  2. I believe this may be part of the motivation for Friendly Names to be editable in the first place and the relatively new addition of naming individual inputs using a pipe symbol "|" to delimit the names. From http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=CakewalkSonar&language=3&help=0x20075 So, for the OP, assuming the interface input assignments will not change between projects, one might change the first friendly name from Forcusrite USB Mic 1 to Guitar|Bass|Stereo In preferences this looks like and the input drop down looks like

  5. We are happy to announce that updates are now available for all Pulsar Audio plug-ins. Our plug-ins previously relied on OpenGL for graphics rendering. However, display problems were reported due to compatibility issues with some specific graphics drivers. To solve this, we have developed a new graphics rendering system that uses the best available graphics features, such as Direct3D, Vulkan, or OpenGL, improving compatibility and optimizing resources. In addition, we have also fixed some major bugs on macOS: a crash on Pro Tools on ARM systems and a scanning problem in Audio Unit on Final Cut. Note for Mac users: from this version on, our plug-in bundles are renamed on Mac, to avoid conflicts with other plug-ins: for example "Mu.vst" becomes "Pulsar Mu.vst". Normally this should not be a problem, and we have tested this in all major DAWs; but it is possible that in some DAWs you have problems reloading old sessions. In this case, please contact us and we will help you put everything back in order. Windows Pulsar Echorec 1.5.5 Pulsar Mu 1.4.5 Pulsar Smasher 1.3.7 Pulsar 1178 1.3.6 Pulsar Massive 1.2.5 macOS Pulsar Echorec 1.5.5 Pulsar Mu 1.4.5 Pulsar Smasher 1.3.7 Pulsar 1178 1.3.6 Pulsar Massive 1.2.5 List of Changes All plug-ins Updated the graphic rendering engine. We now use Metal, Vulkan or Direct3D when available. Fixed the problem of a half-sample delay when oversampling is active. Added support for the ARM64 architecture in Pro Tools. Fixed AU validation in Final Cut Pro. Fixed 32-bit VST2 support on Windows. Fixed compatibility with macOS 10.9 and other enhancements. Fixed a crash on some old i7 CPUs. Fixed various visual glitches. Fixed incorrect behavior of the "Preset Modified" indicator in the toolbar when some parameters are locked. Fixed a crash when closing the GUI while reading automation in VST3. Oversampling is now saved in preferences. Fixed some macOS installers not installing the user manuals. Synchronized the plug-ins internal bypass with the DAW's bypass in VST2. Fixed GUI size not being recalled correctly in Cubase when creating a new instance on high resolution monitors. Improved the user manuals. Pulsar Massive Fixed the band solo feature. Fixed image preload issues. Pulsar 1178 Fixed L/R audio mismatch in all-buttons-in mode. Pulsar Mu The "Disable static noise" option now also removes PSU noise. https://pulsar.audio/

  7. Yes and that’s great advice for the op @charles kasler Best way to get all the plug ins you want is to keep your eyes on the deals. I have a lot of $100+ plug ins I got for $10+. By paying attention. In the Instrument sub forum is a couple of threads that list freebies and deals. Also KVR has a newsletter. I always subscribe to emails with companies I want stuff from. I’ve ended up with Melodyne Editor for about 30% less from grabbing Essentials on sale a few years ago for $99, Then the next year they let me upgrade to Artist for another $99 and then this year it was yet another $99 to get Editor. that was a total of $300 and it's list price is $499. By the way I see all Melodyne versions are $100 off right now.

  14. Haha! That's the question I ask myself every single time I contemplate posting a deal here! I'll scan the first two pages and do a search and still wonder if Larry already posted it and I just didn't catch it! In fact, when I do post a deal and Larry likes it, it feels like some kind of award!

  17. This is also a cheap way of adding Rumble to the full version of Cube (which I own), thanks @Wibbles If anyone with the full version of Cube wants to do the same, follow these steps: 1. Get the Rumble serial from your Pluginboutique account. 2. Login to Lunacy audio and go here -->https://lunacy.audio/downloads/ then scroll down and enter the serial for Rumble into the "Register License" box 3. You can now download Rumble and unzip it. 4. Open Cube and go to the browser, then click the Add Expansion button bottom left. 5. Point it to where you unzipped the expansion and then enter the serial at the prompt. Done! BTW I bought Glitchmachines Cryogen for £5 to get the deal. P.S. PM me if you want to swap something for my unregistered copy of Cube Mini. I'm looking for an unregistered serial for UVI Model D.

  20. We just updated our beloved Mel-Lofi free virtual instrument plugin to version 2.0. What we added/changed: as you see, the GUI is changed to make room for new features; we took advantage of the opportunity and tried to make it more attractive; 4 completely new effects were added: delay, chorus, distortion with cabinet emulation, and reverb (different from the previous reverb); the background fx layers remain the same but they have new volume sliders and icons; we added a velocity knob, allowing you to play as usual with velocity sensitivity enabled, but also with fixed velocity like the original real instrument. The fixed velocity can be adjusted; the plugin now has 24 multi-sampled presets, with one more than the previous version. The preset is called Octave Strings and emulates old tape strings. We hope you like the new update! IMPORTANT: if you have projects created with Mel-Lofi 1.0, please note down your preset names before upgrading. But if wish, you can have both versions installed on your computer. NOTE: The previous version is still available in your downloads section. 25. It is definitely one of the toughest things ive taken on Wookie. I am a vet, ex para and you can forget all this elite British forces nonsense, nothing compares to getting up at 3 in the morning to screams when you mum falls out of bed and breaks her tib and fib, lifting her in bed when she naked, puke everywhere from her pain, her heart monitor machine flashing red and then waiting 13hrs for a f**king ambulance. She got a heart monitor device by her bed what sends signals to the hospital but did not speed up the process due to her triple heart bypass, kidney disease and diabetes. I don’t even know what’s the point of having this state of the heart (pun) £1000 bit of useless kit by her bed, well some government private firm (Tory Donor) on a large mark-up probably. Yeh it can send a signal to hospital faster than I can call the hospital to wait 13hrs, insane illogical system. The medication Dr always get wrong, now we order it online, Dr authorises it, go and pick it up and only half of it is there or its wrong at least 4 times a year, more petrol and parking for a second trip after number 19 in the queue to speak to the Dr that screwed it up haha. I have to laugh. I’ve only been doing this from 2019, ruined my relationship and I am constantly managing stress, thank the universe for music and cakewalk haha. Unfortunately, I live in the south UK down in Plymouth and all our Family is up North in Leeds which means I do everything on my own without much of a break which as you know is distressing at times, an emotional punch bag and you have to make life sacrifices. I lost a big contract in Philippines that would have pretty much helped me for live financially, to now scraping by but was my choice. All the decisions have been the hardest thing I’ve done, its my mum and totally understands you 100% regarding the Family. People don’t understand, not even Family that are not fully involved doing the work, I get the vibe in the song, we put everything we experience into music, that sometime we can’t say or express. I all always appreciate people’s music and can hear where people’s moods and emotions were at the time of writing. Theres two types of songs, (i) the people that just writes a song, traditional verse chorus etc chooses something to write about, maybe a experience they had in the past or they have a idea from a riff etc mush of these can sound manufactured. Then there’s the songs what we just write in the moment, from what’s happening in our life, the feelings and emotions we going through, they are the best songs, the real songs we write with mood which your doing here.

  35. Yes the one on 50 free compressors took almost 2 months overall. But I ended up with too much info so made it into a 4 part series. Then this testing Midi had me doing more testing and trying to figure stuff out than I thought too. Best thing about the process is I really learn about about Cakewalk. Like I just discovered Aim Assist doing these. How come I didn't find that 1 year ago when I needed it! You never stop learning.

  37. I understand what Lars is saying here, but it doesn’t get Izotope off the hook for how much you have to spend to get RX 10 Advanced, (which I don’t see as a major upgrade over a combination of 9 Advanced and 10 Standard.)Many of us already have the other Izotope stuff we need, have more than enoughPA stuff to last a lifetime, and feel that Guitar Rig has substantially fallen behind the the other big guitar sims out there.

  40. Don't use plug-ins (VST). 😒 But seriously, more info on your computer system, sound card or audio interface and what plug-ins you're using would help us help you. Plus, this thread is 2 1/2 years-old, and the OP never came back to tell us what happened, so starting a new thread with the pertinent information we need to help you would be better.

  41. A bunch of dependable regulars very favorable opinions on Cube led to me picking this up for ten bucks a few months ago. I like it, but I didn't pull the trigger on their upgrade offer shortly after my purchase (maybe I will in the future). I was thinking of buying something in order to pick up the Rumble expansion pack. In case anyone wants to hear what the presets in the Rumble expansion sound like, here's a YouTube video going through them:

  43. Tried doing both ways. (Importing does not bring in tempo changes). Same results. AH HA! So if I import midi onto already created tracks it works fine. So maybe you import the midi files after creating the tracks. If you need tempo data you can copy and paste it from opening the midi file in a separate Cake file. If one wanted to do a deeper dive, pick up MIDICVS (here is a direct link to the Windows binary) and compare the MIDI files. To see the difference between the original file and the imported file, save project containing the imported MIDI as a new MIDI file then run both the original and new MIDI files through MIDICVS. This will create two plain text comma separated files from the MIDI data.

  45. https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/audio-blast-blast-delay-plugin/ ADSR are offering a FREE copy of Blast Delay by AudioBlast, with paid purchases from the ADSR store during March. Blast Delay is a simple and intuitive delay with a built-in parameter sequencer. You can program independent loops of motion sequences for each knob with independent speeds. Tweak your effect in live situations and recall all the parameters in the sequencer. The sequencer allows you to sequence all the parameters of the Blast Delay to pre-program motion sequences of parameters in loops. The sequencer is synchronized to the hosts tempo and each step of the sequencer represents the value in percentage of the parameter from 0 to 100%.
