meh, unless they plan on doing away with copy protection altogether IMHO this is hardly a win. It'll be just another private authorization system** that I have to notate in my password safe just so I remember their particular flavoring and next time I rebuild my system I'll may have to do multiple authorizations for my UVI plugins instead of just the one iLok. On a new system I can download & install the iLok manager and I've got over 400 plugins authorized in less than 15 minutes total. **Probably they'll build their DRM into the UVI Portal app which might not be bad as long as you can mass authorize plugins.

Well, still don't have room for the 2nd monitor yet, although I do have the monitor itself-Samsung 27" 4K. It's not as big as my main monitor which is a new LG 32" 4k etc (still not huge I know). So CV was certainly different and I am not sure it is for me-way too many years with TV. But I am giving it a shot for mixing. With 2 monitors I think I would like having both-well I know I would. Going to try this week to figure a way to make room for both. I truly appreciate all the help and comments. You know the real old CW forums were really my first time living and learning on a forum. To this day if asked I would say that the CW forums and the Fractal Audio forums are the most helpful forums I have ever used. CWQ since the 90's and Fractal since 2009. 🙂

It takes a while to transition to Studio One from Cakewalk. All of the features are there and more, but they are often called by another name. YouTube is your friend. I now prefer the work flow in v6.5 over Cakewalk. I never thought I would say that after 20 years as a hardcore user.

As I've already written in a number of previous threads concerning Thenatan I would advise against buying his stuff. The plugins are buggy and the guy's customer service is non existent.

MStereoSpread, which is fairly unique in its processing that will always collapses to mono without issues. MSpectralDynamics, which @El Diablo had asked about in the Soothe2 thread a while back; that is now $89, so less than half of the cost of Soothe2.

This came from left field for me. Never heard anything by Lil' Yachty before. Seems like he started hanging out with Tame Impala and got into psychedelic rock (the first track on his most recent album sounds like Dark Side of the Moon-era Pink Floyd, I kid you not). This song played over the credits of a movie I saw on Netflix and tickled my ears with its cool production and Tame Impala-esque drumming: My only issue with the song is that it's 2:30. It really needs the current ending to be a break and then come back into a chorus before it ends. It's too good ear candy not to be at least 4:00.

I don't hate Apple but, as a tech guy, they're a bitch to work with! Many of the lower level type things we need to do are not available "to protect the user!" plus the operating systems auto-expire requiring you to buy the latest OS to keep going. Then there's the extra costs just because. They are shiny though... 😁

Supposedly, a lot of Waves Audio plugins have been around for tens of years. I'm not ever going to worry about updating them. @mettelus I just can't get myself to enjoy using thier interface. The colors interfere with my colorful sight. I also got a super deal with Mastering The Mix FUSER, RESO, and Expose for 104.55 USD. I demoed them before the test verses Soothe 2. If you have both RESO and FUSER, you'll beat Soothe 2 hands down. Splitting Soothe 2 into 2 separate plugins was genius! Thanks for the update on Melda Productions. I do like thier concept, but just can't get myself to like the interface/ GUI. I know people talk about themes they have, but I've not see any proof.
