    Well, I have been debating if I should contact Izotope about my recent purchase of MPS 2.1. Since I already bought the upgrade from 2.1 to 3 from a third party (JRR), I was wondering what would happen, how would they handle this situation, IF I was in the grace period. Well all the worrying was for nothing! Thanks to the good folks here I am now aware of the grace period time, and how far they will extend it. And I don't make it!! I missed it by two months! I didn't think it was that long ago. But apparently so. 2 June 2019 was my purchase date. It's also really great to hear that Izotope is allowing this grace period at all. Fantastic service. Customer first type of business. I like that. So I really don't feel bad that I didn't fall into the grace period.

    Last night when I posted it it claimed it would end in 13 hours and 40 some odd minutes. But it didn't actually list a time/date for it to end, just a count down. Come to think of it I think the last few of these NKS sales appeared to end early too. The only thing I could find in email is the offer ends Oct 6, 2019. Perhaps the count down is incorrectly using the user's local time and not the server's time?

    There might be a quicker option: use Sonar 8.5. Yesterday when I saw the original post, I successfully opened Sonar 8.5 (on my Windows 10 PC). It seemed to have no problems playing a test file I created in June (2019) before I discovered Cakewalk by Bandlab. The test file consisted of two audio tracks and two midi/instrument tracks (TTS-1 and Rapture). In fact, if Sonar 8.5 still works on your computer, maybe you could have both options--with the workflow time saved doing projects in Sonar 8.5, use a portion of the time saved to explore features in the new Cakewalk at your leisure. If over time the new version doesn't click for you, you still have 8.5 (assuming it works on your PC as it seems to work on mine). Steve

    Yes sir, this was using the latest version (which I believe was 7.2019) when I made the video. This is a good observation @jono grant. Now we might be getting somewhere. Let me check out some things on my set up and get back to you. It might be Ghosting data. Try enabling it by doing this... To enable/disable data type ghosting Click the Track view Views menu, point to Display and choose Display Ghosted Data on the submenu

    *** PROBLEM SOLVED, AIM ASSISTANT WAS DISABLED AFTER THE UPDATE. WORKS NOW. *** I have finally switched from the last Sonar Platinum release to Cakewalk by Bandlab a few days ago and am really pleased with the application. I was especially happy that in the track view the program finally displays not only to where clips are being dragged but also by how many bars I have moved them. Back in the Sonar Platinum days I had requested this feature in the forum a few times but it was never realised... Today I've installed the 2019.09 update and now this doesn't work anymore - even worse, when I drag clips there's no value shown at all... Or do I have to reactivate this function again somewhere? Some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot in advance!

    You can think that, but 10 years ago Pro Tools was bundling most of AIR's stuff, which is still better than 98.6% of "free stuff" on the internet. So, I completely disagree. And this comparison is just... laughable. No one in their late teens/twenties, looking for a DAW in late 2019, is going to care how a free DAW and some free stuff compares to a 10-year old version of another DAW. Free stuff is generally mediocre, especially in the realm of sampler instruments and non-synth VSTis. They may be fine for you, if you're willing to completely throw quality out of the water. But the Kontakt/Halion factory instruments sound like EastWest compared to that free Stuff. I've tried almost everything anyone here would recommend, but feel free to surprise me.

    With the new update 2019/09 all my projects sound mono. No pan, no left, no right. All files in the middle. gasp. It was a stupid button checked in my RME souncard.

    I haven't had time to install 2019.09 yet, but I am interested about this possibility as well. My workflow is to use W like you all the time, expecting playback to stop. From the Feature Overview thread: "Go to Start and Go to End buttons (?) now accurately seek to project beginning and end, and do not stop playback." Does the stopping only concern the buttons and not the actual keybindable actions? Or was it just an unfortunate choice of words...? Maybe we could have two different keybindable actions: Go to Start (and stop) Go to Start (and keep playing) Then it would be easy for the user to select.

    Both the Gran Vista Black & Blue and Carbon themes have now been updated to support GUI modifications in CbB 2019.09, i.e. the addition of an Auto Crossfade button in Track View. Additionally, the colour of Selection Markers (a.k.a. ”That new green selection bar thing”) has also been modified in order to give better contrast against the timeline. The previous dark gray colour has now been changed to green, same as in Tungsten. In addition to increased contrast, this will also give better conformity with the end user documentation. However, if you don't like that change, do let me know; I'm not totally convinced myself so if enough numbers ask me to go back to dark gray, I might consider doing so. As always, download the modified themes from the links supplied in the OP. You will also find a link to a newly added release history pdf there.

    So if I install 2019.09 right now, I won't be able to use projects that use U-he Satin? I am SO psyched about the Duplicate Clips feature, it's something I have requested a couple of times in the past.

    Mr @Colin Nicholls, I just thought misery loves company... 😪 Meanwhile under Windows 1903 & CbB 2019.09 I'm getting the occasional dropout while doing some activity in the track pane, no audio (play stopped, no audio input), no midi input (keyboard off) and no midi editing and the reason code is so far (1) : "Audio processing took longer than the buffers allotted time slice", which is a puzzle, unless "Always Stream Audio Through FX" being checked has something to do with it and... Dum ta dum dum... Aux tracks, of which there are several, but only being fed by synth outputs that have no midi inputs assigned and echo off on those synth tracks. So my question to you is do you have Aux tracks in your projects that get or got the toast?? I'm sure you've been following forum "dropout saga" as I have 😴...
