  2. I saw that IK Multimedia Hammond was $39,99 and yesterday I got frustrated that I couldn't use my jam points. So I went to JRRshop to see if some discount was possible. Confirmed, my wallet is happy and the IK Hammond is mine. "And they lived Happily ever after"

  5. After watching The Turtles, Happy Together (documentary link by @pwal. I listened to some songs on Ray Manzarek's The Whole Thing Started With Rock and Roll (Now It's Out of Control ) that have Flo and Eddie as backing singers (e.g., "Love It or Leave It" in bicentennial Blues). I've had the vinyl since the '70s). A Wikipedia article on Flo and Eddie as backup singers led me to The Golden Scarab, which I had never heard before. So, Listening to this now . . . . . On a sad note, along the way I saw an article from June 2023 discussing Volman's Lewy Body Dementia. True to form Volman plans to make, “the most out of every day.”

  20. I've seen and enjoyed your videos with you playing the keys; I think it'd be cool if you updated this thread with a quick video of you playing the Hammond. I've been contemplating buying it for a long time, but I don't play at your level, so I've put it off.

  23. It depends on what you're trying to do, but if it's mainly "harshness" you're trying to remove, then Yes there are alternatives to Soothe 2. This is the one I invested in, and Baphometrix is someone I've learned a lot from. It's also way cheaper than soothe 2

I'm impartial here really, in a way I couldn't care less, I jumped ship in 2015, no intention of returning, it's the Deals forum ya' see, anyway Meng has said a number of times both of his own free will, and in answering or calming the brethren. I read it, you've read it, we've all read it regardless of how it is being spun now by those who spin. OP. you are indeed correct, and it was actually something I wondered myself, actually waiting for it to come up, and quite surprised it didn't.

  27. When you buy a library, you get a single file in the download (can't remember the extension). You drag and drop it on REmatrix to get a prompt to authorise. Once you do, they appear in the built-in browser in the plugin; I admit I haven't searched my drive for files resulting from authorising. I do like REmatrix, but would love to see a UI update to make the browser a bit easier to use.

  28. I'm going to lock this thread just as this same convo has run its course on... numerous other threads, nothing personal @Rickddd. When all the pricing stuff is finalized, we'll let everybody know, but as of right now (and mentioned elsewhere) the current plans we have on deck should be agreeable with most people here. We can't say much beyond that, but we just ask that people be patient. Thanks!

  29. Unused files can also be cleaned up by Utilities > Clean Audio Folder which operates only on the currently open project or by Utilities > Cakewalk Audio Finder (CWAF) which can scan all projects, show you what's used where, what's missing and and what's not used anywhere ("orphaned"), and let you remove all orphaned audio in one go. But it takes a little setup and understanding to use it properly. I've posted a usage tips a few time over the years; here's one: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/50614-files-have-become-disassociated/&do=findComment&comment=386320

  30. popularity has its price - i'm guessing a large number of people want a "live" Melodyne version... i'd like a version where i can use my keyboard to assign notes, but i'm ok with it working as-is for now as well. plus, i have several "live" pitch products i use for "fixing" things on the fly to test if a take is worth keeping or not, or the singer needs some confidence 🙂 (and if the side effects of pitch correction aren't too bad, then i know later in the editing process, things will likely work out).

  32. In my experience the MXL v67GS was an excessively noisy mic, only slightly better than the AT 2020, but then it isn't a C12 or u87 so... but I can say that my old Audiobox 96 was reasonably quiet all it's life. If you are using a hardware gate and it chatters when closing, there's something wrong with it. They should close very smoothly, especially if the release time is not too short.

  35. I gather this means there are remaining MIDI/Instrument tracks that are playing fine; is that right? Audio file associations are stored in the project. If CbB is reporting a file missing, there's likely either a hidden track that's referencing it or possibly you incompletely selected a clip(s) when deleting it, and there's a sliver of a clip remaining in the timeline somewhere that's keeping the reference alive (don't ask me how I know this). Shift+H to show all tracks, then selecting the track numbers of all audio tracks and hitting Delete should take care of it. If you have Instrument tracks that might have had audio recorded or frozen at some point, you might need to split them so you can select and delete synth audio without deleting MIDI. If you can't figure it out, post one of the projects here for us to take a look.
