Many higher-end Z790 motherboards have a pair of USB-C ports. If you don't specifically see the Lightning Bolt icon next to those USB-C ports, they're almost always USB-3.2 Gen 2 (no Thunderbolt). If you see the Lightening Bolt icon next to them, the USB-C ports are Thunderbolt. If those USB-C ports are USB-4, Thunderbolt-4 is integrated.

Thanks as always folks. I did really jus want the fabfilter reverb-but the price for 3 (as mentioned above by me comp\EQ and reverb) is double so kind of 1 for free. Just as a note-You do NOT have to just use the AI featured with Izotope. Especially with the EQ and compressors. I most likely will do the fabfilter 3 bundle though. Maybe I can learn more and catch up to John V. with "standard processing tools"................😉
