It seems to me the default behavior of Smart tool in 2019.07 is pretty much unchanged in most contexts except that you might want to disable 'Set During Playback' for Click Behavior in the Track View Options menu. You'll need to clarify 'Ripple Edit doesn't work as before' and 'AD2 really unmanageble' with examples.

I think there is a small bug when using "view undo" when first opening a project. After opening a project (can be a single audio track) saved so that the now time is far enough along that time=0 is not visible, hold Z down and zoom in using the mouse, then use Alt-Z to undo this zoom. The view rewinds to show time=0 rather than the original view (although the now time is not moved). This happens immediately after opening the file. Performing some edits will sometimes restore the correct behaviour, and sometimes not. I haven't managed to pin down which edits fix the problem. Cheers, Peter. p.s. There is much about Cakewalk by BandLab I do not understand but the short videos and comprehensive descriptions help me to understand the new behaviors. I'm loving the bi-lateral communication taking place in this forum. 2019.07 is a giant step forward and the communication is an important component of the advancement.

Hello, I noticed Cakewalk by Bandlab's 2019.07 update included some changes in how or when toast notifications are displayed which begs the question, "What is a toast notification?" I searched the Cakewalk by Bandlab Reference Guide but did not find a definition. @Morten Saether Hopefully a formal definition will be added in an upcoming update to the document, hint hint. Meanwhile, it will be interesting and enlightening to read all responses.

For 2019.07 Build 79, when I right click over a track in the track pane, the arrow that pops up for making a selection in the context menu is the timeline zoom arrow with the magnifying glass. I doubt that, simply because it's only existed since 2018. The latest release is 2019.07.

(2019 07 build 79) Liking the update!! Frozen track (numerous clips) > Time Inserted to project ( ex 1 measure) All this was done several weeks ago. Today: Unfreeze track> underlying data is now displaced; not reflecting the additional time that was inserted. 1. Was this always the behavior and I just never encountered it? or product of recent update? Thanks!

I just noticed this today. I'm running the very latest hotfix (2019 07 build 79). It used to be when I was editing audio and wanted to make a cut, I'd hit the F8 key until the editing cursor changed to a "scissors" symbol. Now the symbol does not change, until I move the cursor just slightly. Generally speaking, any changes to the editing mode via the F8 key do not immediately reflect in the cursor style. But they used to. A bug? Or have I set something wrong?

I have to update this post. I have cleaned my VST folder of old and unused VST plugins, installed CbB 2019.07 and then the program detected all my Waves plugins. Thank you Bakers!

It sounds like something is blocking the .dll files from being able to register in Windows. This wouldn't be specific to 2019.07 as the installer hasn't changed. Typically its a pending Windows update or possibly an antivirus interfering with the install. I'd double-check if you can force any additional Windows updates for sure, and if you keep having trouble, you can e-mail support for additional troubleshooting steps.

Latest Eventide Elevate Mastering Bundle updates Not sure when previous updates were release but I checked recently (around May23rd) and at that point v1.5.7 was the latest**. Cubase 10.20 is on the machine. Cubase was on the machine before the install of 2019.7 and this dialog box never came up. I have searched the computer and there is no generic ASIO driver listed.

There have been a few threads reporting the same issue over years. In this past the user reported Cubase was installed on the machine The first message in the OP looks like the Cubase Generic Driver message. It seems strange that this machine only has CbB, SoundForge 13.0 B100 and Adobe Audition 2019 installed. I suppose Magix could have added their Generic Driver to SoundForge (although I do not recall it throwing the Generic Driver dialog) or Audio Audition may have added one to their newer software.

Build 70 was the original public release. Did you not see the hotfix thread? We fixed that over a week ago and had a build for everyone who had the problem to try. It's definitely fixed in the final 2019.07 release build 79

They seem to be OK here using both the original and your updated 2019 version. Any chance they're being overidden at the Colors level? Selecting anything other than the Normal preset can darken those, even using Bright... as counter-intuitive as that seems.

Waves has multiple options for keeping up with your ‘Keys’. Cloud (where your keys are when you buy the plugs), C drive (where they go after installation), USB stick ( where you SHOULD move them to after installation) Waves doesn’t even make you buy iLok! You can use any old USB stick. If you put your licenses on the C drive and wipe your drives clean to change CPU or hard drives then you’ve essentially thrown away your cars keys and then complain that the dealership will only give you 1 new set a year. Waves will let you download as many times as you like, even multiple computers. Keep up with your keys! Use a USB stick for crying out loud. 😂 You can also move licenses back to the cloud for changing CPU or hard drive and then back to C drive. Why not just keep your ‘keys’ on the USB stick? You probably have the latest and greatest one of those I’m assuming. 😉 Also their plugs can be found in c:\program files (x86)\common files\vst3 c:\program files\common files\vst3 c:\program files\vstplugins Add those to your scan path and rescan in Cakewalk when you install or add new stuff. Fairly straight forward. 😄 Lastly, they aren’t forcing you to update or upgrade any of your plugins. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’m still driving a 96 Ford explorer. Does Ford want me to upgrade to the 2019 model with bluetooth and Sirius? YES Do I upgrade? NO my 96 Ford is still getting me where I need to go. I do understand your frustrations, but a lot of that could be self inflicted. I am definitely feeling CPU envy though!😄✌️
